Talk about breathing new life into KORN. Ray is just what they need right now. This is the first drummer Ive seen that actually adds to KORNS greatness since Head and David left. I have to see then live.
What's scary about Ray, is that he plays so precise and executes everything, his precision is amazing, he does para-diddles leading with either his left or right hand, it doesnt matter to him, they come out sounding perfect.

I'm into drummers like Steve Smith, Steve Gadd, Simon Phillips, Neil Peart, Dave Weckl, etc. I couldn't recognize a Korn song if I heard it, but this cat is one of the best rock drummers ever. I first learned of him from the DDrum website where they had a video of him posted to endorse their drums...blew me away. In my opinion, the two big dogs right now are Ray and Gavin Harrison.

every drummer has his own qualities....this guy just loves his work as drummer. look at him he feels every hit on his drums through his own body the old drummer was not bad he just did his job and played something amazing but nothing what broke through the most normal drummers of other bands. So both are good!

Just remember, the backbone to everything Ray plays with Korn was created by Dave. Dave helped make the the band sound like they did.. Like no other. When Korn first arrived no one had heard anything like it and a lot of that was down to Dave's playing and unique sound. As good as Ray is, he's not the original.
Not everything. Ray has been on soon to be 4 albums w Korn. So not everything is David's stuff. Plus Ray has put his own splash on the things David did. Ray's on a whole other level.
