There wasn't a second in this video where I wasn't completely mesmerized. I hope you know that you created something truly significant even though the views don't show it.
Really wonderful vid. So appreciate how sensitive you are with the environment around you. And the music added immeasurably. A true work of art. Well done.
You have inspired me to revisit the Dolomites with my heart, eyes and mind renewed to the joy of just being there.
I know I've said it before but it must be said again, your filming, photography and editing skills are amazing! This was a beautiful vlog and an amazing looking hike. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Stephanie Gillespie Thank you Stephanie! Appreciate the kind words
Agreed. Allan Su's videos deserve millions of views. Watched his Iceland travel vlog, equivalently and strikingly impressive with filming skill and scenery.
Fantastic video. Your channel deserves more views, it is very underrated. You've made this italian proud :D
I appreciate the work you put into your videos the scenery is amazing but the photography and videography is great too. I enjoy watching this
Thank you very much!
Beautiful and informative. Thanks for taking time out of your trip to get all the shots (and thank you to your traveling companion for her understanding and accommodating your passion).
This Channel defo needs more attention. Allan, love the texture of your videos and it is so so relaxing. I watch your vids with my wife Sunday afternoon for relaxation. Keep up the good work brotha!
I would've stop every second of the way not because I'm tired but every step is just beautiful lol
Hands down one of the most beautiful videos I've come across this year. Watching it especially during these tough times is like therapy to me, amazing job man.
Thanks Ali. We all do need some therapy during these difficult times.
Any chance this is part of the Munich to Venice ‘Triumph over the Alps’ hike? A couple friends and I are section hiking but left off way back at the Germany-Austria border.
i spent the whole day glued to your channel, it makes me feel like traveling and discovering... wish i have your skills to document my own travel stories and relive those moments on film.
Thanks for the excellent work you have done here. More than an ordinary travel video. The way you include many close details (tiny flowers, lizard, rain on roof) as well as the grand views makes me feel more like I am experiencing the hike.
My land. My home. I live here on the Dolomites. Thank you for honoring the most beautiful mountains in the world. ;)
Such a beautifully done video! I've been wanting to do this trek for several years now, and I'm hoping to one day make it happen!
I'm so glad I stumbled onto your page! As others have expressed, the skillful way in which you capture your experiences is exquisite! Absolutely breathtaking views - so glad I'm along for the ride!

It’s magical as always. You made it like a movie. Thanks Allan for sharing 👌
Bravissimi, entusiasmante, ogni altro commento è superfluo. Ho effettuato l'Alta Via 1 nel lontano 1970 ed è un ricordo ancora fermo nel mio cuore.
Meraviglioso, grazie.
I love the different angles you shoot in these vlogs and being able to hear some of the original sounds through the music was a beautiful touch. This is so peaceful to watch and have on in the backgorund of life. Thank you for all that you do :D

Every scene was so beautiful! I add a new place to my bucket list every time I watch a video of yours, please make a guide! Did you come across any travel restrictions during this pandemic?
Not during my visit. Just the typical social distancing rules, wearing a mask etc.
Beautifully done.

So underrated 😢😢😢😢
Great positions and filming❤
Hopefully, your subscribers count also will go for a hike after seeing this hiking video😄❤
Seriously, great footage, great editing, story, location and (informational) narrative. Seriously wish you guys were a bit more prolific. Heading to Iceland, watched that video more than once.
Amazing . Greetings from Brazil.
Hi Allan. I read your blog-sorry to hear about your fall. I will be doing your specific route in 2024 probably. This year my wife and I will be doing the Laugavegur. I already downloaded your track on AllTrails. A couple of questions, if you don’t mind. Did you have to book each Refugio by yourself or did you use an agent? Was the AV1 more difficult than the TMB in your opinion?
I booked them all by myself. I haven't done the TMB yet. But from what I've heard, AV1 should be easier.
I am looking up various trails do do next year after completing the TMB pre covid. This is my first time viewing anything on the dolmites. What time of the year did you go? Looks like late summer with no snow anywhere. Were there any peaks or passes with 360 degree views? Was there much high plateau walking? (Most of the walking seemed to be beneath the cliffs).
Very Kraig Adams-y. Good work.
Awesome!
Loved the video and the attention to little detail like the breese/dew scenes. Wonder if you used a drone to capture the mountains lansdscape.
Yup! Wish I flew it a bit more to be honest
Allan this has got to be one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world! Thank you for sharing this amazing scenery with us! How do you get all those shots of you guys walking away from the camera, though? Do you have to walk all the way back and get it, or is it your drone that you program to come after you?
Good old fashion walking back to get it
@@AllanSu OH wow, that's a lot of extra effort bro! Good thing you're young and in good shape! 😃
Lovely video! How many days did it take you to finish the hike? Do you mind sharing your accommodation list? Also what would you recommend and not? We did tour du Mont Blanc last year. I'm researching for our next summer hiking vacay. Thank you.
I believe it was 8 days. I've linked a more detailed report with more info in the description box under the video.
Thank you for this amazing video! In what month have you had this trip?
I am going to travel in Dolomites in May, so I need to understand if I need an ice axe )))
VERY NICE VÍDEO ! CONGRATS !
loved loved loved your videos! ❤🤞❤ just subscribed! wanted to personally ask what camera and lens do you use?
Great video! Just wondering, how did you take so many shots of both of you walking? Was there a third person or did you have to double back to retrieve the camera every time? Or was it a drone?
Thanks! I just used a tripod with my camera and double backed.
@@AllanSu - thank you for all the hard work going back & forth for the video!
Excelente vídeo, I’m in love with your channel, I learn so much from it. How far in advance did you made the reservation at the places you stayed?
1-2 months I would say. But this was right after the first covid lockdown in Italy. Usually, you want to book 6-8 months before.
Wonderful
love your video.
Very nicely made! I saw your video on the Kraig Adams stream yesterday, and I'm glad I watched it :) AV1 and AV2 are on my list for hiking next year :) What upcoming hikes do you have planned for next year?
Thanks! Looking to possibly do some hikes in Norway and Japan.
@@AllanSu Very nice! Crossing the Lofoten islands is also on my list for next year :) Btw. did you use a book guide for the AV1? I heard you speak Danish, and I also live in Denmark, so I am willing to buy it if you are willing to sell it :)
No book guide. Just online research and AllTrails app
@@AllanSu Nice, thanks for the reply 👌
wow!
This looks beautiful but what part wasn’t good about it or what would you have changed ?
I did the Alta Via 1 this summer and there's nothing I would have changed about it! Maybe I'd like to do it again but from hut to hut!
Great job with your vlog again. Was this the original time of year you planned for this trip or did the pandemic alter your plans for this year. Just wondering what time of year is best to visit the Dolomites. Thanks
Yup. No pandemic rescheduling for this trip. Anywhere between June-Sep seems to be a good time to visit if you plan to do some hiking.
Hi. I m from brasil. Sorry my english. I love your movie. Could you tell me the name of refuges you used.i plan to go soon. Thank you. Obrigado
How did you guys plan out this trip? I’ve been looking into trying to contact a walking vacation planner
When did this take place? Looking to hike it in sept. this year but it looks like you had great weather on your trip so would like to know what time of year you went. Great video!
Thanks Sofie. I believe this was around mid-August. But I do want to say that while the weather was overall good, we did encounter afternoon storms which are common on the Alta Via 1.
Can you get a guide? Is it possible to get lost? I want to plan this with my sister but wondering abour logistics, lodging etc? Any info wld be appreciated. Beautiful video
Since no one answered you...yes, there are local guides if you want to hike the Alta Via 1 in a small group, that can be pretty expensive. If you want to sleep in the refugios it's advisable to start contacting them about 6 month before your departure. I find a bit hard to get lost on the trail, especially if you do it in summer it can be kinda crowded in the first half, that said it all depends on your experience, but the trail is well marked, just pay attention in the screes.
awesome
Nice vid love to see more like this. Very Kraig Adams like
Did you guys contact some kind of a guide to take u both.
Allan, Did you need to make reservations at all of the places you stayed overnight?
Mike Sterling Yes
I love treaking :)
90 miles just going back and forth picking up the camera xD
When is your tour day? From to..
Not sure I understand your question :)
Allan Su sounds like he was asking about your trip dates.
@@ricecowboy yes. You are right!!
신현무 I went during the end of August. So somewhere between 20-28th would be the dates.
How hard is to complete alta via 1 in 5 days?
Can you walk 24 km per day in mountainous terrain?
@@AllanSu ...wow i think it is very hard then(+kilos).Thank you for your answer.
Was camping outside allowed?
P G Technically, no. But I did see a couple of hikers with tents
Da invidiare bellisimo
