Alien Instinct - Animated fan film made with Blender

- This movie was inspired by the game "Alien Isolation" and entirely created with Blender.

I worked on this project for two years and often abandoned it for weeks or longer but learned so much about how to handle a big project and can definitely improve on future projects. Although it has many problems and mistakes I am quite happy with the final outcome and looking forward for more projects.

Ending was just as much a surprise

very nice! im impressed you managed to achieve all this in blender, especially the hair simulations
I enjoyed it and I know you made it a few years back... The only issue I had with it were the sound effects needed leveled... I know you were using what you had available but it seemed weird with the Xeno's footsteps when we first see it.. This is not a dig at the work. Constructive criticism. Overall I really liked it and was a nice touch at the end... very Genre appropriate LOL Sometimes the good guys don't win and that is refreshing. I subbed and will have a look at any other content you may have.. I do hope you continue on with your journey in video and story telling. Great job and Thanks for sharing it with us!!

Not bad, had me tensed up. That poor young woman goes thru hell getting away from a monster and the ship only to wind up in the lair of the monsters. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. 😀

Ha. I love that shot at 4:30, with the xeno looking down the EEV chute, “huh?” Reminds me of my pup looking down at me from upstairs, or something.
Ooooo, cruel ending. “Ahhh nuts!” she says. This is outstanding. The way you capture her head movements, and especially her hair, is amazing. You obviously spent a lot of time making her body language speak volumes. I don’t know a thing about animation, but this looks really hard to accomplish. How many hours would you say you had to put into this?
Awesome! It would take me an hour just to figure out how to make a glowing cube with a hole in it.

Did you make that dog alien model yourself and rig it? I’ve long desired to replace the dog alien in alien 3 for a remaster as it’s compositing always really bothered me. Let me know if you’d like to donate your model to the effort

My idea for a third alien covenant/prometheus movie is as follows:
The engineers are the main characters in the movie and comes to the planet that was in the Prometheus movie.
There they find Weyland inside the crashed spaceship. They have a blue elixir which they empty all over him and bring him to life.
But while doing this the Deacon from the Prometheus movie sneaks into their spaceship and hide it self in one of the ventilation chambers.
In the next part they arrive at the planet from alien covenant and find the other robot(Walter) who is david's twin.The engineers use the blue elixir and repairs him.
Once awaken the engineers and Weyland get to know all the horrible things that David has done, and weyland says "we have to stop David" .
They set course for origae. When they arrive,they scans all the planet,and finds the planet is full of hostile organisms except
on a high mountain where they discover that there are humans inside a cave.
Inside the cave they meet a herd of children, who tell that when they had lived on the planet for over ten years,
they began to be attacked by Xenomorphs and all the adults died or were turned into these creatures.
There were also great giants developed by someone the children calls David.
The engineers get ready to wipe out all the Xenomorphs that David has created, but the great giants manage to escape with one of the engineers' spaceships.
The engineers and Weyland hunts the spaceship and manage to force the spaceship down on the planet lv426.Where it start sending a distress signal.
The engineers return to Origae to find David, but discover that he has escaped.
In the last part we see David arriving and meeting an unknown alien species
on a tropical like planet.
But when he and the unknown aliens have left the spaceship,the deacon slips out of the ship and is seen running toward the nearest settlement.
And that makes the cliffhanger that ends the third movie.
I like it, good plot concept
A little rigid but awesomely made considering you only used Blender3d? What character system did you use? It looks a little "cartooney"? Good work m8;)
Thank you! Yes everything was made in Blender except for the Hoodie that was simulated in Marvelous designer and exported to Blender. I thought this is a good workflow but I wouldn't do it again and simulate the cloth in Blender aswell in the future. I rigged the character myself by creating my own rig. It was not very powerful though.

I don't know sh*t about blender. I'm a camera and model guy but, I watched the whole thing. Way to go.
Not bad at all. The farthest I ever got with blender and that was eons ago was a making a copy of Core's Tomb Raider 1 Lara character. Very low poly count on my Lara, LOL.
