Great vid. Very on point and informative.
I just got a exact pair of those from Declite (CarFantasy) but so dissapointed cause the ones I got fit so terribly with massive gaps everywhere.
I also got error in dash ( yellow light lamp error ) I think its because the big red light ( not the brake one ) wont lit up / work ( everything else works tho but that doesn't help if the big red never goes on and gives me error ).
My rocco is an 09 2.0 TSI.

I like them but a part of me prefers the original more. These look too circular whilst the original has a bit of a sharper curve

I know it's not cheap trust me. The main reason is being LED units. Everything LED related is expensive 😞 but definitely looks good
Any plans for a full headlight upgrade? I know we can't do bulbs but we should be able to do the whole unit

question I drive a scirocco r, but befor I drive a golf gti whit led tail lights and it did not like water so some led lights stopt working,how is it whit this tail lights?

Do those fog lights stay on all the time? And do the reverse white lights work as well? Really helpful video, looking to get some myself now!
The fog one comes on when you turn it on, it gets brighter. Only on drivers one though as it should. Yes the reverse lights work well. It's in a clip on the video.
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I've got the other style ones you can get, the Dectanes, and to get around the fog light always being on, you have to swap the control boxes around. Easy peasy, just unplug all the leads from the control box and re-plug them in on other light.

Hi there. Yes on some models/year they are used as a daylight running lights. Can be changed using VCDS software
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne What coding is necessary to turn of these lights as 'DRL'? I use OBD eleven, maybe there is a predefined coding for it?
Do you know of they're still for sale somewhere in the uk? Theyre out of stock on the website you put in the description and they arent available with dynamic blinkers in the Netherlands. Im searching for them outside of the country now

They stopped selling because of some minor returning issues with the lights and it wasnt worth the money. They responded fast and were nice about it.
The only sites I've found who still sell the same lights are from some Asian countries. A website from Malaysia seems the most trustworthy but much more expensive. And still a huge risk because it has to come from far and there's a language barrier. Probably a whole lot of work for you to get your money back if they are wrong or dont work. Might just go with the standard indicators sadly cause they do sell in Europe

I have the same lights since 3 years. Now the right brake lights went totally off without any error code on the dash. Have you got any idea what can i do or i just have to buy a new pair?
I would take the plug off and check for corrosion or bad contact

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne sure, we will check the plug tomorrow, but started up the car today and the lamp decided to fully work again. So i think (and hope) it will be just a loose plug or wire :D
