I don’t think Pokémon will ever reach those heights again. Safe to say BW2 are forever cemented. Halo 2, BW2, armored core 2 are my Mount Rushmore of video games.

It seems like BW2 was everything BW was, but improved. The UI, the music, the pace of battles, everything. Except for the removal of Route 10. That will always hurt.

I've always loved how this version is transposed up a half step from the original BW version, it makes it sound even more definitive and triumphant.

@@clemente3966 funny thought, i finish the game modded by drayano in hard mode. This theme was already most of the time my last vs. his last.
Sword and Shield did an okay job with their 'gym leader's last pokemon' music but NOTHING can beat the original banger that is this track
SwSh's take on it is by no means bad, but what really sets this song apart from it is that SwSh's "last pokemon" theme feels more indifferent, if that makes sense. It's peppy, it's energetic, sure, but it's just an extension of the regular gym theme that was already playing, and feels more like the audience getting hyped as the fight reaches its climax, or even like they're cheering the gym leader on since again, it's just an extension of their own theme. BW2's theme feels more special to me though, because it totally replaces the gym leader's slower, more intimidating theme with this fast paced, bombastic one. It feels like the song is cheering _you_ in specific on as you reach the home stretch and the gym leader pulls out their ace.

@noatiendoboludos Dude, the Pokemon theme plays for every main game title screen. It's not just Gen 1, it encapsulates the entirety of Pokemon.
This is such an incredible remaster of this song, really brought me back to when I was a kid trying to beat the gyms.

this "final stand" music needs to make a comeback, it's just so EPIC! brings back such good memories with my first pokemon game, getting me fired up with my team, and hearing this when you're close to victory makes it even more exciting!
This is my favorite bit in any Pokemon battle themes tbh, it just hypes up the battle sooooooooo much more, and I love it!

This being the Pokémon intro theme remixed gives it so much more power to it as a theme representing a finale to a boss, once again great remix Zame
Roxie/Homika is one of my favorite gen 5 character designs ever. I remember thinking she was the coolest back then.
If she had a team with newer pokemon, her ace would be toxtricity (low key), it's the perfect pokemon for a bass guitarist who uses poison types (Roxie plays the bass guitar)

I love this guy's remasters because they never skip out on what makes the originals so cool and so special. Using the most clean versions of samples directly from the game and what-not. THIS is EXACTLY what the music in a hypothetical B2W2 remake should sound like

When you and the Gym Leader are both down to your last Pokémon, and you've got no Revives left.
If I were asked to compose a song called "Victory Lies Before You!" it'd probably sound like this -- which means Game Freak did an excellent job and your work solidified it. Honestly, this song has me so pumped up

I love this so much as everything that you do. Now, I had an idea. What if as every gym has its own theme, all the gym leaders had their own version of the gym battle themes and the last pokemon theme. Like, Cheren could have the basic one and then Roxie would have a rock version of these themes, Burgh a weirdly good one and so with the others. I know this is a lot but it would be awesome we could hear a lot of different versions of these themes with the same quality

Oh, here comes victory! My favorite part of Unova gym battles was this theme that showed up at the end, adding extra tension and excitement. This is a perfect remaster Zame! Keep up the amazing work!

I remember when I first played Black and got to the last Pokemon and this started playing . My jaw dropped and just kinda sat there and all the memories of me as a small child trying to beat Brock with my charmander came flooding back . The nostalgia of when Pokemon games brought that challenge and how amazing it was to overcome.
I will never not love this theme, not a single theme represents Pokemon better than this one.
