How Arteta Just REIGNITED Arsenal's Season in the NLD | Arsenal 2-1 Spurs Tactical Analysis
With a North London Victory against Spurs, Arsenal soared back into second in the Premier League table, four points behind Liverpool. So, how did Mikel Arteta REIGNITE Arsenal's 2024/25 campaign, and why does it have so much to do with Myles Lewis-Skelly, Declan Rice, and William Saliba?
Today's video provides a tactical analysis of Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur. First, we look at Arsenal's full backs, Jurrien Timber and Myles Lewis-Skelly, and how they catalyze rotations, unpredictability, and give dynamism to Arsenal's attacking dynamics. Next, we talk about the effects this had for the role of Declan Rice, and how Martin Odegaard was impacted as part of the chain of dominoes. Finally, we end with William Saliba, another imperious display on Wednesday evening where the Frenchman set the tempo for Arsenal from the back line.
I also cover the tactics behind the Gunners' press, as well as speaking about Gabriel Magalhaes, Thomas Partey, Raheem Sterling, Leandro Trossard, Kai Havertz, and David Raya.
Spurs opened the scoring through Son Heung-Min, but within 5 first half minutes Arsenal, through a Dominic Solanke own goal and then Trossard, fought back to turn things around.
Can Arsenal win the 2024/25 Premier League, and stay alive in the title race?
This channel covers the entire Premier League, including Liverpool, Arne Slot, Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, Manchester Unuited, Ruben Amorim, Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, Newcastle United, Eddie Howe, the Champions League, and much more!
Arsenal face Unai Emery's Aston Villa at home on Saturday.
Who will the Gunners sign in the January transfer window? Reports suggest they have landed Martin Zubimendi for the summer already, but will any of Alexander Isak, or Benjamin Sesko join this window with the injury to Gabriel Jesus?

    Great vid Harvey, Myle's current physical development looks outstanding, he definitely feels ready for the midfield. But with Zubimendi coming through and the potential for a Sverre Nypan, I think questions are going to have to be asked about Odegaard sooner or later since his best deep build up/all phase role will start to feel redundant, especially if Vieira is fit for minutes and Nwaneri is first team level, and lets not forget about Dowman coming through. But midfield looks outstanding for the future and I feel like Rice will finally have his all encompassing do it all midfielder role in the double pivot

      Thanks so much. So kind. Myles is staggering. What I was starting to mention in today’s video. Will discuss more in the Zubi vid, but need to find a way to discuss it in a more nuanced way. But the question of who the true 10 is with more of a stricter Rice-Zubi pairing is a conversation to be had.

    • @bna919
      @bna919 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Myles is ready for midfield but I feel like it's better for the team if he is left back. Odegaard will probably just become more final third orientated with Rice and Zubimendi behind him. Nypan would be a great signing and I really want to see how Nwaneri would operate as a number 9

    • @heringeno2126
      @heringeno2126 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@bna919 If Rice and Zubimendi are in a double pivot we need an attacking fullback like a Davies or Balde to keep the width since they’re not inverting. Here lies the problem with Odegaard though, as a #10 he’s alright but far from the best, Vieira and Nwaneri completely eclipse him in talent due to Ode’s one footedness, angle bias, lack of a elite final ball and lack of carrying and driving power through central areas. His best parts are when he comes deep which all those midfield players cover and more due to their physicality

    • @bna919
      @bna919 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@heringeno2126 OK now I think recency bias is starting to show. Viera completely eclipsing Odegaard in talent as a 10??? Odegaard was arguably second to Messi in LaLiga when it came to creativity as a 10 at Real Sociedad. Odegaard has a great final ball the problem is that he sometimes overthinks and his passes become too clever. As for ball carrying I understand what you are saying but truth be told ball carrying won't be much of an issue considering as a 10 Odegaard will be further forward closer to the goal looking to slip passes through and break down low blocks. At the end of the day there isn't that much difference between an modern attacking 8 and a 10. It might even help Odegaard to have even more freedom to roam to spaces where his angle bias is less apparant.

    • @heringeno2126
      @heringeno2126 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ Profile wise Ødegaard is simply inferior as a #10, don’t get me wrong he’s creative, but Vieira xA numbers and chance creation numbers in both the Portuguese league and his very minuscule sample size in Arsenal are up there with Trent’s and KDB’s. If Arsenal’s #10 stays up there consistently, you would simply rather Vieira. Outrageous ball striking, simply way out of Odegaard’s league (compare their goal catalogues). Vieira can strike well on both feet, as a consequence of his ballstriking his final ball is also ways ahead of Ødegaard. And he may not have Nwaneri’s driving power but he’s so much more willing to overlap. The only thing Ødegaard, profile wise, has over him is his pressing ability, and while Vieira might not be as good, for a #10, it’s value compared to the other listed qualities, isn’t as high

    So what makes u so confident Harvey that this Manager can Deliver, i believe the team can deliver but not so much the manager. Mind You I'm not even Arteta Out but I wouldn't say with chest that he can win major honours, he clearly has some serious blind spots. Ranieri got dismissed in 04 then Mourinho got appointed and the rest is history, why are we acting like Arteta is some Saint from the heavens here to deliver us, we've had great managers in the past and we will have great managers in the future. U speak of injuries, but frankly thats a distraction, the issue and what others have been saying is the lack of investment in certain areas of the pitch, and the stoke-like tactics we employ. Speaking further on tactics u said u wanted saka to be platformed more centrally, now has that happened has your manager tried anything u suggested in your videos, has he preempted issue that the team might face. Finally u say that u are an optimistic supporter, and while having a positive outlook is good, it also means u will justify wrongs instead of calling it out. Its like sitting in a Burning building drinking a cool glass of water and mentioning how refreshing the water is.

AFTV is, without exception, the worst thing that has ever happened to our glorious club in all of its history. They put the majority of Arsenal's wonderful fanbase to shame. And anyone who truly believes Arteta should be sacked should just go and follow Tottenham.

    Just got a new subscriber for calling out the bad eggs in our fan base or content creators.

      How people can be ok by trying to stoke a fire that we’ve moved past over five years ago drives me insane. Need to enjoy the fact that we are HERE, competing, and will be for the foreseeable future so long as the squad is continually replaced well. You’d have hoped we had moved past it. But football fans will football fan. We need to be good to each other ❤️

    Harvey your suggestion is exactly same as I thought if we attack faster maybe there is no team they can defend our attack, don’t know why we make our attack slower

    obviously we need to buy a striker this window, but what are your thoughts on the possibility of bringing back Reiss abd Fabio from their loans, so we can bolster the squad and maybe hold off till the summer for a big move for a winger?

    Thank you, bro. I wish you all the best with your channel. With all the negativity surrounding our club from fans and media outlets alike, it's so good to hear some level-headed conversation. COYG!!!!

    Thanks. I've been waiting anxiously for your perspective since; which fortunately coincides with mine. Arteta has spoilt our fans so much so that they are presently ungrateful!

    Top notch content as always. I have a question though, there’s a narrative that odegaard is holding us back as a football club called “odegaardism” Do you believe such narratives and if yes or no can you explain. Thank you, Chidi From Nigeria.

    Harry, you don’t have to name-shame them. Their financial well being is predicated on Arsenal doing badly. Their same group that threatened to shoot the manager; that hounded out Xhaka and Wenger, and are now on Havertz. They were against Arteta from day 1, and now are more interested in being proven right, than Arsenal winning. Thanks for a sober and insightful analysis.
