Well this is the longest video I've made in a while. Usually I like to keep them to around 10 minuets, but you'll need to set aside some time for this one. I even cut out all the footage of the chub throughout this session too 😂 I was a bit bummed about that first fish, but the rest of the session more than made up for it!

Yo dude, I wish you would concentrate on your fishing instead of going on about how the fish could have gotten hooks in it's mouth.. please don't be judging others.. I've watched your videos for ever.. don't get caught up in being like other windgers. Just saying 😌

I check for hooks everytime I catch a fish. And apart from 1 pike when I was little. I've never found 1. Let. Alone 3 😠. Thank god. You caught it. 👍

Thank you for helping him. As a pike Fisher I find do many lines with hooks with bloody thin mono and big trebles snapped off 😡 absolutely boils by blood !! If you want to fish use the correct equipment or don't fish at all ! Fish care must start with the right equipment on your line 😁 great video as always look forward to your next 👍

See this to me is very British - and lovely. The gentlemanly fishing, the chirp of the birds and peaceful British countryside.
I am in Australia and spent 2 years living london a number of years back, loved the UK. Of late however I have been seeing many videos and news of just how bad the Muslim problem is becoming in the UK, and the great, once standard British way of life seems to be threatened which is really concerning and saddening to bear witness to from here in Australia.
It is great to still see these sort of videos of true Englishman, their respect for the countryside, nature and a very English pastime of sport fishing whilst having utmost respect of the fish. Keep strong England and hold your traditions! ❤

That barbel was actually lucky that you caught it. With all of the expensive equipment available, the one thing that can't be bought is a good knot. The other problem is that barbel seem to be the fashionable target species for most river anglers, so they are heavily pressured on many rivers. One of the reasons that I don't fish for them much these days.
The extremely low water and oxygen levels on the smaller rivers this summer have made me stay away from river fishing. I enjoy autumn and winter chub fishing, but I tend to fish on the heavy side in the warmer months, as most of my local rivers have good barbel populations. I know I will get a lot less bites from chub and miss more of them, but I hate losing fish due to breakages.

I caught a barbel with no less than 8x small hooks in it with light hook lengths! There was so much light line hanging out its gill covers it looked like a rasta. Definitely a maggot lover. It went back a lot lighter😊

Another great video fella, just a thought would you consider maybe making some tutorial videos, your setups are nice and simple but showing how best to tie hooks, make hook lengths, feeder rigs etc would I think get more subscribers and benefit some of us older anglers to maybe do things a bit different. After watching this fishing vlog and a barbel was caught with a mouth full of hooks some had no line attached so poorly tied hooks this I think could be solved by more tutorial videos from persons like yourself who keep their rigs simple many thanks as always.

I love angling, have been an angler for more than 70 years Since last year I also fish with barbless hooks only (better late than never) Maybe I lost a few fish due to that, but I am convinced that fishing barbless is limiting the damage to the fish as it enables the angler to unhook the fish easily. Over here (The Netherlands) commercial fisheries allow barbless hooks only, like in GB. Wish legislation would ban the use of all barbed hooks nationwide.

Great show. The only thing that spoiled it for me was that poxy magpie letting off its evil murdering chatter right at the beginning. I'm a keen angler, and I'm also very handy with a catapult. I don't mean a fishing catapult though. I'm talking about a real catty. A catty that I gear up with a very fast and powerful set of tapered bands, and i shoot 9.5mm steel bearings that fly at 300+ feet per second. There's no sound I like to hear more than the deep thud of a 9.5mm steel bearing impacting on the head of a magpie. (Or straight down its throat, depending on my shooting position). Sorry for the rant, but I couldn't help it bruv. The minute I heard that evil satans spawn screaming over the top of your voice,.....the red mist descended. Like I say, great show and great channel. I watch all your stuff. Tight lines. God bless & be lucky 👌👏👍

Breaks my heart seeing that with fish couldn’t believe what I was seeing ,I usually take bonjela with me , especially if I fish a place that has match fishing on, as the state of the fishes mouths are a disgrace , no lips , gashes just bullied hate it , I usually rub a bit on them , was shown that by a fisheries owner , helps heal the wounds, it’s antiseptic and numbs any discomfort recommend to keep one in your box , but like the landing net buddy , different than the usual one you have been using? Cracking session, the best ❤️

I wonder how many of those commenting about knots still use blood knots. These slip and strangle the line yet loads of youtubers still recommend this knot I believe that was the only cause. Having said that, quite a few youngsters fish that stretch. On another point you hooked the fish in the nose because you struck too soon, though its a balancing act in jungle swims like that. Personally I prefer to sit upstream and draw the fish up and wait for a full blooded bite. That way you will potentially catch more of them as you aren't creating panic in the holding spot.
