5:13 that was exciting. Really had me on edge 😂. Also, you'll be excited to know I actually just purchased a dropper and I am going to actually do a video on installing it on my Norton so then you can get a look at what mine looks like. I figure since I won't have to keep changing camera angles, it should be pretty easy to film.
@@DuanegerZone so far so good although I do think my frames a bit small, or I'm just really used to the stretched out geometry of my old GT Aggressor Pro. I just filmed a bike check video I'm going to be posting on my channel later tonight. I am in the process of installing the dropper but for the life of me can't figure out how to calculate how much cable or housing I need to cut. With my dumbass dropper post, any extra cable needs to be cut off at the dropper side, not the lever side. The dropper side of the cable has a little barrel that cinches to the cable and on the lever side it has a permanent barrel that sits in the lever after threading the cable through the lever. It makes it so much harder because any adjustment of the cable length needs to be done at the dropper, which is inside the damn seat tube so it's not like I'm able to see it. The dropper I got is an Exa-Form 900i.
$100 is a great price for a Oneup.... they make great products. For me, personally, my sweet spot is 150mm... my current dropper is only 125mm (it was all that was available at the price point... but I make it work). For the Norton, you'll need a 31.6 diameter post.

Niiiice! I look forward to watching the video.... how are you liking the bike so far?

I'm eyeing the Oneup v2 dropper since its on sale for $100. What's the ideal length and diameter for the medium size?

What would be recommended for a size L on Marlin 7?
Depends on your height... for me, at 5'10 I would use a 150mm on a medium bike... but I'd probably only use a 125mm on a large.
@ hey thanks for replying! Im 6’0 so basically would be the same as yours.
