You misread the performer scoring chart: The top row of the chart is how many performers you have in a set, the bottom row of the chart is how many points that set scores. You had 5 performers in your first set, so that set was worth 10 points (you scored it as only 5 points). And you forgot to score the 8 points for having visited Riverwalk Shopping & Aquarium twice! So you definitely got out of "barely a work trip" territory. :)
Thanks for the playthrough, there's not a lot of there for this game at the moment. :) I think you missed to score all of your buildings on Decatur (4 instead of 6). The rulebook sadly isn't great in general. For such a small and straightforward game, the rules should've been more clear. Instead there's a lot of back and forth with the rulebook, watching videos, and there are far to many questions on BGG as well, for this kind of game.@@DaniCha
The priority is from top to bottom. So, you might end up using the other circles when you play with larger player counts. The mayor is a module you can add in multiplayer games.

This one doesn’t seem as combo heavy as the others are. The theme is more relatable to me and easier to grasp the gameplay than Motor City in my opinion. Fleet and Three Sisters seem more rewarding to play overall. I did enjoy French Quarter more at 2p than solo.
i think if you like their style of games, you will like this. i really enjoy Motor City and Fleet the Dice Game. those are my favor rites so far. the theme on Motor City is very cool. the designers are from the Motor City and i am from the Motor City, Michigan! so that helps i guess! lol i only played French Quarter one time so ill get a few more games in this coming weekend but i enjoyed it. another game, not from same designer, is Fliptown. its another combo, get this and get that type of game. very fun.

oh, i made that same mistake then. i had 5 performers also and scored 5. my 69 score just went up to 74

i am going to be playing along with your video. question. when do you do the second line? what triggers it?
The second line phase only triggers if the pink Socialize card/die is drafted by either the player or Mayor.
@@DaniCha oh ok, also. on the mayor cards it has 5 circles. you only use the first 2?

I'm curious to see how this compares with their other Xandwrite titles.
