GTA IV was made in 2008. "Behind enemy lines" (with Vladimir Mashkov, the future face for Nico Bellic) was released in 2001

I still enjoy that movie.
This uplifted me during tough battles I face at times. I really do admire the way this entire film was directed and put togetber as it was some how based on Captain Scott O'grady shutdown over Bosnia as a Nato/US pilot, stationed at Aviano US military base in Italy a few miles across Bosnia policing the sky of no flight zone 1995. He and his wing man Cpt Wright call-sign (Basha-1) and (Basha-5).
Surface Air Missiles ( SAM ) war engaged at them by the Bosnian forces but unfortunately Cpt Scott O'grady was clipt and shutdown, survived a successful ejection then the run for his survival began Behind Enemy Line on Bosnia soil.
He survived but wasn't an easy task for him and his family as well of the US marines from the USS-Kearsarge Wasp class amphibious assault ship who risked their lives conducted by Lt.Burnes who over looked the entire operation.
President Clinton was frilled and satisfied of the operation.
There were no US casualties besides one marines water canister stopping a small arms fire while sitting on the Sea-hawk rescue helicopter as the rescue proceeded. Several Serbs soldias and para military volunteers were engaged by return fire from the US marines as well as Fully armed Cobra gunship small birds paved the way.
May their souls rest in peace.
i think this is the only movie where i see owen wilson play a serious role than comedic one
There's also "no escape" 2015 with puerce brosnan. It's a really good thriller
Just a tiny detail at 15:56; those aren't Blackhawks. They are UH-1Ys, basically the modern Huey from Vietnam. The Marine Corp uses them.

Oh yeah I remember this movie I used to enjoy watching it then I later found out the true story was about Scott O'Brady the only us pilot ever shot down in Bosnia. Despite being based on a true story this literally was not Scott O'Brady story this was actually a fictional character based on Scott O'Brady but however the film was done without his permission. From what I heard he actually filed a lawsuit against the studio or whoever was involved in making the film.

Great movie! After he has been rescued he retired and become a fashion model and his co pilot rumored being alive and become a lawyer and his Captain offered back to be a captain again but not on aircraft carier but on a submarine.

One of the world's best suspense and action packed movie. This film made Owen Wilson one of the world's superstar.
I can watch Behind Enemy Lines 7 times a week. Netflix here in my country failed to have this. I don't know why.

Many people asking for movie title, like bruh look at the description💀 the movie is titled "Behind enemy lines"
Well, if you're ever find yourself in flying around over the Balkans in an F/A-18F and start taking fire from some angry Serb rebels rolling around in a Strela-10 mobile surface-to-air missile system, I'd recommend NOT doing the stuff they did in the movie. There exist better ways. Instead, start pumping out flares, dive towards the ground, stay as low as possible, and use the mountainous terrain to break line of site with the SAM. SAMs don't chase like in the movie or whirl back around and have another go at it if the pass you. Once they pass you, miss, chase a decoy, or if you break line-if-sight, even just for half a second, that's about it. The missile has been defeated.

Speaking of a lawyer apparently the real pilot Scott O’Brady the only American ever shot down in Bosnia ranted about how this movie was full of garbage not to mention this film was done without his permission. It was all based on his account of survival until he was finally rescued by US Marines. The film goes on showing the heroic US pilot Chris Burnett going around like he’s a bad ass going to fight. In the most reckless way possible as was described while in real life, Scott Brady never even did any of that stuff. The only thing he did was literally stay hidden evade not go around, acting like some Rambo like character. Besides his criticism towards the film, he literally filed the lawsuit against the people who made it.

This is a badass movie. How the casting director knew to choose Owen Wilson as lead, I will never know, because at this point in time Owen Wilson is a no name actor and he did a phenomenal job in this movie. I honestly believe Owen Wilson should have won an Oscar for his performance in "Behind Enemy Lines."
Sorry. Owen Wilson was hardly a no name actor. I would suggest you look up all Owens movies prior to this movie🇦🇺

This film's cinematography was terrific. One of the better-shot and produced war films in terms of ambiance, effects, and realism. The outdoor scenes were not on some back-stage lot. Its not Platoon or Private Ryan in terms of the pantheon of war movies, but its a very good and entertaining 2hrs. The minor characters in the pickup truck (Coca Cola truck) were especially strong and well-cast even if their parts were small. The ending where Chris grabs and swings on the rope to get saved by the Blackhawk off the cliff is typical Hollywood fluff and totally unnecessary but it is what it is.

14:30 - Vladimir Mashkov's character Sasha seemed to be the actual tough guy in the movie. Cold, calculative and steely, who can conveniently torture and kill in cold blood, and can also trade you to achieve his target. Completely unpredictable and ideal for black ops by non-State actors.

Fun fact: Behind enemy lines(2001) was R-rated because Jeremys execution was bloody and the mass graves had chopped of heads but John Moore changed the gore effects and it got a PG-13 rating

Well this is awkward, my name is Chris Burnett..
so, let's see if I get it right... a cowboy of a pilot violates instructions by going into a no-fly zone, gets his friend killed as a consequence and a fighter jet stuffed with military know-how shot to the ground. his boss goes on to break the story to the media risking sparkling a war to extract (no, to get a ghostly chance of extraction) the said cowboy... what else? All of this doesn't strike me as singularly responsible, adult-like and particularly organized in a way worthy of a military organization of a nuclear superstate. oh, what is that I'm seeing for dessert? a captain going on a mission of extraction personally? an aircraft carrier captain leaves the ship endangering his mission to "get our boy"? has anyone any brain in this plot?
That's why I was scratching my head with this TH-cam title ".... their worst nightmare." The pilot character is the U.S. Navy's worst nightmare. I enjoyed the movie. This digest ain't it.
it is believable because it was a peace mission of the UN, not any war intervention by the USA

You may wonder why pilot kept on running while sniper followed by walking yet he's always at reach.. this is because adrenaline run requires a lot of rest to relax cramped leg muscles to resume running. Only those who ran for their lives will understand.
