    2023 YEAR IN REVIEW
    In 2023, the Museum of Technology hosted record numbers of ticketed visitors since its Heritage Lottery Fund redevelopment: thank you to all our visitors as well as the tens of thousands of patrons of our on-site hospitality partners in the riverside gardens.
    In addition to its regular opening hours the Museum of Technology also hosted over 60 public and private events, community activities and tours, including:
    * four steam days (April | June | October | December)
    * exhibitions (Radio Enters the Home | Scavengers | vintage vehicles | and steam-roller!)
    * festivals (Folk Day | Food for the Planet Festival | Cambridge Festival | Cambridge Tech Week)
    * workshops (printing | engineering)
    * STEM education and tours (school and community group visits | Pye History Trust | Open Cambridge)
    * museum partnerships: Twilight at the Museums | Summer with the Museums | European Route of Industrial Heritage | SHARE museums
    * performances (by Arts Council Now! | Robert Lloyd Parry | Some Voices choir)
    * research presentations (Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Group | Association for Industrial Archaeology)
    * community hosting (Riverside Area Residents Association | Friends of the River Cam | craft group)
    A big thank you to Museum volunteers, hospitality partners, museum partners and staff for making these events so successful!
    In 2023 volunteers also provided ‘eye-catching’ painting, signage, digital screens and site maintenance around the Museum’s grounds.
    John Little (Chair) and Mike Blackburn (Treasurer) - thank you!
    At the Annual General Meeting in December 2023, John Little (Chair) and Mike Blackburn (Treasurer) completed their rotation on the Museum's board of Trustees. A big thank-you to the pair for their many contributions in steering the Museum through a major development, then lockdowns and re-openings!
