Hi I’m new to this whole thing and I’m just a kid so I’m also on a budget, do you think you could make a video on how to make a super easy and on budget tree frog terrarium pls!😊 your an inspiration!
The items he uses are all budget friendly! But if you can’t afford that exact brand you can just use the same type of product but different brand aslong as it’s been proven pet friendly! Also for the branches you can use your own from your back yard but make sure to sanitize them correctly!!! (There are plenty of videos that show how to ❤)
I a gree on all, but just make sure you are collecting branches from safe trees because some trees like the Pine tree, are toxic to reptiles.Good luck. 😊
It helps if you are gonna be having a moist tank yes . Also any expanding foam is non toxic once dried just make sure you aren't putting anything in the tank for a wile untill it's all 100% dried and stuff
Blows my mind when people use the white foam over the black pond and stone, the white stuff looks so ugly when it dries it makes me want to paint over the back and sides of the glass to hide the stuff that shows
Could u wash and sanitize when u clean the enclosure? How would u clean I’m curious to see how long it last make sure u sanitize all reptile enclosures weekly they carry a lot of bacteria
I recently posted a video on how I maintain bioactive enclosures, check it out. They are mostly self cleaning by using isopods and springtails to breakdown decaying matter.
So the substrate will just stick to the foam before it dries?:never saw this process before. I usually see silicone on top of the foam and then substrate
So I did this. However, the substrate didn't stick well 😢 the coco fiber was dry, and it was completely no moisture. I baked it and also let it sit for about a week I did mine in sections so it was forsure wet when I added the substrate .. why !!
@@kNINER-tj6mq so I bought that silicone and I made this beautiful setup that was going to be bioactive for my Brazilian rainbow boa but then I did research and apparently that is GE 2 silicone which toxic for animals and i started panic and i did not want to risk it so I bought aquarium safe silicone instead and I’m gonna redo the whole thing tomorrow
Do you know why my foam shrunk really bad and peeled away from the sides? I’m super confused and sad because I’ve already spent a lot of money on this project
Will the foam expand horizontally if I spay it on a cardboard pipe to make a tree? Or does the cardboard pipe need to be laying down so the foam expands upwards?
In the end you said the coconut powder will not stick if it’s wet at all. What does that mean? How can it stick if it’s not wet? It must be wet if anything you threw at it will glue to the wet expanding foam.
The foam could slide off the bare glass after it cures. That first round of silicone gives the foam somewhere to grab onto the glass so it's secured into the enclosure :)
Hy , Nice vidéo, i make terra to for my dart frog , question ; first time i see no silicone on the back ground , and that do the same job with silicone ? Thanks

amazing
I thought you had to silicone the foam on top to?

Let’s go lee! Looks great
I want to make an enclosure like this just because it looks fun😂
I couldn’t get the coconut fiber to stick to the foam without cutting off the smoothe parts
👍👌🙏 சூப்பர்

Could you put a foam board down first and then put the back ground on that? Just in case you would ever have to remove the background?

Have you done a background with sand and moss ???

What brand is that tank?

Me tooooo
shave the top of the foam so it isnt shiny and silicone on top of that. add the substrate to the wet silicone
Can I use that same silicone to cover up patches that didn’t stick to the foam?
@@Blu312-mp5tj yes but it stinks until way after curing

How long before you add your reptile?
Can you tell as a user of silicone to attach foam if it really makes a difference between using it before or dont using it?
Will the foam expand horizontally if I spay it on a cardboard pipe to make a tree? Or does the cardboard pipe need to be laying down so the foam expands upwards?
It will usually fall, you would have to do it in sections.
Can i put red lava sand??
How long did you wait for this to completely dry?
Where would you buy the egg carton diffuser, Cork bark and other wood from?
Also would this type of wall/background be good for Chinese water dragons???
is the egg crate made out of plastic or metal? i ordered some and they are plastic but look pretty thick compared to yours. Maybe i got the wrong one
It’s plastic. It’s just to add texture for the foam to stick to. It should work.
Did you let the silicone dry for 24 hours or just spread it and then do foam?
You just silicone. I’ve seen him spread it a lot and then you use the foam. The first layer of foam just needs something sticky to adhere to properly
Hi! What brand of silicone are you using? Thank you!
I dont know the name brand but I've seen it at Home depot
You can probably use any pet safe silicone!
Do u need to seal it?
What’s the name of the foam you use?
Can I use that same silicone to cover up patches that didn’t stick to the foam?
ye
What kind of foam do you use after the silicone?
Great stuff pond sealant $16 @ Ace Hardware

Meant the coconuts fiber can’t be wet when putting on top of foam
@@xx.ultraviolet Aha ok. Thx 🙏
Thanks for answering.
Yes, the foam is still wet and expanding but the coco fiber needs to be dry. The foam cures faster when it comes into contact with water.
what happens if u dont add the silicon first
The foam could slide off the bare glass after it cures. That first round of silicone gives the foam somewhere to grab onto the glass so it's secured into the enclosure :)
The foam won’t stick very well and won’t last long!
I never do it first never have probs
@@wander-2would the foam stick to a foam sheet?
Do you need to wait for the silicon to dry before spraying the foam?
also wondering this
he said the sillicon helps the foam to stick so i assume no
Nope! Just put the foam right after the silicone!
What is this even for? A fish tank?
Probably a crested gecko
It is for a reptile/amphibian enclosure!!
Happy new year 🎉

@@smarty5902 I’ve done it both ways with success. The silicone just adds more texture for the foam to stick to.
Thank , i will try next time .👍
