I've been working with this deck for a little under a year. And it's cool to see your interpretations of the cards. I started with the light seers first, but the Muse was calling me! I thought it would be intimidating, but this deck is a vibe!! Great video, and very detailed on the study notes 🫶🏽

Yay ruby I love this deck, I’ve had it since it first came out but I’ve been so intimidated to use it & I remember coming to look for a video to help me and they were all just reviewing and unboxing!! This video is fabulous ❤

I really like this deck and have thought long and hard about what to get my first deck and this is the only deck I see and think this fits for me. Fashion and graphic design is current job and I feel I'm quite a visual person and I just can't get excited about other decks that feel to dark for me or just not modern enough for me to click with. Let see how I get on with this!

I wouldn't be super quick to recommend this as a beginner deck, but if you really connect with this one and you don't feel as much enthusiasm for any other deck, I'd say go for it! I hope this deck study helps you out with some card meanings 💖 I'd love to hear your thoughts once you get it!

@@TarotwithRuby it has already my deck hasn't even arrived yet but this and the online material and meditation music has really helped me I've been into tarot for a years just never found the right deck. I get bored easily so I don't think the original would work for me so much. Will let you know how I get on

Thank you for showing this deck and your view on it. I saw it today in a book store and somehow I am interested in it but also I am a bit hesitant. I will definitely have to think on it a bit more. I also want to ask - do you know the moonchild and starchild tarot ? It has a collage style too and I wonder if you like it. Hbe a great day. Your notebook ist stunning.

i do know the moon child and starchild tarot, but I'm not a fan of those. the muse tarot feels a bit more present and creative than the high vibe energy of those two.

I realise, I had never watched a full walk through of this deck. Even though I like collage decks, the geometric forms heavily features in this deck and the barren landscapes and deserts do not appeal. I prefer natural, rounded shapes and natural landscapes.
I watched your video because I have heard that this deck works well for career/work related questions. And I find Chris Anne’s contemporary take on the tarot highly relevant.
Watching your video, I am surprised to find that I like more cards than I thought. Overall, the deck is visually more attractive than I felt at first glance. But what you say about the guide book raises questions and points to potential disappointment. How does it compare to the light seers?
I followed your desk study descriptions with my little beginners tarot book by Hajo Banzhaf, which I always use as a reference for deck studies. I find your interpretations are quite close to his, but with 21. century updates.
I’m still on the fence about this deck. I’m quite careful about what I buy and watching your recent decluttering video, I know you are considering kissing it goodbye.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! Yes I am now considering letting it go. Mainly because this is one of those 'fantasy self' decks. The Muse Tarot is what I WANT to love and how I WANT to use tarot, but in practicality: I don't... I have learned a lot from doing a deck study with this deck and I am absolutely keeping a copy of my reference sheet for future tarot studies. BUT ultimately it's not a deck that suits my (current) practice. I personally prefer the Light Seer's because that fits better in my practice right now. I hope this helps!

@@TarotwithRuby Thank you so much for explaining your thoughts on it further! This totally helps. I wonder whether it also speaks to my phantasy self and I might not use it much in practice.
I think I’ll keep it on my “maybe” list: decks I’d buy if I ever saw a reasonable second hand offer.

Why is it Awakening instead of Judgement?

    • @TarotwithRuby
      @TarotwithRuby  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Some deck creators choose to rename (some of the) the minor arcana suits or (some of the) the major arcana cards. The creator of the Muse Tarot chose 'Awakening' instead of 'Judgement' because it fit more with the theme of the deck. Awakening can be a keyword (card meaning) of the Judgement card. It's a different way of looking at the Judgement card, where the emphasis is put on a realisation, most likely from within. Where in the Judgement card in the RWS deck, we see an angel calling towards us, which could indicate and event or person guiding us towards that Judgement/Awakening moment.
The Muse Tarot very obviously has a certain theme and vibe to it, which is why the card meanings are depicted in a different way than the original RWS images. It's a re-imagining of sorts. Renaming (some of the) cards is also part of that re-imagining. I hope that makes sense. 😊

I still don't know if I want this to be my first non RWS deck. I feel called to it. But there's some cards I don't like or understand.

    • @TarotwithRuby

I totally understand! I’m at that point with the Muse Tarot that I’m not sure whether I want to declutter it or not. It’s so cool and different and I thought it was great for creativity and manifestation work, but I found myself reaching for the Wandering Star tarot for that instead. I find that one way more user friendly. Good luck with your decision making! 🥰

@@TarotwithRuby Would you recommend that one? I like my RWS for academic study to learn the card's personality more. But I don't get intuitive hits from it. Do you any decks good for intuitive hits?

@@spannycat2yes light seers tarot is rws based and improves intuition too.
