Top tip for the G29 pedals. You can open the pedal assembly and swap the clutch and the brake pedals. Makes left foot braking alot more comfortable if you just use the paddle shifters and you’re using a driving rig like the Playseat Evolution.
I was going to get the new CSL DD + but the way Fanatec is acting is like a company about to go bankrupt. They shouldn't be accepting any pre-orders until Sony approves the CSL DD+. Imagine Sony said it needed an emergency stop button, they would've to send every DD + back to the assembly line.
fanatec is acting like any company that hired a consultant on how they can make more money and is being overrun by chinese quality like everything else today. Cowardly new world.
The reason Fanatec seems somewhat disorganized lately is not because they're going out of business (lol) it's because they have completely overhauled and upgraded their QR system and are transitioning to that over the next year. Probably why the current wheels and motors are being sold in bundles for stellar prices.
@@23ograin53. The last part of your comment doesn’t seem to jive with the rest of it. It also sounds exactly like the Fanatec marketing spin. Maybe they are fine, they should at least stop acting like they aren’t.
Hang in there, I had lost all faith, waited months many emails etc. But I can happily report they refunded the total amount, which was 1300 odd. I'm nervous as hell, as I've not had a wheel for nearly 6 months. Need to get another ASAP and unfortunately cause I need it for Gt7 I'm going to have to buy from fanatec again, logitech wheel don't impress me unfortunately, so to say I'm nervous is an understatement 🙁
I use the T248 on PS5, severely underrated, and always gets missed in comparisons like this. It's biggest selling point over my G29 is the pedals. It comes with the T3PM hall pedals as standard. No potentiometer issues like I had with the G29. Wheel quality could be better in terms of materials, but it's still a great wheel, but the pedals sell it, it's belt and gear combi give great feedback, and it can produce a lot of torque for a non DD wheel, especially for it's price.
Yes the T248 is a great wheel and pedals especially for the price. I got mine for 220 quid a year ago off amazon. And yes it does often get left out for some reason.
I reached out to Moza a while back, the ES wheel included in the R3 bundle will make other Moza DD bases Xbox compatible. I plan on buying the R3 bundle and upgrading the base and pedals over time. Fanatec seems too risky at the moment 🤷♂️
Ive been racing almost nonstop for 5 years on a controller. Im finding lots of excuses as to why i shouldnt get a wheel but it is something i fantasise about regularly! One day... Maybe....
To touch on the Fanatec delivery stuff: I ordered a bunch of bits a couple of weeks ago (Universal Hub V2, GT wheel rim, CLS Pedal Tuning Kit & CLS DD Boost kit) and I had no issues at all with delivery to the UK. They sent everything out a couple of days after ordering, and the next week I had all but one of the items. That one item which didn't arrive with everything else was the wheel rim, and the issue was on UPS's end, but it only got delayed by an extra day due to some issue in one of their sorting hubs. Of course, my experience won't be the same for everyone, but I just thought I'd throw my recent experience out there.
I've got the Logitech pro the only downside is you they don't make different wheels only standard Would love to see a GT3 wheel or even a F1 wheel this would take it to the next level
Thanks for the video. Please ask Logitech when they may launch different style wheels? It would be great if they had a formula style wheel to expand the economy system.
I started out with a Thrustmaster T300RS & the Playseat challenge seat. After seeing that I fell in love with sim racing and wanted to get a better setup I upgraded to the Logitech G Pro w/ pro pedals and mounted them on the Playseat Trophy and I’m am extremely happy with the setup! The true force feedback on the wheel adds so much to the experience and is even strong enough so send some of that throughout my seat. & the Playseat trophy seat has soooo many different seating and pedal position options that as long as you take the time to set it up you’ll find something really comfortable for racing.
Wow thanks for that added bit about the Tru Force. I was about to buy a fanatec DD But keep hearing people rave about the fidelity of the true force on the Logitech g pro and I couldn't make up my mind but I guess the choice is obvious now
Been thinking of getting a wheel as a casual racer, so ive been looking for one that is cheap but still decent quality. Primarily torn between the Thrustmaster t300 and Logitech g29. This is a very helpful vid 💜
Logitech g pro system is absolutely brilliant! Love it 100% , wish they had more wheels tho, I want a gt style wheel for it really bad. Not a deal breaker for me tho, since the wheelbase and the d shaped wheel are really good anyways. Trueforce in gt7 definetly gives you a extra layer of information through the wheel.
I've ordered the G Pro today having thought about what to buy for my new rig for months. Reason I've gone with the G Pro - It's got the power with 11 NM's, loadcell pedal, Trueforce, and most importantly - I trust the vendor. Having read and watched literally countless horror stories about the market leader, I'm not prepared to take that risk. Will I regret it? We shall see, I might also have regretted going with Fanatec. It sounds like the G Pro is solid, and it just works. That's what I want. Time will tell. Thanks for all of your videos.
Cheers Kireth I have severe anxiety disorder took me ages to order a GT DD pro and spend out. Now find out they've got my 900 plus quid and I have to wait with it saying transfer to warehouse, UPS have a tracking number. Obviously the anxiety is through the roof and my experience of levelling up has been pissed on
I believe it’s probably great but does not deserve more attention because Logitech treated customers so bad. Nearly 2 years old No wheels No handbrake No proper shifter No nothing Really sad but I don’t think it will change.
That G923 is massively underrated with true force, the brake pedal is just right (i drive a car with braided lines and ceramic pads) and i just took to that brake pedal instantly. Sure, it's no DD but it's a fantastic budget wheel, even better if you mod the pedals to be inverted. The only downside is that little deadspot at the centre position. This is probably due to it being geared. I'd LOVE the PS5 DD pro, i just can't push myself just yet even though i know it'll be much better. I just find the G923 to meet 90° of my needs. The feel of loss of traction is pretty cool. Again, i know it's no DD but that doesn't take away from it's abilities especially at it's price point 🫡
I’ve always thought about the Logitech rim problem🤔 they literally make McLaren f1 teams wheel (as you said) so why don’t they make a replica? Hardcore fans would be crazy over that.
I am so glad someone finally explained clearly and within the first minute that I needed the fantec wheel base with an Xbox wheel. I have been looking for that piece of information to be confirmed for months! Thanks 🙏
ahhh man why is this so difficult! its taking me months to save up for the GTDD PRO but the way fanatec are im just plain scared to splash the cash! I'm on PS5 GT7 and ACC HELP!! great info as usual kireth 👍👍👍

We went with the Logitech G pro wheel and pedals on a GT Omega ART cockpit for PlayStation. Love everything, but ART cockpit could use some extra supports to reduce flex. No stock at GT Omega for those support bars.
Thank you so much Kireth, I have amassed all this information over the years but it’s nice to have it all in one spot so I can get everything straight, have a G923 but keep wanting to upgrade to a Fanatec but you saying that the Logitech Pro is your go to and Fanatec acting a bit iffy right now has definitely helped my decision, thanks again Bud!
Love the look of your sim-space! Thanks for taking the time to make this video, right now it's confirmed my idea to go with the Logitec G-Pro when the time comes!
Good call, even though it has no wheel options atm, it's an amazing wheel and wheelbase. Bought it at release and been heavily using works like brand new, not a single issue with it.
If you’re in the US at least Logitech gives you an automatic discount wheel you get the PS or Xbox wheelbase and pedals together. It stacks with other discounts as well and they give 2-3 day shipping with it at no add cost. Obviously I’m in the Logitech camp but it’s been totally legit experience 9 months in now. Also truly if you like the haptic feedback of the dual sense controller the Trueforce takes it up another level of your installing the Pro into a rig.
Hi Kireth, thanks for another great vid. Logitech do actually sell separate wheel rims now, they can be used on an Xbox, with a playstation wheel base when set to PC mode.👍
Logitech G Pro in games that support trueforce is basically an otherworldly experience. Nothing from the other main players matches it. They just need more steering wheels and I'm pretty sure they're coming this year
Im planning on buying the t300 rs gt. Is there any other wheel that is better than that one for a similar price, I want it for Grand turismo and f1 23’
Bro! Thank you for the review. I just bought the wheel and pedals for PS5. I used your code and got the wheel for $849 and pedals for $296! Wow! great discount. Thank you! Can't wait to use this set up.
Thanks for this video. I have the logitech dd pro on order, but started having doubts after reading some people reviews, after your video I'm exited again.
I have had one for a year. It’s absolutely fantastic. The single only negative I can say is there’s no good shifter you can use with it and no e brake at all. That I know of anyway.
I currently have a G920 and I have to disagree about the pedals. The brake pedal does not feel good. I have my max deadzone set to 70 (in FM) to avoid full brake pedal travel but I still don't have much confidence to brake as hard as I might need to. I'm planning on upgrading to the Fanatec CSL DD McLaren bundle + load cell brake pedal in the next few months.
Hey Kireth since I have a fanatec dd and McLaren wheel for racing. Would u recommend the wrc wheel for drifting? Or is it just not up to par with other fanatec wheels?
Only problem with the moza is there unreleased wheel isn’t even compatible with crew motor fest farming sim 22 only older games like crew 2 horizon 5 and older farm sim games
Does the G pro have the same pedals as the G923 buddy, and is the plug the same? As mentioned, I've modified mine and i'd like to retain them if possible, if not is the brake pedal the same? I don't mind re-modifying. I kinda fancy that Pro now 🤭
Always enjoy your vids sir. I just bought the csl dd because it’s great for the price, I fancied the Logitech’s g pro but couldn’t justify £1200 for a wheel it’s way to much unless you do what u do but for me fanatec win win.
@Kireth was having the race of my life too! Started 12th, got up to 2nd, 3 laps to go and the shifters stopped working, had to finish the race stuck in 6th gear ffs 😂😂
Are there any cheap DD wheelbases that either doesn't come with a "quick release", or where the quick release can be bolted off using a standard 6x70 bolt pattern? I just want a wheelbase that doesn't lock me to their "ecosystem" or where I have to pay a bunch of extra to bolt on a simple rally wheel which I already possess. I don't need a gaming quick release, I have a fia approved one that I can just bolt on if I wanted that. Currently running a t300 with a plastic adapter but I hate the delay, slow momentum, and mushyness that comes with a beltdriven wheel, and it clips a lot more than I'd like.
Ive gotta say, im using the g920, its the first wheel ive had, and i think its an absolutely great starting place. Im sure after time and practise, it may be worth spending that bit more, but itll either be the cammus, or the fanatec around the 5-8nm area. I shouldnt think ill need any more than that.
When you say that the CSL DD is compatihle with PS and XBOX you mean the GT DD PRO (wich is much more expensive then the CSL DD), right? Because on the site sais that the CSL DD is only compatible with PC...
i havent had problems with my moza r9 v2 with cs wheel but i hard in group and discord that moza service is hit and miss but im not sure i havent had one problem yet. they say if your getting moza get it from a retailer so return and rma are easier
I caught that started from the bottom the bottom now your there 😂😂😂😂. This helped me so much. Im a new racer, and ive been finishing top 5 in ACC lately, but i feel I need new wheel bundle as im using TM TMX (I know its old, but it was givem to me. Couldnt affor a wheel with 3 kids amd school!). Im doing good with the TMX. Is it worth spending 600 for a new wheel if im decently fast?
I'd recommend trying out the T300. I've been using my Thrustmaster TX (T300 for Xbox) for a good while now. The feel and strenght of the force feedback is a huge improvement to the G920. It's way smoother in delivery too. Just look out for overheating, it might become an issue. A better cooling fan resolved the issue for me.
I bought a new wheel every time Logitech came out with something better. The last of which what's a G29 and I bet it's almost 10 years old now. It's got about half as many years in normal use, and it's been apart once for repair, and it was literally a loose screw. I remember when it and my playseat we're cutting edge. Helical gears were the big deal. It was quiet. People were blown away by a simulator in your livingroom back then. Now the G29 is considered entry-level.. and sim rigs are common. Makes me feel good that they still produce them. It does feel plasticky, but it is $300, and a lot of people spend more than that on a wheel alone now. I'll drop 1500 on something newer and better, when this thing catches on fire.. until then, what I don't know won't hurt me😂
Best one is Logitech pro wheel. No discussion about it. True force is really a game changer, until other brands come up with something similar it's the Logitech pro wheel al the way
I find it hard who to believe. Some say true force is great and others say it’s absolutely trash. I even see respected reviewer show true force on g pro and it sounded horrible. Nasty rattling sound.
The CSL dd is definitely not the same as the CSL elite and ur also confusing the CSL dd with the clubsport DD+ which is in a higher tier. You also forgot to mention the Gran Turismo DD pro which is a playstation compatible version of the CSL DD.. also you are slightly misrepresenting that Logitech g pro wheel because it's value proposition is terrible when you consider what it costs vs the size of other manufacturers ecosystems they don't even have any tangible plans to release new wheels for that system right now. So although it's nice that you were given one it's not the best option to start out with. Especially considering the pedal and wheel rim options that fanatec give you for the price. Ur a nice guy kireth but I think you missed the mark on this one there's not a lot of reliable info in here.
It is a lot of money to spend in gaming, if there was one system that worked with both consoles and PC it would be great. But to have to purchase essentially two systems to play on Xbox and PlayStation sucks.
Appreciate any feedback from anyone.... I'm on Xbox and my took a shit on me, I have been wanting to get the Moza R3 but they still are not yet available for order.... so I'm fighting between Logitech G923 or Thrushmaster T248... just want outside feedback and knowledge of which is best out of these 2 options.... thanks in advanced!
If I were you I’d wait for the R3 it’s good to get your foot into the door with direct drive and when the time presents itself to upgrade the base to a higher NM then you will already be invested
@danielm7853 I understand that and that's the one i wanted... but they don't even have any release date or information on it and I've been waiting a month longer and I'm tired of using my controller. Thansk for the feedback but I'm just looking for which of the other 2 is the better option so I can get back to playing on a wheel
There's not much of a difference between the two. Thrustmaster is quieter and has the option to add a handbrake and shifter together. Logitech's louder due to being gear driven and can only add the shifter. The only thing I don't like about the t248 is the wheel rim being half plastic and half synthetic.
@@tomtom-iu4zs Its been hard to pick because I just keep seeing like a 50/50 split on them both lol... some say the pedals are better on one over the other, and I have seen some say the same thing about the t248 wheel feel. I play Forza Motorsport alot recently but will eventually get back I to ACC, do I know the "true force" isn't supported on FM.... Hopefully I can get a few more opinions, but I appreciate your feedback and taking time to respond!!
@@LimuDaEmu There's a setting on the thrustmaster that's like the true force on logitech. My friend has both wheels and can't tell the difference in feedback on gran turismo. If you're on console and not interested in adding a handbrake along with the shifter then it's really just personal preference or whatever one you can get cheaper.

Does the G Pro plug and play with the G29 pedals and shifter?
No it doesn’t unfortunately
It doesn’t but you can use the converter. Sure this guy has reviewed it on channel.
I kinda fancy that Pro now 🤭
And that discount code is handy 🫡
Uhhh you can use the same or get the g pro load cells
@@Kireth Thanks buddy, i think the load cell is a much better option after watching a few videos specifically on that wheel.
Always enjoy your vids sir. I just bought the csl dd because it’s great for the price, I fancied the Logitech’s g pro but couldn’t justify £1200 for a wheel it’s way to much unless you do what u do but for me fanatec win win.
Are you psychic? 😂 I'm in the market for a new wheel, my fanatec mclaren broke the day before you made the video on their customer service skills 😂😂
damn!
@Kireth was having the race of my life too! Started 12th, got up to 2nd, 3 laps to go and the shifters stopped working, had to finish the race stuck in 6th gear ffs 😂😂
Lets go....🎉
Loving your vids so far this year.. you are doing great work.... vid quality is always fire ..
I have only 1 wheel, but love it on ACC and F1! That is the Fanatec Formula V2,5
You can change the wheel on the G290 there's a TH-cam video telling you how
Are there any cheap DD wheelbases that either doesn't come with a "quick release", or where the quick release can be bolted off using a standard 6x70 bolt pattern? I just want a wheelbase that doesn't lock me to their "ecosystem" or where I have to pay a bunch of extra to bolt on a simple rally wheel which I already possess. I don't need a gaming quick release, I have a fia approved one that I can just bolt on if I wanted that. Currently running a t300 with a plastic adapter but I hate the delay, slow momentum, and mushyness that comes with a beltdriven wheel, and it clips a lot more than I'd like.
You can use a wheel without pedals, right?
Nice review video !
Thanks man!!
What are your thoughts on Logitech G pro pedals? I’d like to try a different set but pretty sure you cannot. Thx!
Great wheel!
Hello do you have a video on your wheel setup on Xbox?
Any thoughts on those T3pa Pro pedals in the back?
When you say that the CSL DD is compatihle with PS and XBOX you mean the GT DD PRO (wich is much more expensive then the CSL DD), right? Because on the site sais that the CSL DD is only compatible with PC...
If you put the xbox wheel on the ps Logitech G Pro base it works on everything
one thing u failed to mention was that moza have the proper FIA quick release which has no play unlike the fanatec
Apparently the new new Fanatec quick release is better but it’s about £90-£100 plus
Dumped Fanatec, went with the GPro and couldn’t be more pleased 🙂
What made you leave fanatec?
@@BIGGIEBAG-XL Their horrendous customer service.
So what will be the best wheel to get for my Xbox series x?
Hold out one more week!
Can you use, say a logitech set of pedals with a thrustmaster wheel?
Pretty sure you can’t mix brands. Sure you can on pc thought but I’m not sure if you can mix and match all or some brands.
i havent had problems with my moza r9 v2 with cs wheel but i hard in group and discord that moza service is hit and miss but im not sure i havent had one problem yet. they say if your getting moza get it from a retailer so return and rma are easier
So Mozar3 wheel works on Moza R9,12,16 ???
What’s the best f1 with ps4 compatibility?
Currently rocking the G923 for xbox amd PC.. just waiting for the R3 to go live 😍
If moza releases the Xbox es steering wheel, then you can use any moza base, I would say go for the r5, if not I’m sure the r3 will be nice
What motor base are you using?
I'm stlll using my old Logitech G27 wheel. It's still a very solid wheel.
the G920 and G29 are the same other than supported console
the G923 is noticeablely different but not worth it over a DD wheel
I caught that started from the bottom the bottom now your there 😂😂😂😂. This helped me so much. Im a new racer, and ive been finishing top 5 in ACC lately, but i feel I need new wheel bundle as im using TM TMX (I know its old, but it was givem to me. Couldnt affor a wheel with 3 kids amd school!). Im doing good with the TMX. Is it worth spending 600 for a new wheel if im decently fast?
Yes i want to know if the r9 or r12 now is xbox capable with ne r3 wheel
I think I’m about to switch from G923 to the T300rs GT.
I want a direct drive, but there’s nothing affordable for PS5
I'd recommend trying out the T300.
I've been using my Thrustmaster TX (T300 for Xbox) for a good while now.
The feel and strenght of the force feedback is a huge improvement to the G920. It's way smoother in delivery too.
Just look out for overheating, it might become an issue.
A better cooling fan resolved the issue for me.
Will you Test the turtle beach veloticyone race?
Best cockpit for the Logitech G Pro?
Personally I use the GT Omega Prime
I'll drop 1500 on something newer and better, when this thing catches on fire.. until then, what I don't know won't hurt me😂
Where speed I don't understand purple dots per hour
Best one is Logitech pro wheel. No discussion about it. True force is really a game changer, until other brands come up with something similar it's the Logitech pro wheel al the way
I find it hard who to believe. Some say true force is great and others say it’s absolutely trash. I even see respected reviewer show true force on g pro and it sounded horrible. Nasty rattling sound.
Logitech Playstation base and Xbox wheel works on all three as well
The CSL dd is definitely not the same as the CSL elite and ur also confusing the CSL dd with the clubsport DD+ which is in a higher tier.
Good information!!
@@Kireth love ya man! Keep it real
Anybody know a good wheel for the crew motorfest? I’m a beginner and just want to cruise and race. Ps5
Logitech G pro is the best for me. I cannot play anymore a sim that doesn't support True force. I'm addicted to the feeling of the true force ❤
Is the Moza R3 even out yet?
Why did you have moza blocked off
McLaren fanatec wheel is amazing! Perfect for everything and even figured out how to drift with it! Would be better on a round wheel but still works!
Solid wheel!
good video, looks like logi pro is best but dang its expensive, wish Moza was out for PS5.
Will podium bmw wheel work on Xbox
Where is the Moza r3? it like doesnt exist when I try to buy it lol
It is a lot of money to spend in gaming, if there was one system that worked with both consoles and PC it would be great. But to have to purchase essentially two systems to play on Xbox and PlayStation sucks.
I just ordered a pro wheel n pedal set..
Please stop bashing fanatec. Ordered DD Pro last monday and this monday i got a mail from DHL, that is on the way. So it’s only one week wait.
Here i am would be happy to have any ps setup. Controller getting old.
Why the blurr??
Logitech PRO Wheel is great at this moment. That's true. But they have to make an ecosystem.
“Hardly anyone knows about the Moza”
Yeah, hardly anyone can see it either 🤔
