    That equally yolked breakdown at the beginning was goodt. I love this podcast and seeing my generation live for the lord and in their truth unapologetically. More of this please! 🤍

    My dad says to me alllllll the time "It's not men or women, its people" lol and I must say I agree! People are going to do what they want or feel they need to do based on their mindset and circumstances. That applies to everything if you ask me

    I think people mistake "Assignment" for "Purpose". Two completly different things!

  • @valerieeey
    @valerieeey 3 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    Really key point what you mentioned about purpose, it’s more straightforward than we make it to be.There are so many ways that we can live out our purpose. I think we often have it confused with career choices 🤷🏾‍♀️

    Preach Cam! Yes don't apologize for speaking God's word. 🙏🏽 Don't forget husband and wife submit to EachOther and the wife submits to her husband as the head... Cam singing while Victoria is talking had ne laughing lol Its a blessing to marry who God has for you. Cam and Vikky are building for the kingdom of God and y'all compliment eachother. Equally yoked is key this was a good convo.

    Seeing patterns of discipline, consistency and responsibility are the real things to look for when looking if a person is truly worth it. That’s what I have on my “list”. If you see these characteristics in a person, green flag! Things to work on in yourself too. Thanks yall!

    The bible says in Mathew 7:16-20 (tpt) that we can spot people out by their actions because the fruits of their character would be so obvious. Thanks guys for pointing out the importance of seeing the signs though people character. I personally used to have certain character flaws and my family members and friends began to point it out to me when I would ask them about areas of my life that needs improvement. I can attest to the fact that said potential boyfriends at that time probably saw those character flaws and weren't interested in me. I say this to say that I think It so important for us to develop ourselves a lot and also not to settle for potential as cam and Vicky have rightfully mentioned.

    Love the podcast.

  • @thesoulfoodpodcast
    @thesoulfoodpodcast 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Absolutely love your content and I do agree with y’all when you said people choose to settle for what looks like potential rather than what the person they’re with actually has to offer. No one has ever fallen into a trash relationship by accident, ignoring red flags 🚩 is always a choice.
    But for real though, ladies please hear me when I say this- character speaks louder than words! Character defines a man and determines the way he leads his life. "A person with good character chooses to do the right thing because he or she believes it is morally right to do so and when a man possesses good character it is shown through his words and actions-it's not limited to a single value, but the traits are demonstrated in the “good” choices he makes and the “bad” choices he avoids." So, pay attention to the choices and decisions he makes including the way he treats people and not on superficial things like how much money he makes or the car he drives. Thanks family, smashed the like button! 👍🏽

    Great video Cam & Vicky, you guys are funny. Like how you explained our purpose as a men and women and the equally yoked part. Many scriptures God shows us, to glorify Him in our creation role and be fruitful. As we honour and love our spouse or potential spouse the right way we in honoring God. God has to be 1st for both genders so both can walk in unity and after the same purpose like mentioned. Love the involvement of the Word :). Bless

    This was great y’all ! Thank you for this 🤍 I have a question concerning being equally yoked with someone who is Christian? As I date more and more men of faith I see that even though our foundation, the belief of Christ as our savior, is the same there are some other things that differ. Things like church culture beliefs ( sometimes I feel are not rooted in theWord ) comfort in going through seasons of deconstructing our faith, someone who is more traditional vs someone who is not. I guess my question is, as we date people of faith how should we view our differences in the faith? Are they signs that we shouldn’t be together or is it just simply a differences? I be ready to not be with someone lol but sometimes I wonder is it bad for us to be different in our walk or should it be the same ?

    • @everythingiswe
      @everythingiswe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely depends on the situation. Cultural differences can be worked thru but like we said in the podcast, focus on their character and reputation. If their character and reputation includes an attachment to church tradition or beliefs that cause you to clash with them and it doesn’t sit right with you, they might not be tor you. When you’re dating you have a right to not be attracted to certain things! It’s up to you to decide if that’s something that can be worked thru or not

      Hmm might not be for you then. Cam is a pastor 😂 he gon preach 🤷🏽‍♀️ but as Christians everything we do is based on the Bible. Unfortunately culture has taught us to keep our beliefs to ourselves and you don’t need the Bible for everything, but we are actually nothing without God. All of our advice and wisdom is rooted in our knowledge of the Bible, so rather than just giving advise based on what we feel and think is right, we refer back to it, because we actually believe it’s principles to be more true and effective than our feelings 👍🏽

    • @intoddwetrust3361
      @intoddwetrust3361 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@everythingiswe I certainly agree with this notion. The thing is I would never enter a church and tell a pastor not to preach nor would enter a school and tell a teacher not to teach. This specific episode began with a scripture reading, exactly like a sermon and I just didn’t expect it from a podcast. I’ve heard bible references but just didn’t feel like I was being preached to. My intent was not to be critical but I just recently learned he’s an actual pastor. I believed I was listening to a podcast rooted in general relationship advice for the masses but now I understand it’s rooted in Christianity which is perfectly fine and understandable. As I said, it just may not be for me and I wish you both the best and appreciate you for the previous content that I did enjoy. Thanks for responding as well.
