Yes they were a British rock band, but were actually more popular in the United States, before the rest of the world. Highly recommend you checkout many Led Zeppelin songs, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for your reaction.
Be careful, you may be kicked out of Britain for not knowing who Led Zeppelin is! LOL!! Seriously, you just listened to one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Many many more great songs to discover.
You just got introduced to one of the greatest bands ever. All 4 members - the best of the best. And every song they do is different. Keep watching their live performances,,, especially the ones at MSG.
Led Zeppelin is the name of the group. They were formed in 1968 by the guitarist Jimmy Page. The singer is Robert Plant, the bass player and keyboardist is John Paul Jones, and the drummer is John Bonham. They disbanded in 1980 when their drummer, John Bonham died. They ruled the 70s. Led Zeppelin is arguably the best rock band that ever was.
Led Zeppelin was a band. Robert Plant on vocals, John Paul Jones on bass, Jimmy Page on guitar, and John Bonham on drums. They broke up in 1980 when their drummer John Bonham passed away.
"Stairway to Heaven" is a very well known classic by Led Zeppelin you might like. From Wikipedia: "Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The band comprised Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham. With a heavy, guitar-driven sound and drawing from influences including blues and folk music, Led Zeppelin is cited as a progenitor of hard rock and heavy metal".
Never heard of Led Zeppelin, eh? Once you head down the deep rabbit hole of their music, you'll understand why they're considered by many to be the greatest rock band of all time. This was from their second album (released in late 1969), and I remember buying it at age 11 when it was released. Back in the late 60s/early 70s, Led Zeppelin, Deep purple, and Black Sabbath (all British bands) made up what was often called the "Holy Trinity" of rock". There are sooo many great tracks to suggest, but if you'd like to check out something more bluesy you may want to do "Since I've Been Loving You".
First let me say I'm glad you are listening to Led Zeppelin. Second I'm always floored when people from the UK don't know who Led Zeppelin is. Third you thought it was a person's name so this also means you don't know what a zeppelin is. Just teasing you all. ;) The things they don't teach you in school. fourth do you know who the Rolling Stones, Who, Queen, Beatles, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, are? The list goes on and on for British rock bands. There is so much good music to listen to. Enjoy the ride.
Well I would like to agree, but perhaps the Beatles could argue they caused more music to progress than Led Zeppelin did. Hard to argue either way, but context is helpful. If we are saying progressive rock, then yes, they are at or near the top with Rush, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and YES. It is a fun debate.
@@HRConsultant_JeffI love The Beatles but they were not a rock band. Led Zeppelin had greater diversity and superior musicians so as far as I'm concerned they're the greatest and most influential.
John Bonham, the drummer, was one of the most influential rock drummers of all time. The Bonham Triplet is a standard that most rock drummers study and use. A triplet is three notes or strikes in this case on one beat. John would do two witb his hands and one on the kick bass. Look it up on TH-cam for examples.

Arguably the BEST Rock Band of all time. Formed in the U K in 1968 by Jimmy Page (maybe the best guitar player of all time) with Robert Plant on vocals, John Paul Jones who played bass all Keys and any other instrument needed and John Bonham the BEST drummer of all time. The band broke up after Bonham died in 1980 at the age of 32. Not a bad song or album by them. They do rock, blues and acoustic like nobody else. "Good Times Bad Times" is their first song on their first album and should be the start of your Zeppelin Journey. I have seen them several times in the 70's and they were great LIVE, always ad-libbing and changing things. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, all from the U K, are considered the pioneers of Metal Rock. I hope you continue with this journey.

Jimmy Page on guitar was in the band The Yardbirds as they fell apart. He recruited John Paul Jones on Bass, Robert Plant on vocals, and John Bonham on drums. There's an album out called "An Introduction to Led Zeppelin", which has 10 or so songs, all of which are amazing. Not all their stuff is "shouty". "Over the Hills and Far Away" is on the quiet(er) side. "Kashmir" is sort of out in the middle of nowhere when it comes to style. One of their later hits was "Fool in the Rain", definitely a lot less abrasive. And an instrumental of theirs I really like is "Bron-Yr-Aur".
I'm surprised you never heard of Led Zeppelin. They were from your neck of woods and during their tenure were considered one of the best ever hard rock groups ever. Back in the days, I was a teenager enjoying the living heck out of these guys. Every song was a please, every note something new. They had so much talent, it is hard to believe they got together.

Story that I heard was that when suggesting names, "The New Yardbirds" was proposed. The response was that it would go over like a lead zeppelin.... who knows what's true, though
The name came about during a recording/jam session some months earlier with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Jeff Beck, Nicky Hopkins, John Entwistle & Keith Moon. It was suggested the group should go on the road to which Keith Moon said it would go down like a lead balloon. I believe it was John Entwistle who then said, yeah like a lead zeppelin. Page filed the name away for future use. Later when Zeppelin finally formed, Page & Peter Grant (Zep manager) changed the word lead to led to avoid any mispronunciation plus it sounded more hard hitting. Incidentally, the song Becks Bolero which I believe was penned by Page was recorded at this session, it appeared on the Jeff Beck album Truth.
The band has sold 300 million records. One of the best of all time. Their name came from a member of The Who saying they would go down like a lead zeppelin.
Go on Robert Plant! Now this clip makes me want to hear the song again at complete volume (just don't do this at home, lol🤣) Loving all the effects, especially the "pre echo"!

You're now listening to the greatest rock band ever. They dominated the 70s music scene selling out huge stadiums all over the world. Only four of them but they're the four greatest musicians who came together because of the guitarist Jimmy Page who formed the band to break the mould and introduce a new heavy rock sound. Their albums are the biggest selling ever next to the Beatles. All of the instruments you hear on their songs are played by the four members. Many many of their songs are iconic masterpieces still being sampled today. Pick any of their songs from their seven albums and you'll be amazed. Best albums are the first 5 though. I've been listening to them for 50 years and I still get chills from their sublime music.
One of the best concerts I ever attended (1975 Physical Graffiti tour). The second greatest band from England (love my Beatles). It always makes me laugh to see the band shaking all over the stage while John Paul Jones (the bass player) just kind of stood there and laid down the beat. I think he may have seen John Entwhistle of The Who a few times and took his cue from him.
James and Millie have SOOOO many songs that they need to hear, but maybe when they get another 25+ years of age, they might have heard part of the thousands of songs I have heard so far, lol. And the remark they made about Led Zeppelin being a guy (before they found out it's the name of a band) reminds me of the one scene in "Armageddon" where "Oscar" (Owen Wilson) mentions the one scientist not knowing about who Jethro Tull is, lol. 🤣

Love your music channel! I love seeing young people curious about music before their time.
You're now listening to the greatest rock band ever. They dominated the 70s music scene selling out huge stadiums all over the world. Only four of them but they're the four greatest musicians who came together because of the guitarist Jimmy Page who formed the band to
break the mould and introduce a new heavy rock sound.
More Led❤❤❤
I love the rock/blues fusion. Robert Plant's vocal range is crazy. British band that is one of faves of all time. My fave tune is Immigrant Song.
Y'all gonna lose your UK citizenship if Parliament finds this video 🤣
🎧 💓 🎶
James and Millie have SOOOO many songs that they need to hear, but maybe when they get another 25+ years of age, they might have heard part of the thousands of songs I have heard so far, lol. And the remark they made about Led Zeppelin being a guy (before they found out it's the name of a band) reminds me of the one scene in "Armageddon" where "Oscar" (Owen Wilson) mentions the one scientist not knowing about who Jethro Tull is, lol. 🤣
My mom thought Pink Floyd was a guy.
Cant believe these 2 don't know Zeppelin😢😢😢😢😢😮😮😮😮😮
@The_Beesleys_Music Millie and James, now equipped with headphones *please* treat yourselves with old, too often played "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. You will finally understand why that song/video has almost 2 billion views! Loving your reaction to Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love'!! Thank you 🙂
"Weird pause." This was for listening. Music was often more complex in the 70s. That's a gooood thing.
This is a HUGE rabbit hole to go down. You can get a few months worth of content here. I suggest When the Levee Breaks or Stairway to Heaven for your next choice.
FYI, probably the single most talented "group" of musicians ever to play at the same time in one band; top 5 lead singer, top 2 drummer, top 10 lead guitar player, etc; all in the same group.
I first heard this at age 12. I'm 68 now and still love this. 😎
You guys have really let the genie out of the bottle by introducing Zeppelin to your channel.
🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸Bought Zep2 album when I was 17 in 69 saw them in concert 71 @ LA Forum 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
I think you guys need to ask your parents about LED Zeppelin and what this song is about 😅😂
Well, can't beliwve you haven't heard of them but glad you found Led Zepplin. There are many good songs from them.
It's not maracas. It's the drum symbols with a special metal drumstick. Led Zeppelin is the band, not the person.
Never heard of Led Zeppelin - yep, I’m old as F 😂! Welcome to the rabbit hole !!!
Try their song, Since I've been loving you.
Their most famous song would probably be Stairway to Heaven, which is probably one of the most famous rock songs there is. You should react to that one too.
I was a teenager during the Golden Age - may the 60s and 70s live forever in Classic Rock . . .
I've been watching all your videos on your new music channel. I don't tell you what. So far, you. They are really good selection for your beginning of your new channel. Everyone is a banner so far. You make good choices.
Was the Biggest Band in the World, is really why the Beatles hung it up,
Their music does have plenty of heavy rock but many genres and many kinds of vibes. Greatest rock band ever. Keep going!
They have the distinction of having in most polls the number 1 Rock song of all time….” stairway to Heaven.”
Led Zeppelin is a band from England. They only had one singer, who is Robert Plant. They were huge in the 70's.
Madison Square Garden live 1973. Stairway to Heaven, a must hear. The guitar solo is the best.
Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin,Deep Purple the holy triad of rock music🤘
When you're able , go back and listen to the album cut. Alot missing in the vid. The whole album is fire. As they all are.
The midsection of this song is generally referred to as the Freak Out ✌🏻
Led Zeppelin, is the band name. The story I personally heard was they where told that they were bad at playing and any music they put out would go over like a lead Zeppelin 😂
No One today can come close to Zeppelin. Robert Plant is called "The Voice" for a reason.
LOL! You two are priceless! Great reaction video!!!
