Exploring The Forgotten Ponds! Belly Boat Pike Fishing!

- Well i decided to go back to the Forgotten Ponds in search of some pike! This time with the aid of a float tube! It enabled me to get amongst the trees and navigate the maze that is the forgotten ponds. I managed a few fish, but it seemed the pike might of had other things on their minds.

Well after I'd finished filming this video my fears were confirmed when i discovered a group of pike partaking in sexy time. I'm confident that if the pike hadn't of been spawning then i might of been able to get twice as many pike. It seemed as though it was only the not as mature pike feeding. Hopefully next time we can crush it!

Wait until they are done mate then get back out there with the bellyboat. The fish aren't that big but that looked a lot of fun.☺ By the way, I think you should use some shallow running lures and plugs over the weed there. Bag yourself a bonus fish or two lurking under the weed. ☺🎣

Nice Chris, great to explore virgin territory and you obviously had a ball please do another vid. We call those float tubes in Australia but only really use them in the Southern States. In North Queensland and Northern Territory you’d be like a surface lure to a Croc and you’d be buggered paddling back with no legs😂

Great video. I've had a float tube 3 years now n had so many fish from un accessible areas..Great bit of kit. The white Cross brace separater needs to go inside the mesh section. Then clipped in either side 👍
What float tube is that U used any recommendations?

I use a long john style neoprene wetsuit and a pair of neoprene kayak shoes with a set of extra long scuba fins, the difference is night and day, also a good PFD is essential, you can use a small lightweight kayak paddle too, if you prefer, or as back up, a leash is a must for your rod and a Go Pro Floaty is also a good idea, belly boats are great fun in calm weather, stay safe m8 and have fun.

Mate , me and you need to do a session together. I spent all last summer going up and down the Chesterfield canal on a little rib boat and electric engine. Since losing my leg it’s the best way to explore a canal or river. So many good story’s about fishing off that boat. Got a few other venues I want to try it on this summer!! Peto is a good lure 👍also you need to do a runs session at hallcroft. Right laugh on little bite alarms !! Good vid lad 👍.

Glad you managed to revist the 'Forgotten Ponds', I thought you had forgotten about them. Looks like you had also caught the sun in the closing shoot, good interesting session.
Not that you respond to subscribers posts, but what fish are stocked in the ponds, with that many pike it would be a challenge for survival for most other species I would bet.
Good production, only missing the usual 'oosh' as your closing words. Nice work Chris, look forward to you getting back to them again at some point

The white cross bar goes inside tge sleve of the tray and then yiu hook it in its much stronger. I have a floar tube only used it a few times its pretty cool

Definitely more forgotten ponds. I must really go over the Miles of Fields by Me, and Investigate all the pools. There are up to seven pools In just one field I know, that had Massive Perch when I used to fish there years ago, God knows how big they are now. Another has loads of Big Roach and Rudd, And one has Pike up 20 pound and Huge Tench. These are not stocked by the Farmer just years of Eggs bought In by Mallards and Coots and Moorhens that nest In them. The pools are still there I checked on Google Maps. And hopefully the Fish are still In them, Could be some UK Record fish In Them. Great Boat, do more In that, You won't need It here though.

Hi bro love your vids used to fish at mainly match angling on commercial waters but due to an injury to my hands and arms couldn't really compete like your style so think I'm going to be tempted back the multiplier bait caster reels what's tge advantage

Honestly just go pvc.. You will want to do more and heavier stuff and bladders WILL go leaking etc

Nice videos, see a baitcaster reel you use how many yards further would it cast than say like a normal reel? I use 18 diawa sensor line, tryed braid before and it isn't good were it's rocky, so would it cast much further with a reel like yours?

Are these worth buying if you already have a kayak?
Quick question if I may, I have put some 16lb nano braid on my Daiwa bait caster reel, in your opinion would it strong enough for pike fishing ?? Or is it ment for slightly smaller fish like perch/ chubb school bass and the like, it's billed as 3 times stronger than normal line.
Hope you have some idea or input you might be able to help me with.
