I've been saying that for years. (Well at least a year but it's likely it's been more) there's this channel Star or shovelware (I believe he partnered with switch corner for x box and playstation corner but I'm not sure) either way he has this list of all the astronomically low effort games that are just asset demos or preexisting games. (low effort in comparison to actual indies)
nah. Gamestop's game review system is perfect. especially with so many reviews starting with: "This game is incredible! I can't wait for it to come out!"
I bought it yesterday. I enjoyed the anime and the character they decided to go with caught my attention. I mean Clementine in the anime comes across as a despicable heel.
@@nujevad28 definitely. I mean all things considered Clementine was a lesser evil. (Spoily warning) Kinda feel bad for her like yeah she was horrible, yeah she Merced potential best girl but in terms of destruction caused I think ainz has probably topped anything she's done in all her years of "living".
I see this game has normal.boss fights like buff skeleton, hot chick, gothic lolita, armored man bug and a maid. Honestly I do a good Metroidvania but this game feels more like a action platformer with a light exploration and I'm not a fan of those kind. But if this ever hits at a 50% + sale I'd think about getting it.
it's been an amazing game my only pet peeve with it is that the Morning Star you used to Grapple kind of like castlevania's whip where you use it to swing the hit detection on it sometimes is a little bit off like you have to press right to swing cuz you want to go right but then you have to immediately push up and the x button again and it doesn't always workthe way you want it and it can be frustrating in points not a deal breaker but still frustrating other than that an amazing game
I'll admit, I haven't watched Overlord, but I do find adaptations focusing on expanding less important characters fascinating. Like the manga "Pluto" was based on Astro Boy, but it focused on Gesicht, who doesn't do much in the original story. Also, it's probably why Hawkeye and Batman Beyond are some of my favorite superheroes.
Lmao, I had no idea there were Hawkeye fans that's dope. And I think a better comparison for her without spoiling to much would be like calendar man or the Penny plunderer even better Kite Man. Going with her was definitely a safe move it'd be hard to nerf to main cast

Though Hawkeye is actually my favorite Superhero, the thing is, I kind of don't like how incredibly op a lot of superheros are, I like more down to Earth ones like Hawkeye. My second favorite Marvel character is Daredevil btw, since Hawkeye is deaf and Daredevil is blind, I feel more is at stake in their stories. Admittedly, I'm not as huge a DC fan, but I did love the DC animated universe back in the day. Still baffled why nobody wants to use Terry McGinnis at all.
@@YeviCoulson I just looked up some of those characters, I feel like the Marvel equivalent would be the Spider-Man villain, "Fancy Dan" whom looks like Wario's divorced uncle.
@@CrocvsGator(so I finished writing saw how long it was and came to tell you everything in parentheses is irrelevant well except this) Your pretty interesting firstly your definitely right the DC animated universe was beyond amazing (and personally I think if Warner bros focused on that and let someone like universal or Sony take care if their live action universe I think we'd actually have some pretty good continuity going on.) But on the topic of her obscurity like she's not completely random but it's like the dude who harassed tony in the first iron man like not the main villain but the people who kidnapped him like yeah they were important kinda but who actually remembers any of there names.
I see lots of comments about the anime, but nothing about the light novels. Any fans of the game or anime should definitely check those out as well, as they contain by far the most Overlord lore and story.
There are so many stellar metroidvanias on the Switch. Whether fair or not, I compare new releases to the likes of Hollow Knight and Bloodstained , for example. This game looks good but nothing that screams I gotta play that.
I know nothing of this series, but I have looked at the picross game relating to it 😅. This platformers looks like a fun one, and I’m a fan of the aesthetic.

Possible spoilers I'd have to agree with a lot of comments on the choice for Clem-chan to make a return. Feels a bit weird given in the anime at least she served as a plot device for the MC's alter ego to beat and earn a name for himself as a hero.
So as a fan of the Overlord manga, when i saw this game i ignored it, but you explanation of its systems make it interesting. Do check the manga yourself to learn the story a bit, dont worry, Clementine dies rather early in the story.

It's a pretty tricky one, I love Overlord but why do we have to control Clementine? Either I sympathize with her and feel horrible knowing that probably she'll die again (because we know how Ainz can be) or I don't care about her at all and I never finish this game. Either way I'll buy it if exists a physical version just for collection purposes and because I want to support japanese games with official translations.
I’m glad there are fast travel spots. Ya know more MetroidVania’s gotta have that these days. Because FIST doesn’t have it that’s why I haven’t bought it.

Extremely interesting, from the character choice to the games design. Well thinking about it there were only a few choices that'd make sense for an overlord game rip mass for dead aka OL gacha game. You will be missed. By someone. Probably.

I'm very interested in this game, but sadly at the moment this price is a little too steep for me.

Game was the nuts, really glad to pick it up. 65% complete so no true end, but damn if the non-true end isnt on par with what we would expect.
