Thanks for the playthrough. The sabotage, system error active rocket effect continues to confuse me, even after watching playthroughs and reading the faq on bgg. It’s a pity, since it’s the first adventure.
What a confusing rulebook. I've spent 2 hours with the rules, faq and I am still not sure how to play the first adventure solo. I've played Welcome To a ton and hundreds of other board games. Good luck to anyone with less experience. I hope watching your playthrough will unpuzzle my brain...
One thing that doesn't make sense to me: why does the 'easier' level 1 opponent seemingly start closer to launching the rocket than a level 8? That seems reversed no? Edit: Thinking about it, I presume it's because otherwise the numbers of the higher levels reach the end way too quickly.
Thanks for the walkthrough - I’m struggling a little bit with the rule book and was wondering on the following: 1. Isn’t each space worth 2 points each? I held the cards until the end and Katherine had 70 points - if I cross off 2 spots that is 4 rockets (so not sure which is correct) 2. Based on the other comment I was doing the system error rockets like you. What is the proper way to cross these off?
This video is the right way to do the system errors. The rules are open to interpretation from the book but the official faq answers it. This is correct.
Ok I've re-read the rules and come up with a different conclusion each time. The rule is written poorly. It talks about crossing off the rockets row by row, then has a big bold THEN. However I interpret it to mean after you finished all 31 rockets to reach 150. Then you work on the system errors. The keyword is when it says Finally, you can work on the tiebreaker rockets, which you can only do after you've done all system errors, not in a turn where you had extra rockets. In other words, "Start with the bottom line" "Go up. line by line" "Then cross off system errors" "Finally use any extras to cross off tiebreaker rockets" Just watched Slickerdips however to check and he interpreted it the same as you.
And now looking at the example picture in the rules he has crossed off a system error already, even though he's still working on the 2nd row. So I guess you guys are right. My way isn't outside the rules per se, actually more risky in case of crossing off the 8th error or the game ending before the launch, I'd have a huge amount of system error points to lose. With either interpretation I had to cross off a total of 35 rockets to launch, which I did.
@@SolooperativeGames just to confirm from the official dev faq. You are correct. You can only cross off system errors After crossing off your rockets up to the 150 launch. If you have no system errors you launch there and then otherwise you have to cross off the system errors before launching. Extra rockets crossed off after your errors being the tiebreaker if multiple players launch in the same turn.

Thank you for covering this. Love welcome to series. Which one is your favorite?
I haven't played Welcome To Vegas yet, and just getting into this one. So I'll reserve judgement atm and let you know after this campaign ends.
Didn't you guys actually tie because you forgot to give her the 4 points for completing mission A?
Or do you not give her points for completing missions?

are you sure the rules are right? I thought you only cover the malfunction rockets when you finish a row of rockets and cross out a number.
