  • Part 1 review of the Monstrum Next Level Precision Scope Level. Initial thoughts about the scope level, why I needed a scope level, mounting the scope level and issues encountered during mounting. See why i chose the Monstrum Next Level Precision Scope over other scope levels like the Wheeler, MK Machining Scope Level, and the Flatline Ops Tango RM 2 Picatinny Scope Level

I hope you put a level on that sand to see if it's level!

Nope... gave up on worrying about the Front Rest and bag being level with this setup. The SPHUR mount was mounted perfectly level, the integral mount level reflects that & now the Monstrum too, as well as alignment of the vertical portion of the reticle to a plumb line & the horizontal to a level water line. Problem with this rifle is that the fore end/barrel shroud is just slightly off, making the pick rail M Lok and front bag rider slightly off. So, I adjust the rest to the levels (which are correct) and send it. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

i always put a drop of silicone caulk inside the bottom ring half and it will never move.

it amazes me that none of the experts never measure plumb as a final ch from a shooting position enjoy your vids keep it up@@CrustyOldMarine

@@USAACbrat I've always found that to be the easiest by checking building/house corners. You can easily get/be far enough away to actually focus. Permanent target stands carriages work pretty well too, though you can't always guarantee they're as plumb as a building

Couldn't find the follow up video. How did it workout for you on the range?

Haven't had the chance yet. Hopefully going in a few days and will check while I'm checking some other things and doing Part 3 of RPR 6.5 Creedmoor Load Development and Accurizing .. th-cam.com/video/TeDkqUwkq1E/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared

ck it against a plumb line last as a real test.

Great practice and, I always do that when I first mount a scope.

    What Rosin did you use?

Some that I "borrowed" from my son's fiddle case...lol. It's a small puck used for the horsehair strings on the bow.

+1 for the tenmile.... best scope for the money... and lighter than any other (the lht feels like junk compared to tenmile)

I TOTALLY agree! The only optic I've directly compared it to that was better was the March Majesta. N.F. Kahles and March High Master were equal to or less than the Tenmile
