    Hey Pascal, when you crimp uninsulated terminals, you want the dimple of the die to crimp the opposite side of the split in the terminal barrel. This is per manufacture instructions for the terminals. Thanks for taking the time to make this video with the close up shots of the crimper tool in action.

      Yes. I could not get the proper terminals to demonstrate. Thank you for watching

      Also at 12:00 he has the crimper upside down and crimps the insulated blue terminal backwards.

    At 12:05 it wasnt a different crimp because of the "different tools" or parts where it squeezes; you had the tool flipped upside down and the wire was coming in from the right side of the crimper instead of the left side for the prior yellow terminal. It will never come out, which is correct, because the strongest part of the crimp was on the insulation. The two imprinted dots should be on the terminal end, and the crimper doesnt crimp as hard on the standing wire end when used in the correct orientation. Anyways, I have this crimper and needed to turn the adjustment wheel to one less than max for these style of terminals, otherwise the wire could consistently be easily pulled out. I was using a 16 AWG wire in a blue 14-18 insulated terminal. Still a good tool but I wish the adjustment wheel was easier to rotate. You end up scratching up the metal trying to make an adjustment.

¡Espero me digas tu experiencia!

      @@donaldovelecesapolinar9047 que tal! Te puedo recomendar sin duda la crimpeadora VK-9CQK o VX-9CQK, tiene mordazas 5 intercambiables, la acabo de adquirir y de verdad senti más ligero el apriete y justo lo comentaba con un compañero ya que tenía una SN48B y si crimpa a bien pero era ponerle mucha fuerza y la VK-9CQK Y VX-9CQK es de 9 pulgadas.

      The tool in the video I bought here amzn.to/3UCXIY1 It has 5 dies and is 9" long. The smaller ones are just over 6", and the dies are screwed in. The 6" for heatshrink is here: amzn.to/3LVSiUp and the pvc/nylon here: amzn.to/3S83LSS I recommend the 9" over the smaller ones. Thank you for watching

    Thanks for the review, I bought this crimper but find it really struggles with yellow pvc insulated terminals. I only have A and A5 dies, but they are not great. Do you think the C will do the job? I also tried to do an Anderson plug lug (for 12AWG) using the B die but it made no indentation whatsoever. I question this Wirefy now. But like I said, thanks for the review.

    • @Boopolo
      @Boopolo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As for powerpole (Anderson) connections, you need a special die. It will have 15 30 45 on it which refers to the amperage. I checked the extra dies from Wirefy here amzn.to/3rFx2MG and they do not seem to have this die. I will check third party one's later. As you can see on the list, B & C are for non-insulated and open-barrel respectively. If die A is not crimping your PVC terminals good enough, then you probably need to adjust the crimping pressure on the side of the tool.

    On the “insulated terminals” the 2 dots go closest to the wire or opposite?

    • @Boopolo
      @Boopolo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you are correct. It was mentioned here before. I turned it upside down

    • @harleyguy932
      @harleyguy932 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, still confused, the 2 dots go towards the wire (like in your video) or towards the end of the terminal.

    • @Boopolo
      @Boopolo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The wire goes in the side with the colored dots and/or markings. There is an error on behalf of Wirefy on the Amazon photo page, where they have the crimp sticking out on the marking side.
