- We, Sophie, Laura, Lenni and I wanted to go on a big adventure this year and I made a whole film about our journey. Together we hiked the Alta Via 1 trail in the Italian dolomites. A cinematic and breathtaking adventure.
Filmed on the Fujifilm XT4 and DJI Mavic 3 Pro.
Music by Musicbed and Artlist.
3d Animation with Google Earth Studio.
Why doesn't this have more likes? This is beautiful.
What a masterpiece!! Great choice of music. You are such a valuable asset to the TH-cam channel. Please keep sending us many more sensational videos like this one🙏 Presenting the video in English was much appreciated!! Keep travelling 🌏🛩️
Thank you so much Marco
I hiked the Alta Via nr 1 long ago. It was stunning. But one of the absolutely best trails in the Dolomites is the Alta Via nr6, called l’Alta Via dei Silenzi (the Trail of Silences ) because it has some very long, wild and solitary stretches.
Sounds amazing, I haven't hike the AV1 yet.
Great filming. Scene above the cloud with “ orange “ lighting combined with the music. Very dramatic and moving.👏
Thank you Simon, very appreciated. Merry Christmas to you
Wow, stumbled upon your Movie whilst browsing. Incredible footage, well put together with great edits and accompanying music fitted perfectly. You have inspired me to seek out some Hikes here in Tasmania Australia, thankyou and keep up the great work 🙏👏
Thank you Adam, means a lot to me. Tasmania sounds amazing.
Mega hammer geiles video man. Ein Vorbild im sportlichen, cinematischen und Schnitt. Das muss man erstmal schaffen🎉
vielen Dank Tom
Damn, wthat shots you got there! The weather was rather bad for you but this sunset/sunrise compensated all the cloudy days! Great video! Last year we started AV1 with similar weather but it got better later. The strange thing is i do not recognize quite many places from your video, i think it is because you took some other variants or maybe because you do more drone footage than first person and it just looks a bit different. Or maybe i dont remember things well :) For sure will remember better when i get to editing my videos someday. Cool Alpine ibex! We didnt met any on AV1, jut seen somewhere in far far distance, but in 2022 on TMB we met even too man and too close :) Great video! Cheers!
Really enjoyable. A+ effort!
The best part was no one died
Thank you 🙏 we were happy as well about not losing anyone in the trail. 🫶
Wow! Epic shots.
Voll schön!
Stunning video. Congrats for all the work you put to make this!
Fantastically filmed, excellent video.
Thank you for taking the time to create this video, it is wonderful!
Thank you for watching it, means a lot to me 🫶
Beautiful film. Glad you got your sunset shots.
amazing frames , colors, and mood, beautiful movie....
thank you so much
Einfach mal wunderbar...😍😍😍
Great video - what a great hiking group with great attitudes.
Thoroughly enjoyed this - thanks for making and sharing such a beautiful film ❤
Thank you for the nice words
Great job filming! A wonderful adventure. On my list of trails. TMB next year but I have to do the AV1 soon after.
Thank you for sharing
Very good and inspiring video, thanks a lot!🙏😊
Hi Vincent thank you for showing us your wonderful film, it is excellent cinematography, entertaining and makes you want to get out there and explore. More like this please 😃
Thank you so much, more is coming soon.
Incredible work! I always love stumbling upon fellow hikers/videographers. I'm excited to see what kind of work you pump out next 😃
thank you so much Kendra. Your videos look great as well, especially the one about your hiking in Colombia. I did a similar hiker there two years ago and loved it there.
best video ive seen for a alta via trail! im thinking about doing this for my 18th birthday and this is very convincing for me
Thank you 🙏 do it. It was such a great tour.
You've done an amazing job! Wonderful film :)
I was on this trail just before you (July 25-31). It was nice to recognize the various locations in your beautiful videography. Thank you.
Awesome, hope you had a great time on the trail and probably better weather than we had 😂
@@vincentgoette Thank you. Yes, it was an epic experience--borderline spiritual. I didn't camp, so I had a lighter pack than you guys, but I'm jealous of that bivouac cabin you found. It was raining when I left from Braies, but it cleared up an hour later and was nearly perfect the rest of the way.
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you so much ☺️🫶
Absolutely beautiful ! Thank you for this uplifting video!
Thank you for the nice words ❤️
Phenomenal film. Great story telling!
thank you
Truly spectacular Vincent! Subscribed!
Thank you
Really enjoyed the film, Vincent! Looking forward to following along. Hoping to hike the AV myself next summer.
Thank you so much, really appreciate it. It’s a great trail to hike, definitely do it.
natürlich hat es mir gefallen!
Great cinematography!

Original approach how to cover AV1. Well done. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a lot, I always want to do it a bit different.

Thank you Petr
Amazing experience you share 👍 love ❤from Bharat
Thank you so much
that was such a good video Vincent... gave me such a good idea of an alpine hike I have always wanted to do...thanks.. Gilly Australian backcountry guide
Before I hike a through hike, I research by watching many videos. I did AV1 last summer. Maybe you saw me-the grey haired woman hiking solo? This video is excellent and better than any other I’ve seen for the Dolomites. I hope you will do more. I subscribed!
Thank you so much, very appreciated. I will definitely do more videos this year. But I can’t recall seeing you on the track. But hopefully you had a great time.
Wow! Hat Spaß gemacht euch zuzuschauen, meeeehr davon 😁
danke dir Georg finde deine Videos auch immer mega
Excelente guys
Thank you so much
Amazing film, thank you. Im walking in July and thinking of taking a drone.
Did you need special permission to film there or is it ok?
Just finished watching and it was a pleasure. Very nice cinematography and stunning drone shots. Loved it!
Thank you Niri 🫶
Hi! It is very nice and interesting video. I plan Alta Via1 autumn 2024, so fantastic inspiration in your film👏💚
I hiked Alta Via2 this autumn and I'm excited for AV1. Do you think AV1 is accesible with the dog?
May I know where is the summit you took the stunning sunset and sunrise clip? Nature is such a beauty! Thank you for the video, really inspired us to visit Dolomites!
Thank you very much, it was close to Monte Talvena
Great mood here, stunning photography! I would like to ask, what time of the year you did the tour? You have to book the huts previosuly? Thanks a lot
Thank you, we did the tour in August which is the high season, so you definitely need to book the huts in advance.
Absolutely magnificent video. The editing music and cinematography was lovely. I would love to hike this route and stay where you stayed. Can one find it online or could you perhaps be kind enough to share it ?
Thank you so much. Hit my up on Instagram, I will send you the track we walked.
Gefällt mir sehr 👏🏻🫶🏼
Danke Kathrin ❤️🫶
Amazing videos man, probably will do it this August same as you guys! The video is extremely helpful to get some ideas on what's going up ahead 🙁
Do you have somewhere a blog post or description on the energy/battery management you have to maintain to keep the drone alive?
I don't have a blog like that at the moment. But what we did was pretty easy. I carried a big powerbank with me which i charged at the huts we slept in. In the huts I also charged my camera gear. So its not that difficult if you sleep in huts every other day.
Hi, are you allowed to just sleep anywhere? Or are there designated camp area's?.
Video is really awesome!
Hi, it depends on how you are camping and where. Usually it is not allowed to use a Trent, which we didn’t do, as we only had a tarp. Also you can’t camp in protected areas like nature reserves. But as long as you don’t damage nature, don’t disturb wildlife, don’t leave any trash and being respectful with nature generally I never had any problems sleeping outside.
@@vincentgoette What kind of tarp do you use? And what size? I am planning a trip to the Dolomites as well :)
Awesome video..loved it all from music to directing and editing. I am planning on going Solo on these hikes, in 1st week of June. Solo would be ok hiking around the dolomites with only a sleeping bag?
Solo Hiking is definitely possible, but maybe the first week of June is a bit early as many huts are opening around mid June, you need to do some good research and planning before the trip. There could also still be lots of snow in the higher areas.
@@vincentgoette Thank you so much for your reply. Reason why I am going early is to avoid the stampede of tourists! haha.. i am still checking online for someone who hiked up to Seceda without cable cars.. couldn't find any. Keep it up! Subbed
@@user-gh1zk4fh3h I’ve hiked up to seceda as well. There are different routes you can take, depending on where you are coming from.
@@vincentgoette I'll Train from Bolzano to Ortisei.. so i guess I'll be starting from Ortisei
Hey great video man! Was wondering what lens did you bring for this trip? Would love to see your camera gear list as I am also fellow Fuji shooter
Thank you so much ☺️ mainly I’ve been using the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 for my Fuji. It’s such a great lense. What camera are you shooing on?
Wonderful work on the video! What is that name of the hut at around 19:00 into the video?
The hut is called Rifugio Coldai
Kompliment 😊
Really inspired by your video to hike Dolomites! May I know any recommendation on guidebook and maps to plan the hike? Thank you!
I did my own research, but you can probably find public tracks on all the different mapping tools.
It would be great if you can share your itinerary in description, I found it very helpful in planning my TMB trail last year from references of TH-camrs. Treasure your friendship! (hope there is English translation at the end of the video, so we can share the laughters)
hi Vincent, such an amazing video!!:) i was just wondering if you had any trouble having enough drinkable water when you were sleeping outside? was it enough to refill the water bottles when you had the chance at the huts or could you refill them along the way at some spots? and did you have an estimated budget per day? if yes, could you share how much maybe? thanks so much for answering and looking forward to see your other videos ;)
Usually there is plenty of water you can fill up either in the huts or also in little rivers and streams along the way. On the days we slept in huts we payed around 70-100€ per day for everything and on the days we slept outside it’s of course much cheaper, maybe 10-20€ for lunch in a cabin.
@@vincentgoettethat’s great!! thank you so much!❤️
Your video is epic!! I am so inspired! I wish I could give it 1k likes! ❤
Thank you so much ☺️🫶❤️
Hello! This is amazing . We would love to do this hike. Can I find this route somewhere?
And what do you think? is this possible in april?
This is basically the standard Alta via 1 route, but April is to early. Usually there will still be lots of snow till end of may. Also most of the cabins are opening in mid June, so that’s when the main hiking season in the Dolomites starts.
@@vincentgoette okaaay. Thanks. Do you have any experience where you could do a 7-10 day hike in April? Which is similar to dolomites
Nice video.
What's the name of that cabin at 10:00 in? Coordinates?
Thanks
Thank you, the cabin doesn't really have a name and is probably not open for guests. We just used the balcony as a rain shelter. If you want to hike there, these are the coordinates. 46°36'35.6"N 12°01'12.3"E
In which month did you guys visit?
We went in August
You were unlucky with the weather. Usually it is not that bad. Thats my experience.
Yes we didn’t get the best weather but it was still super fun.
Wanted to become a better filmmaker? Succeeded.
I knew I'll suffer if I don't take my camera with me. Now I'm thinking about drone, too 🙈
Hahaha thank you. Yeah it’s always difficult to pack light with all that stuff.
