Yeah surely, if you're running around shooting at tiny Blacktail 350 yards away. I love that the show has always stayed true since the very first episode! Steven is, by far, the best hunting personality out there today! So much knowledge and respect for the game he hunts and the people he meets and shares his trips with.
I started on the newer seasons, but I sort of like the feel of these older episodes better. Less scripted, less fancy gear. Just feels more visceral and real.
Started watching this show on youtube a few days ago and I’ve been hooked since. It’s crazy interesting seeing how much more comfortable the camera-people get throughout the episodes. The shake on the kill shot is something you never see in newer seasons, and it was the first time I realized how freaky it must be trying to focus on that animal without knowing when a gunshot will happen 10 feet from you lol. Such an amazing show though, everything about it is exactly as it should be
I like the way you are thinking and conversing with yourself... Every second of your thinking is reflected with your eye movements..... THE BEST HUNTER I've come across on TH-cam

For all those concerned about flying and hunting on the same day...from page 19 of the 2020-2021 Alaska Hunting Regulations guide: "You may hunt deer the same day airborne (provided you are 300 feet from the airplane)." Could have been different 10 years ago but I'm pretty sure Rinella knows his stuff in regards to the regs.
The first reason I love this show is because I was raised to hunt for my family not my wall and it’s good to see a guy on a show who doesn’t only trophy hunt. I’ve been retired for over a decade now from hunting due to personal reasons but I’m itching to get back into it!!!
So glad I found your channel, I haven't watched in a few years and recently have had that itch to get back out and hunt. Thanks for posting these old episodes, really gets me motivated. Let's eat!

So glad no blood sign on the first buck shot at and beautiful shot on the kill. The venison had my mouth watering as you bit into and chewed it. Congrats Steve.

The cooking and eating portion of “Meat Eater” is absolutely what makes it my favorite hunting show. When I see a shooter deer my mouth waters a little, every time! Weird? Maybe, but true!
That's not weird, at least not in TN, my family always defined a trophy buck as a freezer filler. My dad passed up a ten point buck last year because it was skinny and shot a heavyweight forkhorn.
I hope, that every episode will ever be with german translation! One of the best series i'd ever seen and i really like the spirit of steven. Great job, guys!

Out of the gate, the very best production values on TV: visual, audio, pace, responsibility, complexity. Steven, you are the man.
Pete Ventoux Steven’s writing is top notch too.

I wish he would bring the poor cameraman in some of the videos. That would be a hard job filming around Steven.
