The original cards come from Egypt in pre history. The Ra collective gave them to mankind when they were present on the earth. You can find this in the Law of One. That puts the origin and histocracy of the cards in a new perspective. The suits and numbers were added in Sumeria and Chaldea, again in pre history. They were, as you rightly state, meant for inititate study into personal development. Not divination, as they are generally used now. The Egyptian set is the original 22 and where the art work comes from. The art being very specific to the cards meaning. The general use in Italy in the 1400's is to do with people using them and not being initiates themsleves, therefore not understanding them, so they make games up with them, which is what playing cards are today. The story generally accepted at the begining of your video is the story of playing cards in the West, not the Tarot.

Hidden Tarot Teachings on Shirlest has been a game changer for my tarot journey. I learned details I never knew before, and the clarity it provided is priceless.
I’m a tarot reader and have been reading for others for about 4 years now professionally. However the more I read for other people, the more I feel disconnected from the tarot, and from other people. I believe this was because I was realizing that people are only coming to me to seek what’s outside of themself. They come to me for life changing advice or answers to their problems. And the majority of their problems are issues they could resolve by going within themselves. Therefore, they never really get solved because they are only continuing to seek answers outside themselves. People ask me to read into other people’s lives, or how others feel about them, if their partner is cheating, etc. Which are all valid questions and things to worry about, but it just feels so dark and heavy, because their concern is so focused on their external world and the people and things around them, rather than themselves. This video gives me a new perspective on tarot and how I can shift my readings to be more self reflective. Can you now try to do it without cards? I am blessed to have clear guidance without cards. I like to keep it simple. child like some may say. I've watched some card readers read, and really had to wonder what? who? was answering, as it was not a Higher Source.
Thanks for confirming that it's best used for personal development. I'm a full on reader now, but I wasn't excited about reading for others until I was sure I could add to their lives in a way that supports and leads to transformation. This commercialized version we see on display everywhere does not appeal to me and my priority for evolving. 💛
Same here. There are some readers on TH-cam which do have respect and use the cards in a more spiritual sense. But then you have many who do an hour long political reading, answering 20 to 40 questions in a row, quickly holding up a couple of cards and giving the outcome. And somehow I have noticed that apparently both parties use those readers because they come up with total opposite answers to the same question.
that's up to you. it's not confirmation of anything but it validates your existing beliefs. it can be used as divination, i personally just do not have that skill.

I studied Kabbalistic Tarot for 2 years with a mystery school, using the actual deck not the altered Rider-Waite you’re showing here. Tarot is demonic and deceptive. The secret of the World card gives it away. All is not one. I came to Christ in 2020. I urge you to repent and believe. Chanting these mantras(yin mantras) heal each chakra: Um like "from"(root), Am like "Tom"(sacral/solar plexus), Oom like "room"(heart), Em like "them"(throat), Om like "home"(heart/throat/pineal) and Ngm (humming with tongue on the roof of the mouth/pineal/crown). These mantras build yang in the body: Eem like "team", Im like "him" and Am like "lamb". Chant these mantras a number of times at the corresponding sound frequency for each chakra: 1,2,4,8:256hz(root),144:288hz,34:272hz,33:264hz(sacral),5,20:320hz(solar plexus),88:352hz,21:336hz,89:356hz(heart),3,12:384hz(throat), 7:448hz,13:416hz,(pineal),54:432hz(left brain), 55:440hz(right brain), 60:480hz(crown). Sleep with the head placed east. Take neem(sparingly), cinnamon, turmeric, curcumin, nutmeg, gotu kola, schizandra, fo-ti, garlic, vitamins and minerals. Drink lemon juice, lemon balm, mint herbal teas and kefir. Drink organic caffeinated coffee, tea or cocoa in the morning(take breaks from caffeine as well). Also take n-acetyl cysteine, bromelain and nattokinase(detox). Experiment with resting one different day of the week the same as the sabbath(from sundown to sundown)or every other day sabbath. Worship these:Khepri(east), Ra(south in the northern hemisphere/ north in the southern hemisphere), Atum(west), and Anubis(north in the northern hemisphere/south in the southern hemisphere). I heard the 22 major arcana cards were originally designed as portable versions of stained glass windows, then later they added the suit cards so they could sell them as a game to get around paying tax on them. Very cool video man!

Totally about to go through your videos and binge watch. I started purchasing tarot cards some years back because I have always felt drawn to them. Over the last year, I started reading them and getting familiar using my intuition. I remember feeling a bit intimidated when I decided to step my game up in my journey. They been a great tool, but still I know there is always something more to be learned. Having said that, coming across your channel was no coincidence as I do not believe in coincidence. I would totally be down to take your course. The funny thing is I was just talking to my Daughter about getting more involved with like minded people as my journey has been quite solitary. When I practiced Tarot back in my youth, I often told my friends that Tarot is not merely a form of fortune-telling. It's pages taken from the book of life, spread to learn and ponder about the journey taken and wisdom gained. I stopped practicing Tarot after my students snatched my cards in ~2012. Despite that, this video somehow found its way to my YT home.

Some fellow Christians have called me a devil’s advocate, but after some reflection, I realized I might be more aligned with angelic guidance. My intuition and readings, including tarot card readings and divination, felt unholy, even among churchgoers. This led me to follow my own path. I still believe in Jesus as our Savior and practice my faith independently, guided by my personal beliefs and connection with God. I enjoy playing the cards, creating art, and guiding people with positive messages. While others might judge and gossip, especially during gatherings, I prefer to stay true to myself and avoid the drama. Doing the cards and writing in different ways never made me feel bad; it was the individuals around me who did. I always told them to take my readings as unsolicited advice, as some people take them wholeheartedly. I respect others’ opinions and don’t let these practices control my narrative or beliefs.

Just in time because I'm making a course on psychic readings but I use it more intuitively. I never studied Tarot officially. My readings are doing wonderful things for my clients. But now it's a good thing to actually get the story of Tarot.

I will add that tarot was only regarded as 'playing cards for the rich' in order to avoid being targets of the Spanish inquisition or burned as heretics. Rachel Pollack's seminal book on the tarot is the best read on this topic. She goes deep into all of the esoteric meanings of the system as a whole as well as the cards, and the history of the various symbolism from different traditions (thoth, hermeticism, kabbalah, etc.). I also recommend checking out Vincent Pitucci's channel and his explanation of "conceptual blending" for how tarot works.
I am very interested in going in depth to learning everything regarding tarot, gematria, and the kabbalah. I actually turned away from tarot when i met someone of organized religion who told me all these negative things as a young teen. I love this video. Going from religion to spirituality; I still believe in God; but I do tarot. It has helped me understand a lot about myself and certain dynamics. Heightened my intuition and spiritual discernment. There were prophets in the Bible who did divination and who went to tarot readers or high priestesses.
@williamcody6529 Because Saul was told to wait for specific instruction from a specific person and he got impatient and did what he wanted instead. The Bible was never meant to be read literally. All ancient people and many people still today, convey universal wisdom through allegory and metaphor. Yeshua warned of Pharisees who read scripture literally; they fill the churches today.

I always thought the 3 of cups always looks like a great time, a celebration almost. However, it has represented a funeral for me, a coming together of loved ones. And it also represented police/investigators coming together working on a case. Two very different coming together… I thought that was very interesting.
Thanks for this short intro, for hero’s journey of tarot truly needs as many of explanations as possible. Ra Material speaks great deal about it and where it came from. It was already present in ancient Egypt. It is greatly developed since then but basics ( Major Arcana) and the story of a fool’s journey stays the same. 🙏💜 Oh and Yung has an most interesting view of it, modern psychology can never get better than Yung😉
I was very drawn to this energy here and this is not new to me. It is the most authentic I have come across in this particular reincarnation. There is an energy present when you speak of the cards that is so deep, powerful, beautiful. I resonate with it and feel I know it. I have studied many paths in this and all lifetimes. The tarot cards were developed in FEZ, during gatherings of mystics from all different backgrounds around 900 AD. This was prior to the cards use as game, and served as a graphic method to communicate spiritual concepts, a method which did not depend upon a shared language. The teachings contained within were hidden (occultized) within a card game, in order to protect the teachings. Our playing cards were derived from Tarot, with the elimination of the trump cards (with the exception of the Fool, that appears as the Joker). The pages were eliminated from the Court Card line up, leaving just the knight (jack), queen and king. The Clubs are the wands, the Hearts are the cups, the Spades are the Swords, and the Diamonds are the clubs.

I have to comment BEFORE I watch this…I’m actually supposed to go to my first Rodeo( I know right! LOL) and I just can’t open this can of worms while I have to navigate a current bump in the road BUTTTTTT I had to say before I lose the moment 5:55 …I channel with spirit and draw tarot and other visions I get…It’s a whole thing. Last night I was drawn over and over to the 8 of cups. I kept seeing the retreating figure as a Key hole, as I was drawing the key hole I drew a large key…The image you used on the thumb nail was on the face of the key!!!! And the message was that, totally letting go is the key…there was also a Knight ( in profile, facing r) I ascribed to the sun card as a knight of Karma, the Ace of cups, with the words The price of life is pain, a giant butterfly, a tortoise that is also a sundial and a giant star in profile acting as a shield to the Knight of Karma. I cannot wait to watch this! I don’t have any content up yet but I might just put my doodle up so y’all can see it….after my Rodeo of course. I made it back from the Rodeo…It was very nice to be around people. I’m not a fan of hurting animals but I understand people love their traditions and sports. I have been working for YEARS I sold my 6 bed 4 bath house with a pool and broke up with my abusive husband of almost 40 years…moved into my grown daughter’s garage with no money, to heal our relationship and help with her kids, I left every single butt hole person behind, healed my depression, quit smoking cold turkey 4 years ago, i was a 3 pack a day chain smoker…Tarot helped me, guided me and has revealed my inner love and magic. Well, I guess there’s nothing “hidden” about the esoteric occult phenomenon of the Tarot cards anymore. Im glad I saw this video because I was starting to think that attempting to “unhide” something that is hidden for a very good reason… would have a reverse effect on whoever takes it upon themselves to share a short-cut with the world … unknowingly taking the long trudge backwards in time … all the way to the humble beginning… only to end up lost … and stuck… somewhere in the middle. Absolutely. Yes. I know everything and I have seen everything IN MY LIFE. Every word that goes out from me, whether it is written or spoken, is intended to create an “image” of my perspective. I am THE OWNER of it. If my “image” resembles someone else’s “image” , it is a sign that I am IN ALIGNMENT with a consciousness that is GREATER THAN MY OWN. (A sign that mine is expanding / ascending as part of a collection made up of atleast ONE other) So when I encounter energy that OPPOSES expansion of SOMETHING that I respect and have a personal relationship with, let’s take Tarot, for example…. And I see it contracting inward and away from its outward leading edge, IT PISSES ME OFF! LOL. Yes I know everything, and I can’t wait for you to catch up. SELF DECEPTION and A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE vibrate at a frequency similar to sarcasm and metaphor. I feel like it doesn't mean hidden as in it's a secret only for a special group of people but they help our conscious brain learn the secrets of our unconscious. They are a tool to see what is hidden within our own mind. We have to learn this truth slowly or else it would simply be too much at once and we'd think we were going crazy

It can mean facing the truth of self, self-knowledge, or denying that truth.

The Tarot reminds me of the I-Ching. Both demand respect, affection, prudence and judgment for worthwhile results.
I’m a tarot reader and have been reading for others for about 4 years now professionally. However the more I read for other people, the more I feel disconnected from the tarot, and from other people. I believe this was because I was realizing that people are only coming to me to seek what’s outside of themself. They come to me for life changing advice or answers to their problems. And the majority of their problems are issues they could resolve by going within themselves. Therefore, they never really get solved because they are only continuing to seek answers outside themselves. People ask me to read into other people’s lives, or how others feel about them, if their partner is cheating, etc. Which are all valid questions and things to worry about, but it just feels so dark and heavy, because their concern is so focused on their external world and the people and things around them, rather than themselves. This video gives me a new perspective on tarot and how I can shift my readings to be more self reflective. Please drop the course I want to relearn the tarot so I can be a better tarot reader and support people more wholeheartedly. And thank you for this video. 🙏

I'm a full on reader now, but I wasn't excited about reading for others until I was sure I could add to their lives in a way that supports and leads to transformation. Same here. There are some readers on TH-cam which do have respect and use the cards in a more spiritual sense. But then you have many who do an hour long political reading, answering 20 to 40 questions in a row, quickly holding up a couple of cards and giving the outcome. And somehow I have noticed that apparently both parties use those readers because they come up with total opposite answers to the same question.

Take neem(sparingly), cinnamon, turmeric, curcumin, nutmeg, gotu kola, schizandra, fo-ti, garlic, vitamins and minerals. Drink lemon juice, lemon balm, mint herbal teas and kefir. Drink organic caffeinated coffee, tea or cocoa in the morning(take breaks from caffeine as well). Also take n-acetyl cysteine, bromelain and nattokinase(detox). Experiment with resting one different day of the week the same as the sabbath(from sundown to sundown)or every other day sabbath. Over the last year, I started reading them and getting familiar using my intuition. I remember feeling a bit intimidated when I decided to step my game up in my journey. I still believe in Jesus as our Savior and practice my faith independently, guided by my personal beliefs and connection with God.
I enjoy playing the cards, creating art, and guiding people with positive messages. I will add that tarot was only regarded as 'playing cards for the rich' in order to avoid being targets of the Spanish inquisition or burned as heretics. Rachel Pollack's seminal book on the tarot is the best read on this topic. She goes deep into all of the esoteric meanings of the system as a whole as well as the cards, and the history of the various symbolism from different traditions (thoth, hermeticism, kabbalah, etc.). I also recommend checking out Vincent Pitucci's channel and his explanation of "conceptual blending" for how tarot works.
I am very interested in going in depth to learning everything regarding tarot, gematria, and the kabbalah. I actually turned away from tarot when i met someone of organized religion who told me all these negative things as a young teen. I love this video. Going from religion to spirituality; I still believe in God; but I do tarot. It has helped me understand a lot about myself and certain dynamics. Heightened my intuition and spiritual discernment. There were prophets in the Bible who did divination and who went to tarot readers or high priestesses.

All ancient people and many people still today, convey universal wisdom through allegory and metaphor. Yeshua warned of Pharisees who read scripture literally; they fill the churches today.

I always thought the 3 of cups always looks like a great time, a celebration almost. However, it has represented a funeral for me, a coming together of loved ones. And it also represented police/investigators coming together working on a case. Two very different coming together… I thought that was very interesting.

The tarot cards were developed in FEZ, during gatherings of mystics from all different backgrounds around 900 AD. This was prior to the cards use as game, and served as a graphic method to communicate spiritual concepts, a method which did not depend upon a shared language. The teachings contained within were hidden (occultized) within a card game, in order to protect the teachings. Our playing cards were derived from Tarot, with the elimination of the trump cards (with the exception of the Fool, that appears as the Joker). The pages were eliminated from the Court Card line up, leaving just the knight (jack), queen and king. The Clubs are the wands, the Hearts are the cups, the Spades are the Swords, and the Diamonds are the clubs.

LOL) and I just can’t open this can of worms while I have to navigate a current bump in the road BUTTTTTT I had to say before I lose the moment 5:55 …I channel with spirit and draw tarot and other visions I get…It’s a whole thing. Last night I was drawn over and over to the 8 of cups. I kept seeing the retreating figure as a Key hole, as I was drawing the key hole I drew a large key…The image you used on the thumb nail was on the face of the key!!!! And the message was that, totally letting go is the key…there was also a Knight ( in profile, facing r) I ascribed to the sun card as a knight of Karma, the Ace of cups, with the words The price of life is pain, a giant butterfly, a tortoise that is also a sundial and a giant star in profile acting as a shield to the Knight of Karma. Well, I guess there’s nothing “hidden” about the esoteric occult phenomenon of the Tarot cards anymore. Im glad I saw this video because I was starting to think that attempting to “unhide” something that is hidden for a very good reason… would have a reverse effect on whoever takes it upon themselves to share a short-cut with the world … unknowingly taking the long trudge backwards in time … all the way to the humble beginning… only to end up lost … and stuck… somewhere in the middle.
So blessed, so holy, so beautiful … are the hands that hold the Keys to the Tarot.

Absolutely. Yes. I know everything and I have seen everything IN MY LIFE. Every word that goes out from me, whether it is written or spoken, is intended to create an “image” of my perspective. I am THE OWNER of it. If my “image” resembles someone else’s “image” , it is a sign that I am IN ALIGNMENT with a consciousness that is GREATER THAN MY OWN. (A sign that mine is expanding / ascending as part of a collection made up of atleast ONE other) So when I encounter energy that OPPOSES expansion of SOMETHING that I respect and have a personal relationship with, let’s take Tarot, for example…. And I see it contracting inward and away from its outward leading edge, IT PISSES ME OFF! LOL. Yes I know everything, and I can’t wait for you to catch up. SELF DECEPTION and A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE vibrate at a frequency similar to sarcasm and metaphor. So in order to elicit a REACTION IN SOMEONE who might be on a frequency that I have “experienced in my own life” (a lack of self awareness) , I posted a couple cute little harmless comments and hoped for the best. 😇
@@JCHRISTOPHER808 life still has lessons no matter how much we think we have seen or heard or experienced. Unfortunately it seems you think i was having a crack at you when i was not. Just pointing out even at 98 y.o there are things in live we are yet to see, hear, experience and learn.
You're both interesting in your perspectivs. I believe that we don't know what we don't know until we know.
I feel like it doesn't mean hidden as in it's a secret only for a special group of people but they help our conscious brain learn the secrets of our unconscious. They are a tool to see what is hidden within our own mind. We have to learn this truth slowly or else it would simply be too much at once and we'd think we were going crazy
I absolutely LOVE this! I have been reading tarot for years and as a student of life, I love to gain knowledge and insight. although I so find it interesting that readers tap into the collective, for personal development, you should read for yourself. I find it very helpful on my journey.

Really insightful video. Thanks for taking the time to share this info. My intuition says these weren't originally playing cards but through consumption of the masses perhaps it was used for such reasons. Upon additional research playing cards originated from Egypt, which explains a lot.

This is the best explanation of the tarot I have come across. The mainstream explanation of the lovers as a choice card has never resonated. The coming of two opposites is more logical. I would take your tarot course. Thank you!
Thank you for that! And I couldn’t get into all of the deeper meanings and keep this video shorter. But yes it’s about the marriage of opposites, but it is also about a choice! I will go over this in detail in my Tarot Course - link in the pinned comment. But with this card being placed at Tiferet on the Tree Of Life, it can indicate a fork in the road. It can mean facing the truth of self, self-knowledge, or denying that truth.
