The 6.1L has an incredible lope tone at idle. It’s such an old school deep throaty tone. How all muscle cars should sound.
@@zoomzoom3839 Dodge needs to bring this engine back with the ZF 8 speed transmission natural aspirated immediately it should’ve never stop production GM and Ford have so many trims of cars with different engines.
All Dodge have is 3 for performance the 6.1l can fit right in between the 5.7L and the 6.4L if I can find out how to attach the 8 speed to that 6.1L that’s a dream build same with a 2015 ZL1 with the 10 speed transmission another dream build.

I miss my Charger! Had shorty headers with full custom true dual 2.5" exhaust with (2) 11" Flowmaster Outlaw Race mufflers and resonator delete and 3.5" quad tips on my 12 Charger R/T. Thing sounded so mean!!

I used to have this car! I loved it. But now I have a Tesla, and the speed on this thing is ridiculous. I miss the charger but don't miss the gas costs.

Buddy one wheel peeled cuz the traction control wasn’t completely off. You gotta drive the car about 20 mph and hold the key like you cranking it again and it’ll shut off all the traction this is for 05-10 years! It’s a totally different beast with the traction control off completely!

True duels have nothing to do with any restrictions in the exhaust system, all it means it that both pipes are independent from eachother all the way from the manifolds back.

@@dakotakelly9371 A true dual/straight pipe means it comes right off of the engine or off of the header. This is true with older muscle cars and older trucks. Regulations say you have to have a converter due to smog control and emissions. People took off the "converter" for the true sound that those larger displacement engines produced i.e off the engine all the way out to the back.

@Mar Stillo Me personally I would never buy a 2015+ Charger, I almost did at one time. But decided, never mind because its too common to see them.
I agree with you the Mopar muscle car community has changed drastically I almost went with a 2014 srt jeep but instead went to Kentucky from Wisconsin and bought a 2008 srt8 super bee charger with 7,400 miles on a true unicorn 🦄 you don’t see them all you see is hellcats scat packs like you said and they look mainly like clown cars I love the old school built very tough and can build it tougher these 2015 motors and up like glass

Great car! Great exhaust mods! Question: Why do some customers go with an H-pipe or X-pipe, and some do not? Don't they make the exhaust flow better, and therefore, produce a bit more horsepower? Looking forward to your answer.
I think they just even out exhaust flow
H pipe gives a deeper sound. X pipe gives more horsepower

*Take it from someone who found out the HARD WAY don't EVER drive one of these cars into water as high as the bottom of your doors even. The air filter housing sits so low & aims directly down to the ground so it sucks water up like a vacuum cleaner into your engine, I totally destroyed an engine. Cost me over 4,000 to put a new motor in my car because of this stupid design.*
