This cameraman has an awesome eye for detail. It would be challenging to not get too caught up in the beauty of your surroundings and keep focused on your job. He's always having to get ahead and find those angles without giving their locations up to the animals they're hunting. To get paid to be Steven's cameraman is a underappreciated job to the average viewer and it would be super challenging, but in every since extremely rewarding to not only be a first hand part of these epic hunts, but to gain the overall knowledge of hunting that Steven has. I'd love to be a part of this, even if it was behind a camera and not a rifle.
Steve calling it off on his target big buck to get the smaller wounded fella down for good, makes me really happy to see such a good example of an honorable hunter

I'm curious as to the nature of the injury that deer had, where on his body was he shot? Kudos to you for finishing off an animal that would otherwise die a slow painful death.
As a fellow hunter, Steven is a role model for me in many ways. He is a unique, ethical, honest hunter who has established many great relationships. Thank you Steven.

I live in southeast Arizona and it is honestly incredible how different it looks when u get on those canyons, there are spots I’ve seen with 20 foot deep springs that are perfectly clear to the bottom
On one hunt my dad and I both bagged wounded deer. Pretty sure mine was hit by a ca. It was early december but he had lost lost his antlers and a badly bruised shoulder. Dad's had a broken front leg. Had been running on the nub for some time, but would have had a rough winter. Feels like that is all part of our job of wildlife management.
11:42 That, my friends, is a Diamond Back rattle snake. They can get massive! Had one in my backyard, I would estimate it to have been nearly 3 feet long.
Nice. We also have the "Grey Gost of Africa": The Kudu. Definitely a animal that disappears in an instance if you do not keep your eye on him. In South Africa we also do liver/heart wrapped in caul fat. We call them "Skilpadjies" - Which translates to "little tortoises" in English.
I like Steve as a writer and person. The hunts are a little repetitive but it’s interesting to watch most of the time. But it does lack a bit of an arc for his personal growth. But he’s an authentic individual.
I lived in Tucson in the 1980s and (at least at that time) you had to have a fishing license to hunt/kill reptiles. However, under the circumstances, I highly doubt any game warden would have found a violation in what happened with you. Great videos! Also, taking the wounded buck over the other was a class act. You have grown immeasurable amounts of respect from me for that. Well done.
Even if that was still the case, the only long term license (short term not available for big game draw hunts) for non-residents is the Hunt/Fish Combo so he'd be covered. 👍
My hunt starts in a couple more weeks here in AZ im excited ill take anything over 100 this year but im focused on my step brother last year he got his first deer ever a spike so now we gotta put a trophy on the wall for him

It looks like it was a leg shot cause it was limping pretty bad, maybe the first hunter misjudged distance and broke the front leg of the deer
