Actually, the European MK3 VR6 is a 2,8L with 174hp, the syncro has the same engine as the Corrado with 2,9L and 190hp. MK3 2,8L with FWD is about 1150kg, but a VR6 is originally made for comfort, not racing.

EK9 will beat VR6 in a drag race, but not with a rolling start on the motorway. Once you get up to speed the EK9 really doesn't pull all that much while the much torquey 6cyl will keep pulling for a lot longer. EK9 has never been about top speed or acceleration, everyone who's driven one and who's driven other cars will tell you that in a straight line the EK9 is not very fast at all! But take them on any twisty B road and the 9 will destroy the VR6!

that golf was no where near full throtle, it would beat a standered wrx and tose civics arnt real gd for acceleration or top end copared to a gold vr6 or wrx, how do i know cause iv drivin my mates vr6 and own a slightly modified wrx which my mates vr6 keeps up with and seen the civics do very poorly against both

this civic is a weird one, usually the rear tailgate has a recess where a square number plate is usually there cause this civic model was japan only and they have the square number plate, this civic could well be a normal vti but just painted up in championship white the ek9 civic type r should really beat the vr6 in a drag race as its more of a racer and the vr6 is more of a rep mobile cruiser, before all the hating starts i do own a golf vr6

If you listen you can hear the EK9 driver taking over half a second to shift gears but in gear it is slightly quicker
