I honestly love these honest conversations and just as an additional point, I think we should also reinforce the fact that 'Consent' still very much applies to marriage. God has created sex for us to enjoy and share within marriage and as you guys mentioned, we shouldn't be selfish with our bodies, nevertheless, your body should not be violated by your spouse and your consent is still necessary. I don’t think your choice to sensor what you take in through your eyes is childish. Like your husband said, it’s wisdom and taking spiritual authority over your body. I don’t think we realize how detrimental or how far back a trigger can send us. We are never too high to be humbled by our flesh. Sometimes people don’t understand the sacrifice that goes into preserving your marriage and maintaining your covenant... and that’s okay, because other people don’t have to be accountable to your covenant. Lastly, I love the discussion around the power of a covenant. I think the church has to do a better job of explaining why the pot is hot and not just the message of “don’t do it.” Pre-marital sex in all forms of exposure is an assault on your marriage bed and that/those previous covenants have to be broken and in some cases continually casted down and rejected! One thing about me is I love Bible and the word was in the podcasts, even without the physical Bible!! Bless you two! ❤️

I always tell youth and single people if you feel like having sex, it's just God's way of telling you that you are a normally functioning human being called to get married at some point and that you should wait. Because those who like the apostle Paul are eunuchs for the Lord will not feel that sexual desire (and they usually are very special people, which is why the catholic church has had so many issues because they have imposed this principle on men who weren't supposed to carry that burden, but I digress...)
