Her pronunciation is very clear, and slow enough to be understandable. As a native Spanish speaker, I would say written Portuguese is about 85% understandable.

Estive recentemente visitando o Sul do país, fiquei surpreso! Ah! Me senti na minha região.

Embora tenhamos desenvolvido nossa própria variação do idioma, ainda restam muitas palavras, nomes e expressões do idioma nativo!

I love the vidéos like this! Almost like a vlog. I can hear different voices and see English and Portuguese subtitles. It is very helpful. Also I am a visual learner, so I like to see the vegetables and the names for example. From what I remember, I think you live in New York? So I know we cannot always see videos like this, right? :(
If anyone has recommendations for anyone that vlogs in Brazil and it is made for English speakers, please let me know ! I just realized this is something I’m missing from my learning experience !

Awesome video Virginia! I am an American living in the interior of SP and all I talk about is the feira and pastel but I have yet to make a video about it. So I shared yours on my FB. Best things about Brasil are the feiras and pastel. And coxhinha. LOL
