- Inspired by eerie UK folklore, The Lantern Man tells the chilling tale of a mysterious figure who haunts the desolate marshes. Legend says the Lantern Man uses a glowing light and a haunting whistle to lure lost travelers deeper into the darkness. Those who follow his eerie call are never seen again, their souls believed to be trapped for eternity. This short film delves into the unsettling presence of this creature, combining psychological horror with the supernatural.

I love the subtle use of light.
@@midnightroadstudios thank you, much appreciated. It was a hard one to shoot this, shot everything in one night so the lighting isn’t the best I could do but glad you enjoyed 🙏

OOf, When are we seeing more?! Loved it!!!!
Thanks for watching, really appreciate you taking the time. This is for a competition so potentially longer version coming soon 😁
👌
Thank you bro 😎
I liked it but the rule of the competition says no vfx right? @1:38 I see a vfx shot!
@@fairplayguys it’s a practical shot, as I used a projector onto the ceiling. I believe he said vfx in terms of creating digital worlds, backgrounds and characters, which is something I don’t know how to do. Projections were used all the way back in the 50s and 60s the likes of Alfred Hitchcock for backgrounds etc. so I don’t think this should be an issue as I haven’t digitally created this image and put it into the shot in post, it’s all been done in camera.
Excellent work, I love the atmosphere and mood, the sound and practical effects are amazing and what a fantastic performance by Tim Hudson! All around 👏 👏 👏!
@@TiBMr thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Glad you enjoyed 🙏😎
I HATE The 'Surrealist' Horror! 😡
Yeah I get that too, however we did shoot more of this which would have changed this element slightly but this project was for a competition, so we had to cut things out due to time limit.
Sorry, but this is the time spent in vain!
Thanks for watching, really appreciate you taking the time. Sorry you didn’t enjoy.
