How so? But there is nothing idolatrous about the life, death and resurrection of Christ! In fact, it's the basis for the gospel message! More people will attend these services than any other. What a great opportunity to preach the gospel!
Well, this depends on what one thinks on Christmas and Easter. And it's interesting because when one says "Christmas", Jesus is implied in the name but our focus is less about His birth in the world, and more about cooking and spending money on gifts. Whereas the name "Easter" evokes pagan thoughts, yet believers are hard down focused on Jesus death on the cross and what He did for us. This said, I believe we should follow Jesus' teaching concerning helping a brother or sister remove the spec out of their eyes.
@@ryanmoss1690 Easter is only the adopted English name. The name in every other language is "Pescha" or "Paques" or "Pasqua," meaning Passover; or its something like "复活节," which means Resurrection Festival. And even the fact that Easter comes from the word "Ēostre-monath" is meaningless. It's like saying going to Church on Thursday is evil because it's "Thor's Day." Don't turn the holiest day in all creation into a cause for sin for your brothers and sisters in Christ.

I remember years ago I wore a cross necklace. A Christian friend pointed out that it was idolatry. I was horrified and disgusted and immediately got rid of the thing. That was around the same time Yahuah opened my eyes to the never changing truth of His Word, specifically concerning the Sabbath which I had begun being so blessed by keeping. We have been so deceived by Satan on so many levels. HalleluYah He is waking us up to worship Him in spirit and truth according to His Word and not the false teachings and traditions of men, which so many of us got sucked into because we listened to the men at the pulpit rather than our Father’s instructions. Excellent teaching, as always. Shabbat shalom.
@@LouLou-Austhere is no cross or star of David in scripture but the star of Remphan, Sis you are wearing the symbols of other demi gods 😢 please read scripture, repent to Yahuah and lay down your idols 🙏
@@SelenabatYahuah7 I am rather irritated that you have chosen to judge me, assume I do not know my scripture and call me to repentance. I will however, uphold the fruits of the spirit in my reply to you. A star in it's self is not evil nor an idol, until a person chosen to bow down, worship and uphold it as one. The Star of David is not the Star of Repham, the star was just a star, before the believers in Molech began to worship it-That is when it became an idol/demigod! I do not worship the Cross or Star. It is not the item, it is the ACT OF WORSHIP that causes it to be an idol!! I do not worship a star or cross, It is a reminder and a symbol to others as to what my faith is and I pray that the answers I give when ask on them lead people to Yeshua. Are all goats evil, an idol, a demi god because some such as the pagans choose to worship them? Or are they good for milk, for wool, for meat? The Star of David today, comes from the Pomegranate which was sewn into the priestly robes-It is actually a symbol Yahweh wanted us to recognize! Look at the top of a pomegranate and see its leaves-what shape is that? What was embroidered onto the Priestly robes?? With all the evil in the world, a person being brave enough to use these as a way of ministering really needs to be your least concern. These are the things the Pharisees concerned themselves over, and what did Yeshua say to them?
@@LouLou-Aus Shabbat Shalom, LouLou. Do you use it to open people’s eyes to the truth of Israel (true Israel, the descendants of Ya’acob, and how gentiles can be grafted into the covenant of promise with Yah’s chosen people through Yeshua)? Rather than a man created symbol, it might be more appropriate and obedient to wear your tzitzits (Numbers 15:38-40) and allow them to be your reminder of His Torah (their purpose), as well as an outward sign that you are walking in His ways and not the world’s. They would be a conversation starter rooted in His Word, if you need an external visual cue to start a conversation about Him. It is always best to follow what He commands rather than what man creates. Since Yeshua is the Word made flesh, anything that directs people to Torah will point to Him who came to perfectly walk out and teach Torah so we might follow Him and do the same, and to die that we might have remission of sin (which is transgression of the Torah).

God commands the Ark to be covered with golden images, and religious imagery was literally graven onto the walls of the Temple under Solomon (1 Kings 6). Religious Images are not idolatry unless they are for foreign gods.
I am ever in awe of His creation, be it animal, bird, flower, sunrise, sunset, raging sea, night sky, etc. What possible need of idols could there be with all the wonders of His hand He surrounds and blesses us with? Job 12:7-10 “But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you; And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you. “Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you; And let the fish of the sea declare to you. “Who among all these does not know That the hand of the Lord has done this, In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Good to see you tackling this. I think many are confused though when it says that he is the image of the invisible, we must keep in mind that he is invisible, and he just represents lolin and is not Elohim himself seeing that is the first born of all creation, meaning he's a part of creation, he's the firstborn of all creation to rise from the dead to enter in that new kingdom and become deified when he was resurrected and given a new body. But prior to that he was not the first born of all creation.
The command is to not make a graven image THAT YOU BOW DOWN TO. Yah did not say we couldn't make an image; in fact He commanded images to be graven into the temple. The menorah is a graven image made like an almond branch that men were to make. Pomegranates were graven or fashioned to adorn the columns of the temple and even to be sewn on the priest's robe; all made by men. So making graven images are not the sin. The bowing down to them IS. Yah had Israel set up images as reminders. Rocks piled up, a snake on a pole, a thread of blue in a tassel, the cover of the mercy seat, etc. While men had to fashion these things for decor, for reminders and for replicas of what is in heaven, they were not to bow down to them. Once again, it is the bowing down that is the problem or giving a tangible object (even a crucifix) some kind of power that it does not have. One of the most interesting symbols in all of scripture both in Genesis and in Revelation is the tree. Yah used that symbol to represent life with its fruit bearing witness of the same. To understand this and even to draw a tree, fashion a fake tree, use a real tree for that same reminder is not sin. In fact, Yah would never have used a tree for a symbol if it was sin to do so. Jeremiah didn't invent this as a new sin from a new command of his own. He explained that a tree is used to make an idol that people consider to have power and therefore, they worship/bow down to it like it is a god. This is the sin. The whole problem with Hebrew Roots, is the inability to discern. Yes, Torah is to be obeyed and returning to remember the Sabbath command and food laws is extremely important. But HR is false on its face. It is dressing up another clergy/laity format, with tzit tzit, setting brother above brother. It is getting people to follow along in Jeroboam's sin because this clergy/laity system is in place that rejects accountability/examination. It is no different than what the pharisees were doing to others. As far as celebrating ANY blessing of Yah, especially the one blessing where He placed Himself in the body of a newborn, is promoted in scripture in Ecclesiastes and prophesied by the heavenly hosts as we read in Luke. If HR cannot discern this, it is because they continue to follow man and not Yah, and therefore "blind" as Deut 28:28 says of those who disobey. All those who ignored this blessing of a celebration of His Son's birth in 2BC had their own infant sons ignored by Him in a slaughter decree. Think about that. Yah had expectations when He appeared to men at Sinai and He had expectations when He appeared to men at Bethlehem. Ignoring Him is problematic and deadly. And when prophesied that the joy that night would be to the whole world henceforth, who are you guys to prohibit people from that celebration by your false teaching? For goodness sake, the heavens had their own celebration that everyone recognized for this particular event. Has that ever happened before? Has it happened since? NO! You guys need to stop with adding your own commands and refusing to discern. A pagan cannot defile any of Yah's creation for us because of something they did in their false worship. Homosexuals cannot paganize the rainbow just like pagan cultures cannot paganize trees or stars or days on the calendar. They do not have that power. They can misuse Yah's creation themselves, bow down to the Sun or worship the stars but that does not change the fact that Yah said the Sun and stars belong to Him and they speak a message that man is to hear and recognize. IOW, they are not idols nor would they be idols if we drew a picture of them or had them in a painting. The very definition of an "idol" is not the thing itself but it's whether someone gives that thing power, therefore, worship.
God commanded those things to be made. There's a huge difference. Many Christians bow and kiss idol in the church they are idols and traditions of men not God, huge difference.
@@Swordoftruth289 God doesn't command man to sin. So obviously, making images that are not bowed down to and worshipped is not sin. Not sure you read my whole comment.
@bmjjjja @bmjjjja you don't even know what you're talking about. Did you even watch the video? You're right, God doesn't command man to sin. If it's a command from God, then It's not sin. Or he wouldn't be the "Sovereign" Lord. The point of not making idols or images is because they are not godly. Also, the early Israelites did not worship the images on or in the temple. They spiritually prayed to God. Not to forget all the other paganism and idolatry that was going on among the Israelites as in worship of other Gods. The bible made it pretty clear that idolatry was a pretty big problem then and still is. Just realize you are playing mental gymnastics with gods commandments.
@@Swordoftruth289 No I'm not. I'm discerning the true meaning. Is an artist that paints a pastoral scene of calves grazing in a field of trees simply nodding in agreement with the pagan worship of calves and trees because he painted their images? That's absurd. Is the bronze Remington statue of a bull on my entry table linking arms with those who built the golden calf? That's just ridiculous. Yet those are all images graven by man. And I showed you in scripture how Yah would not have instructed man to make graven images for decor or for reminders if the 2nd commandment stopped at that point and they were breaking it. But it doesn't stop there; it goes on to say that those images are not to be made AND BOWED DOWN TO. I guess those of you who follow HR instead of Yah will remain blind until you give up your man-centered worship. You will never do that while allowing a nicolaitan system that Yah DEMANDS repentance of. Either Yah said, "an idol is nothing" and "the earth is Yehovah's and the fullness thereof" and it's accepted or it's not. 119 doesn't get to come along and say it's not true. They simply reveal their lack of discerning that everything belongs to Yah. What you are doing with it, is or can be the sin. Just like shaving the sides of your head. Commanded for reasons scripture says but forbidden as a pagan death ritual. Motive matters. Same with eating the meat sold in the meat market (that had probably been in a pagan slaughter ritual). Go ahead and eat it bc the prayer chanted in a pagan ritual cannot undo Yah's words of declaring that animal clean "for food." In fact, eat it in good conscience and pity those whose minds are WEAK. Those who think eating that meat is partaking with them in a pagan ceremony, don't eat it. But that doesn't mean you never eat a steak again. It means you CORRECT, REBUKE AND TEACH WEAK PEOPLE TO DISCERN!
@bmjjjja What you do and have in your house is between you and God. But what's in a church A house of worship is not kosher. It is heretical to doctrine. It's funny how you brought up bowing to idols when that's exactly what Rc od OC do with shrines and images. Can draw the conclusions that since those things are in a house of worship, it's blaspheme to God law and abomination, as the scripture says? There's no reason for them, God did not command it. That's the point it doesn't matter what you call it it still the same. 3 times now, you have interjected your own opinion on what the scripture says. I see no justification for idols and images in churches. Especially not kissing and bowing.
11:00 the biblical temple has images all over it, representing Eden and it also has images of angels , the ark itself is a representation of the presence of God, the image of God in the temple is Man serving as priest (just as Adam is designed to function)
In Exodus Chapter 25, the Lord commanded that the Ark of the Covenant, which held the tablets of the law, to be topped by- statues of two cherubim. The statues were to be made of gold, and the wings of the cherubim were to be held over the Ark, as though protecting it. So, in Exodus Chapter 20, the Lord is saying "Don't make statues", and in Chapter 25, the Lord says "Make statues." The key to this contradiction is the purpose behind the making of the statues. In Chap.20, statues used in idol worship were condemned; in Chapter 25, statues used for a proper religious purpose were praised. In the proper way, a religious statue or icon should remind us of the one true God and lead us to worship and adore Him. To adore God, we give the highest honor and worship to Him alone. A cross reminds us of the suffering that Our dear Lord went through for us to save us. This reminder increases our love for Him and a desire to worship Him. A statue of Christ Jesus should be looked upon as a reminder of my Savior, my Redeemer, and lead me in humble thanksgiving for all He has done and is doing for me in my daily life; to praise and glorify Him because I owe everything to Him. And yes, even a statue of Mary, should lead us to worship God alone, because She is His Mother - the one who gave birth to Our Savior and Redeemer. We can thank Her for Her "yes" to God- "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to Thy word." Her humility reminds us to adore the one true God. When a person kneels before a statue, that doesn't mean he's praying to the statue. A person can kneel with a Bible in his hand, but no one thinks he's praying to a book. Statues, etc. are used to recall to mind the person or thing depicted. Just like it's a reminder to a person of one's family by looking at a photograph or picture he has on his cellphone, so it's a reminder of the one true God to a person by looking at representations of God. These representations increase our love for God and increase the desire in our hearts to worship and adore God- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen!
Before you deal with statues and images… don’t we first have to deal with the fact that we state that God became flesh… that in itself is idolatry 🤨 After all one of the main statements of faith of Judaism is that God has no corporeality. As has been said in the Orthodox Church, the fact that we have images of Jesus in our churches is an affirmation that God became man.
So, you don’t believe the scriptures that Christ was the express image of God? Christ even called himself “I Am”… for which they wanted to stone him for.
@@soundlycreativeI'm saying that in Judaism and in scriptures God is not man... So before we address idols and statues... That paradox needs to be addressed first...
I did a sermon at my local SDA church on this subject a few years ago called "The Image of the Invisible God", covering a lot of the same material discussed in this video. But we have a long habit of using paintings of Jesus/Yeshua as illustrations in our evangelistic efforts and habits are hard to break.😢
The 2nd commandment was BEFORE the revelation of Jesus Christ. Jesus said " he who has seen me jas seen the Father. So, the 2nd commandment is REQUIRED for following GOD prior to the Incarnation of our Lord. ....just as we do not worship on the Sabbath. The Incarnation CHANGED the situation. The man in this video seems to not understand that he denies the Incarnation with his position. The Icon of Theotokos shows Mary presenting Jesus. This IS the visual representation of the Biblical message "The Word, Made flesh and dwelt amongst us" That ancient Icon, written by Saint Luke himself, still proclaims the Incarnation to this day.
Recently I had a powerful feeling reading Deuteronomy 16: 21-22. "You shall not plant for yourself any tree, as a wooden image, near the altar which you build for yourself to the LORD your God. You shall not set up a sacred pillar, which the LORD your God hates.” This instantly brought me to the idea that we as Christian’s use the cross as a physical representation of God in the flesh when we have it in our church. I would consider this addition at least as a form of a question in this teaching. Be blessed!
Jeremiah 10:2-5 Thus said the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven ; for the nations are dismayed at them. For the customs of the peoples are vain ; for. One cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold ; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright like the palm tree ,but speak not ; they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
@@danaleanne38 Sacred pillars were for Canaanite gods, and trees were worshipped as gods. The ban God places is not on images themselves, otherwise God would contradict Himself when He said to build Golden Cherubim (Exodus 25), the Bronze Serpent (Numbers 21), and physically graven images on the walls of His Temple (1 Kings 6). What God bans is worshipping foreign gods, and constructing idols to them. On the contrary, God commands use of sacred imagery in the Bible for His own glory.
Do not bow, worship, pray or offer sacrifices to images or idols. Daniel was asked to stop praying to God and only bow (not praise, worship or anything else) to the statue built to an earthly king as a trap to have him killed and he refused as it was against Gods laws.
It's scary how many people here really think their salvation is in danger if they own a cross. Way too many biblical literalists in the world and not enough people who understand context.
They don’t even get to this position by literalism. Iconiclasm was a response to Islamic aggression. Before that there had not been any controversy over icons because they are not the boot worship. There were even “graven images” on the Arc of the Covenant.
There were cherubs on the ark cause God COMMANDED to have them on there. God never once or even Jesus or Paul said "God has told me you need to create art and images of passed on followers and you decide who gets the saint status by their works and If they get a spot of reverence in the church, and you may ask them to interceed for you instead of Jesus" God never commanded us to do these things. But I guess people who practice this wanna do their own thing and not give a crap if God commanded them to do somthing or not. It's all about "Tradition"

I don't disagree with this guy's conclusion about "imageless worship," though the psychological need to "see God" is both understandable and necessary for most people. God's "invisibility problem" is what started all theology, which itself can become a kind of idol worship.

My second cousin did stained glass work for several churches in his lifetime. This is a subject I have often wondered about. I am uncomfortable with the use of images but believe that worship is not an aphantasia practice either.
I will say I don't have a problem with someone wearing a Cross if they do it as an outward expression of their faith & even as a conversation starter. However, IF you hold it to pray, treat it as a holy object, or think it's somehow necessary for worship & provides a better "connection" to YHWH, then you should STOP wearing it immediately. Keep turn all kinds of things into idols. Cars, boats, motorcycles, "Sports" money, spouse, children, homes, career, you name it.
I wonder why the cross was mentioned as unbiblical, but not the star of David? It seems to me like there's an agenda here to point the finger at Christians but ignore Judaism, which slaps the star of David on everything and sometimes venerates rabbis as if they were saints.
I feel like the paradox really should have been addressed. No carved images, yet x arve cherubs for the Ark of the Covenant. No physical embodiment of God in carved images and yet the Ark has the real presence of God as well as the burning bush, the pillar of fire, the Angel of Yahweh and Yeshua Himself. There’s more nuance than you all mentioned I was hoping it would go more in depth.
Just out of curiosity do you think having the icons in your home for artistic purposes would that be wrong? I do like the style of eastern orthodox style of painting nice , but don’t want to offend God

Good day can you test the shroud of turin? Thank you so much, upon reading the Bible, I know that the LORD is just an average Jew before not that attractive, but a normal human like us.
Mary isn't a deity she is a holy icon, like the ark of the covenant yes the Israelites bow down to the ark of the covenant in honour. Idolatry means believe a statue is a god and you call it a god or offer it sacrifices or offerings or if the statue is a false god but you bow down to it, bowing down to holy icons that represent the true God isn't idolatry. The difference between golden calf and Mary is the Israelites actually called the statue God and they brought the golden calf sacrifices and offerings, on the other hand Mary is honoured like honour your mother and father, or honour like King Charles lll bow down in respect or hello not bow down and worship bow down has 2 different meanings and protestants don't understand the different definitions in of bowing down
God calls us to bow down to him, it's not "saying hello" it's full on worship, showing huge respect. It doesn't matter if the ark had images, God Himself asked for those to be on there. It is Not our place to add on the whole "well they did it so we can do it too!" No there's a huge difference between God explicitly commanding for cherubs on the ark vs churches just doing whatever they want. And plus we don't call our own mothers Queens, like how catholics call Mary the queen of heaven, no matter how hard you twist it, a king or queen title means a ruler. She does not rule heaven with God, God does not share his title as ruler of any place in the heavenly realms. Even in the bible Jesus didn't ask his followers to treat Mary as a special being, even when the women said "blessed be the mother the breast who nursed you" he didnt respond. That does not mean "oh he didn't deny it!! So he does say yes to veneration!! " the church needs to stop adding on and putting words into Jesus's mouth, and over thinking in order to find anything to support what THEY want and not what GOD asks them to do. He had it right in the first place. We need to stop turning to men and their traditions and put God's opinions and thoughts, and commands first.

Our Creator has declared 7 High Holy days to be remembered forever and His weekly Sabbath, not man made traditions that include the fat bearded man in red suit that parents lie to their children about & eggs & bunnies - Messiah was crucified on a tree before the High Holy day (days start at sunset) of Passover, put in the tomb Wednesday afternoon before sunset for 3 days & 3 nights.. rose after sunset Saturday, He was gone before the women came in the dark early Sunday morning. Man changed the weekly Sabbath!
Actually John did write it. Check out inspiringphilosophy and history of earlier church(first century) and earliest of churchfathers who were disciples of the apostles. And calling Jesus God is completely in line with the bible since Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead manifested and God can be contained in physical form. Its just representing Jesus in imagery when often those images are not 100% accurate should be avoided.
@voldibayizitunda2178 have been watching IP for a while, as well as David Wood and sam, etc. I still read the Bible almost every day. I am well informed. Not that IP is wrong, but anybody can string together favorable evidence to support a claim. Ever since I first heard the gospel when I was 12, I always thought of Jesus's as the prodigal son, not God almighty. None of the churches I went to focused on calling Jesus God. The trinity was believed, but it was mainly only used in prayer because it wasn't a theological church, just straight-up scripture and testimony. I always found it odd that people started calling Jesus God or the same as God. When I assumed everyone knew, they were distinguished apart. I get the thought of a triune power structure, but the God the Father is the Sovereign Lord, and the spirit is his word or thought. As that's what logos means. That would be the spirit, and Jesus was full of God's spirit we know in John because when he was baptised by John the Baptist. John said that he was the light because the light of God was in in him and given to him by God. So we see a distinction between the hierarchy. I've done readings on the church fathers, and I don't see them as the authority, and it was till tertullian when we got the name Christians. Actually, it's clear evidence that by 200 ad, we see a complete Romanized version of messianic Judaism on the account of Paul. Most of what we read in the bible today is manipulated translations of the Greek and Aramaic. The bible we read has gone through heavy redactions it worked for centuries, but now, with the internet, it's easy to get a more accurate view of what was originally written. More times than not, the bible refers to Jesus as the son, Jesus himself, always differentiates between him and the Father. In the rare verses that modern Christians use to say he claimed to be God, it is almost always a mistranslation. No wonder when you give man authority and power, they tend to use it to manipulate things into their favor. The one thing they can't hide is the fact that the trinity was so important to understand why it isn't it talked about by Jesus, the deciples, or the Prophets? Tell me, what body of christ does that? How is that biblical? And Protestants follow the same doctrine just deny the papecy. At least there's that. Isaiah was clear the messiah would be a light to the nations.
@@voldibayizitunda2178 Jesus is the EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD. Jesus is not God. If you are not worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth, then you worship an image. Think about it. Pray about it. Do you worship Jesus, or do you worship God? Do you worship he who created heaven and earth and the seas and everything in them, or do you worship Jesus? Do you worship the Father who sent his only begotten Son, who says to you that " The hour cometh and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the Father seeketh such to worship him (John4:23), or do worship Jesus? Do you ever thank the Father in heaven for sending his Son so that we could have everlasting life, for all those who would believe in him, or do you just thank Jesus because you believe that Jesus is God? Do you ever praise our Father in heaven for sending his Son so that we could be reconciled to him, or do you just praise Jesus because you have been taught by the beast that Jesus is God? God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son so that all who would believe in him could have everlasting life. Do you believe that the Son is God? Can an only begotten son be his own father? There is no man on earth who is his own son. There is no man on earth, created in the image of God, who is his own father. That would be strange, would it not? Yet, God, is also his only begotten Son for some reason? The Father has an only begotten Son, and people worship the Son for being the Father who sent him. There is only one God, the Father. He is the LORD. The Lord GOD. The Creator of all things visible and invisible. And God sent his Son to reconcile us to him. That they would know " That I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgement and righteousness in the earth, and they would be my people and I would be their God. And yet, everyone worships Jesus and believes that Jesus is God, and the Father and the Creator , and the Word, and the Son of God at the same time, and they are all being deceived. God gave all power and authority to Jesus Christ and sent him to finish his work. Jesus is the consequence of the word of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God , not God. The image of the beast IS the false Image of Jesus that everyone worships. You are supposed to worship God. And they will all say "But Jesus is God". Exactly. And all whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world will worship the beast and his image. The beast is the religious system that presents a false testimony of Jesus Christ. The False prophet is the little horn who makes war with the saints and prevails against them, who casts down the truth to the ground and practices and prospers, who speaks great things against (meaning, "At or upon the side of ) the most High. Pray to our Father in heaven in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is our mediator, and ask him for understanding in this matter while you can still find him, peradventure that he will give you repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, the truth being, that you have fallen away to a false gospel and believe in another Jesus i.e. you have left your first love. And worship God, not Jesus. Worship God, not an image. Jesus is the express image of God.
The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. Numbers 21
Enjoy your channel but question how you get Yahway from the 4 unpronounceable consonants YHVH? Haven’t you made an idol of a name you invented standing in for the God of scripture in the same way religions have given the invisible God an image for their use? And Yeshuah? Where do you biblically determine calling our Lord that? You have a New Testament, it was written in Greek. The name used is transliterated like Iesus. Does it anywhere tell us that Peter called him yashuah? So why do you? Why not rather call him Immanuel as the Hebrew Old Testament suggests? Haven’t you idolized the modern Hebrew tongue in order to determine these unbiblical names are the ones to use? Why not just call him Joshuah if you’re going to mess with the Holy text, because that sure is closer than Yeshuah. I’m just curious. And if you don’t turn all the other names in scripture to Hebrew, doesn’t that indicate some magical meaning applied to these specific uses?
Hundreds of years before the birth of Christ is Savior, the redemption was Satan. For thousands of years their were stories in redemption! Trust us! In the bible, read chapters in Ezekiel, psalms and in savior!
The man in the video dares to speak the Holy name of The Father as if he knows him PERSONALLY. YET the man in the Video DOES NOT give Honor and Worship to Jesus Christ, to whom has been given all Authority. This video promotes Hertical ways of teaching and thinking.
Strong delusion that they should believe a lie, that they all might be damned who believed not the truth 2thess.2:11,12.they worship also the trinity of the catholic church..sun-day also worship.
God told the Isrealites to create the ark of a the covenant. If only this video was available at the time, maybe they would not have constructed the ark
That false. In the temple of God there were images and the arc was made with two images of cherubims. The diferense from the pagans was that only the prist could enter and he will not worship them. God is not against images, HE is against giving them worship like some Christian denomination do.
@@summerhouse8205 please note that I’m currently not part of any congregation. But each one may defer. What’s common in them is that they follow both Yeshua and the Torah. Many of them (but not all) keep the Jewish traditions from Judaism as well. Some operate indeed like Evangelicals but they’re considered “Messianic” because they mere want to keep their Jewish identity. Messianic Movement is somewhat diverse. A Gentile believer can also be considered Messianic and become a rabbi.
@@summerhouse8205 That’s correct. False religions have always been part of mankind’s history for over 5000 years now. Man commits error. Man can be rebellious even when confronted with truth. We can’t change everyone and God has given us the complete freedom to accept or reject His ways. As with Catholicism, it is a false religion created by the powerful and evil political force of Rome. They essentially mixed their former pagan beliefs with the New Testament, and thus Catholicism was born. Rome has a long history of antisemitism. The primary reason they accepted (or rather sabotaged) the Bible was that it was spreading like wildfire throughout the Roman Empire, threatening the future of their pagan religions which they intended to preserve in some way. In other cases such as the differences within the Messianic Movement, I wouldn’t call that “false religions” because doctrinal (or minor) differences and understandings of the Biblical texts have always been a thing. Two individuals will never agree on everything, ever. That’s been my experience at least. You can always fulfill the Divine purpose with or without a denomination. God is only looking for belief and obedience to His Commandments. At this point, we can only expect everyone to follow a single pattern after the Second Coming of Yeshua. Blessings!
Images and statues are not "idols" in Catholicism. If people say they are idols then their photos and pictures of their family are idols also. The Christian veneration of images is not contrary to the First Commandment, which proscribes idols. Indeed. the honour rendered to an image passes to its prototype , and whoever venerates an image venerates the person portrayed in it. The honour paid to sacred images is a respectful veneration, not the adoration due to God alone. In the Old Testament, God ordained or permitted the making of images that pointed symbolically toward salvation by the incarnate Word. So it was with the bronze serpent, the ark of the covenant, and the cherubim. Religious worship is not directed to images in themselves, considered as mere things, but under their distinctive aspect as images leading us on to God incarnate. The movement toward the image does not terminate in it as image, but tends toward that whose image it is...... Now i know you will not accept this answer because you have been indoctrinated in what you see, not what you understand. I am 100% certain you do not belong to the Church established by Christ in 33 AD, because of what you see as idolatry.
The way you guys take all of this massive information and present it so structured and orderly, as well as articulating it so calmly and clearly, is really a sign of biblical maturity. Awesome video.

So many people are going to be mad when Christmas and Easter get mentioned as idolatry… and I am here for it!!!
How so? But there is nothing idolatrous about the life, death and resurrection of Christ! In fact, it's the basis for the gospel message!
More people will attend these services than any other. What a great opportunity to preach the gospel!
There goes the Nativity Scenes invented by Saint Francis of Assisi.

Great Work my brother!!!

Yes, i have been blessed indeed.
11:00 the biblical temple has images all over it, representing Eden and it also has images of angels , the ark itself is a representation of the presence of God, the image of God in the temple is Man serving as priest (just as Adam is designed to function)
Where is the Ark of the Covenant today?
Thats totally false😂
You saw a counterfeit because thats not described in the Bible
Fascinating!
Before you deal with statues and images… don’t we first have to deal with the fact that we state that God became flesh… that in itself is idolatry 🤨 After all one of the main statements of faith of Judaism is that God has no corporeality.
As has been said in the Orthodox Church, the fact that we have images of Jesus in our churches is an affirmation that God became man.
yes man is created in the IMAGE and LIKENESS of God but they cant address that point
So, you don’t believe the scriptures that Christ was the express image of God? Christ even called himself “I Am”… for which they wanted to stone him for.

This IS the visual representation of the Biblical message "The Word, Made flesh and dwelt amongst us"
That ancient Icon, written by Saint Luke himself, still proclaims the Incarnation to this day.
Outstanding! One question, as a former Christian I still have many of my idols. Should I burn them, throw them away, or give them away
Definitely don’t give them away. I threw out all of mine.
If you give them away, that’s akin to cursing someone else with disobedience. Just toss them. There are blessings for obedience.

Be blessed!
Jeremiah 10:2-5
Thus said the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven ; for the nations are dismayed at them.
What about someone bowing down at a altar in front of a Pastor.

I just started this but i know where its going. The Catholics are gonna get you!!

You said yourself that God can't be contained into a physical form. We don't know who wrote John.
