I was not only lucky enough to be alive when Prince’s music was brand new, but like your Aunty, I was lucky enough to see him live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA in 2004, during his Musicology Tour. Being a child of the 80’s, I’ve seen some incredible shows throughout the decades of my lifetime; incredible artists, most in their prime too. Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Eminem, Metallica, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Green Day, No Doubt, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Outkast, Fleetwood Mac, Marilyn Manson, and The Rolling Stones to name a few. But without a doubt, the greatest artist I ever had the honor of seeing perform live was Prince, hands down. When he played SOMETIMES IT SNOWS IN APRIL, just him on the piano, you could have heard a pin drop; we were simply enthralled, spellbound, it was so astonishing exquisite, his soaring angelic vocals, the hushed lushness of his piano playing. And everyone, EVERYONE, in the arena was moved to tears. In live performance, he was hypnotic, intoxicating, magical, majestic, astonishing in his musicianship, showmanship, dance, and vocal performance. Almost god like, not a human at all. The only way I know to describe his live show as a whole is that he had a way of connecting everyone through the music, including w/ himself, and the power to stir the soul; then join us all in the commonality of the soul. That was his true magic. His music connects to your soul. The ovation and cheers at the end lasted a staggering 14 minutes straight. His artistry and musicianship were unparalleled, a musical genius that gave everything within him to the music; and it just poured out of him, effortlessly. Not like a conduit for electricity, but rather he WAS the electricity itself. Seeing him perform live remains the single greatest, most incredible show or concert of my life. Very thankful I got to.
My God, you are blessed for these wonderfull words For me, there must been an angel that performed through Prince. It was in an superior level 'cause he was music itself.
Great comments. Have fun discovering Prince. I was so lucky to see him 30+ times live. And don't worry about the views. Prince fans don't need the validation. He ain't Nightwish lol
Fantastic, video, man. Please keep digging deeper into Prince's music. You will find a near endless supply of some of the best stuff you will ever hear. That is Wendy Melvoin on rhythm guitar, by the way - from the Revolution. Lisa Coleman, also from the Revolution, joined him on keyboards at this show as well.
the female guitarist starting the song Purple rain here is the same person from the movie. That's Wendy "grown up", and on keyboards is Lisa from the movie/the Revolution also, AND, on the drums on the floor level is... Sheila E. He brought them all back for this award show performance.
I subbed to your channel because of Prince because he is the most talented and complete Musician & Artist of all time, no joke. So yeah do more Prince, he is totally worth it ... music just flows through him. 💜 O(+> 4ever
So much much more to discover with Prince. You have to check him out on the drums, keys/piano and bass. Great dancer and he could do the splits too and spin both left and right. One of a kind.
At least u knew who Prince was, so many channels claim they've never heard of him or heard his music and that's bad Parenting. I didn't have 2 tell my kids who Prince was they already knew. He has waaaaaay more music than everyone else. No lip syncing like others
Love your reaction. From the moment I experienced Prince he was the one for me. Always and forever. So enjoyable to see others appreciate his genius. I wish everyone could have seen him live ... it was always a party. Thank you. 💜
Prince’s live version of Diamonds and Pearls is astounding. Rosie Gains is absolutely insane as his fellow singer. Prince is on a whole other level, what a great reaction:)
I’m really enjoying your reactions to Prince. And I appreciate that you’re reacting to his live performances and not only his most well known hits. Your connection to his music is authentic. 🎶💜🎶

Prince is my all time favorite, above anyone else since I was 12....I’m 50 now. I think you can’t do harm by bringing his music out to more who missed the ride of a lifetime with him. My vote? *PRINCE* 💜💜💜💜💜
Wendy Melvoin and Sheila E guitar, percussion, drums and background vocals will always be the icing on Prince's cake... can't get over it. The kiss to the cheek at his vocalist is the same he did to Wendy in the movie. BTW you gotta come back to Prince to react to his Inglewood live where he even doesn't play one of his songs, but the songs he's playing in there can't be called "covers" since he's owning them better than the original bands... plus he's playing guitar AND bass.
I was in my prime during those 70s and 80s years, and although I can tell you are a part of those eras in Spirit, bro I just wish you could've been there. I witnessed artists like Prince gradually roll over the Disco era, while the weeds of Rap began sprouting up, and taking shape. The Star Wars of music was in transition during that period, and Prince was, and STILL on that magic carpet ride ABOVE the fray.🌹
I'm enjoying getting to see the multiple videos of one artist at a time. Sometimes one song alone is not enough to really see their greatness and after multiple ones you almost get a bit of their personality as well and learn a bit about them. Enjoying your reactions and getting into artists that I know of but have not really spent much time listening to. Thanks.
I bow down to you sir! You absolutely hit the head on the nail. They're overhyped. BUT REMEMBER! This is reaching nirvana in how to perform as an artist. Not only to dance, but to do it all. And that is the essence of Prince; Jack of all trades. And no other artist has even come close to copy that formula, both on stage and on record. Remember "Produced, composed, arranged and Performed by Prince". That was the sticker on all of his albums. He is the musical GOAT, by a landslide.
I was in clubs when prince hit it big on the scene and even in a small club when the DJ would play prince we raised the roof. I mean we partied like it was 1999 he was way up next level since day one special guy he had more than talent it was of off planet stardom touched graced by angels
This guy Prince . Man he is ahead of of them all by a king mile . When it comes to Prince there is no competition ! Hands down the greatest to ever do it .
You have A lot more to listen to when it comes to prince. You still need to check out songs that displays vocals like the beautiful ones or even an unreleased song called come home
Stunning reaction. I was lucky enough to see Prince live 20 times between 1993 all the way up to one of his last UK gigs at KOKO in 2014. He is one of a kind. Infinitely the greatest musician of his, and probably any future generation. His live performances were out of this world. So glad you and many others have discovered his genius. Queen are the next in line to the throne, but a good way behind. Next to check out would be Radiohead...Peace!
He did have to lip sinc sometimes but chewed chewing gum so everyone knew it! Like he wanted people to know they wouldn’t let him sing live! So it was his way of saying ‘Screw You! I’m not pretending for your ratings’ He preferred female musicians also because as well as good listeners, they didn’t have big egos. God I love the man… always 100% himself! Miss him so so much 😢
Love your reactions to Prince...this is the truth .I said to my son when Prince has gone (I didn't expect it to b like this), only then would people realise what this man was all about ..and that was music..Prince is the greatest live act bar none..u don't agree..go take the time and look through u tube...tell me what he couldn't do..his for three albums where just him . singing.. playing.. writing.. producing... everything.. great reaction bud ..love them all
😁You got it a little mixed up…Lisa Coleman is a keyboard player. It’s actually Wendy Melvoin who is a guitar icon…She actually wrote the riffs for Purple Rain…Prince added the lyrics and additional guitar and instrumentals
I do enjoy the deep dives into various artists but there are so many great artists you have yet to react to. Keep going. My preference is to see music videos and my favorite era is the seventies. Some suggestions for the future: Pink Floyd, Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steely Dan, Bob Seger, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, ZZ Top, Supertramp, Rush, many more.
Wendy on the guitar, Lisa on Zynth, Sheila E on drums. Play the song from Paisley Park 1999, Purple Rain, Nothing Comperes 2u, Beautiful one, She’s always in my hair, Kiss, Cream, When doves cry, Sign O’ time, Rapsberry Beret, 17 days, Let the Rain come down, Somebody’s Somebody, play them all 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
React to 17 Days Live or his Just My Imagination Guitar Solo it's AMAZING. Also is Guitar Solo to his cover to the song Creep. Trust me you won't be disappointed! Prince is the FUCKING GOAT!
I would love to see your reaction to the best "Let's go crasy" - live in Siracusa. I simply don't know if you already done but, if you didn't, the only thing I'll say is that you havent seen or hear this Prince' masterpieve
I've got a rabbit hole for you to jump into. Home Free, it's an acapella group that's been around for 20 years. They are current. Man of constant sorrow, Ring of Fire Hillbilly Bone, Elvira featuring the Oak Ridge Boys, How great thou Art, Hopelessly Helping, Butts Remix, American Pie, Mayday, When a Man loves a woman. All by Home Free just to name a few. I'm also a Queenie so if you decide to go back to them try their 70's stuff white Queen live at the Odeon, Stone Cold crazy live at the Rainbow, you take my breath away live at Hyde Park. Lap of the gods revisted live at the odeon. I subbed because of Queen but have enjoyed your opinions. Would be glad to see who you pick next.
Hey Jordan I’m just watching your Prince reactions again and there is a few that I would like you to react to when you revisit Prince’s catalog. Will you react to “Stratus” All shook up” live at Montreux please 💜😃
Do a Prince only channel. I was thinking of doing that myself only I've seen everything cause I love that man. Did you see the video where James Brown called Prince up on stage with him and MJ? Go find that video you'll see. Then he was on stage with Quincy Jones and Q tried to hand Prince the mic and Prince tried to hand Q the lolly pop Prince had in his mouth lmao my man always had a good sense of humor lol. Wendy not Lisa... Lisa was on keyboard.
Your prince reactions were always cool. Nice appreciation for his music and u barely scratched the surface of his music since he covered every genre. U gotta watch once of his full concerts. Non stop high energy in every era separate note, . You d probably get into 90's Japanese women s wresting and some early ring of honor wrestling. Good action. This was ring of honor s first main event. th-cam.com/video/m0W6eb5mOh0/w-d-xo.html
I don't know who is competing with Prince. And I'm shure that it has pass its time, however, my vote is for the 20 Century Mozart ( it's how is was considered back then, by some music critics )
Please can you do James brown mj and Prince. It was the night I think the tension started. Bit of a car crash for one. But 3 legends together. It’s so iconic Dave chapelle Chris rock and wu tang had a full chat about it recently. Would love to see your face.

There is no comparison with today's music, when Prince hits that stage he's a 150 million % a performer 👌😉😎😁😱
Wendy Melvoin and Sheila E guitar, percussion, drums and background vocals will always be the icing on Prince's cake... can't get over it. The kiss to the cheek at his vocalist is the same he did to Wendy in the movie.

Can't argue with that performance. A legend at the top of his game.
A old Social Media Site called “DAILY MOTION” is the ONLY place right now that shows Prince’s FULL SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW.
Dailymotion is just as old as YT. BTW it's owned by Vivendi Universal.

Jack of all trades AND master of every of it, contrary to the aphorism.
This is TRUE. #PrinceIsMusic.💜

Prince was the G.O.A.T and has produced great music from the late 70’s up to his death in 2016.

Prince will be in every Genre you choose 😉
Please react to Prince performing “Baby I’m a star” at the Grammys 1985 and prepare to be blown away!!!
Prince said he thought female musicians 'listen' well. No lip sinc never in his life.
Miss him so so much 😢
Prince was at the the induction of Georgie Harrison into with many artist. My guitar gently weeps, you will see his great guitar skills.

Prince's Lovesexy Live concert is the best one (first half is about sin and the second half is about salvation.) All his hits at the right time.
@@leodejongful SOTT is awesome, but it is lip synched (from a live concert with over dubs). The concert was re-shot at Paisley Park.
3131 and Purple Rain, amazing albums.
