OMG, great ideas! That sink is great, I’m not so sure I’d have it in my van because I need space for my dogs (a pit and a whippet) but I have a 30’ trailer in Baja that’s my home when I’m there, doesn’t move and I’m planning on building a patio since you mostly live outdoors there with a small kitchen and this would be perfect! Being so inexpensive means that if I have to pay duty at the border it’ll be just a few bucks. I’m selling my place in California and doing Van life for months, returning to my tiny “house” in Baja for the cold months. Presently I’m in the mountains, no IKEA here and they won’t deliver thus videos like this are very helpful for when I go in the city to IKEA Wow this helps me a lot. Thanks!
I had the sink and loved it. I added Velcro and added a curtain or sheer curtain to hide the goodies underneath. Made it nice. Thx for the other ideas and I had no clue the accessories for the sink.
Your IKEA no build van is absolutely ideal! Can’t see that you’d ever need anything more. Many van builds are so heavy with wood walls, floors, ceilings, and cabinetry which of course ultimately costs money at the gas pump. We’re planning our cargo trailer build (all taped out on our kitchen floor 😉) and will use many IKEA components: bed supports and slats, shelving, drawer units with countertop over top, sink, and all their cool storage bins/baskets etc. I love IKEA!
Ty for this information. I've been looking for a kitchen/sink unit. This one would be perfect. I have a large shed/storage building in my backyard. Since I formerly did cat/dog rescue, a unit like that would be perfect as I have cats in and out. Cleaning dishes and litter boxes would be much easier.
You know, even though I love browsing at Ikea - and have been to many around the country, I have yet to buy something from there🙃 Thanks, as always, for sharing! Give Sophie some love from me, Kari🌞
Thank you so much Adelina. That was very useful and you did a great job filming despite how uncomfortable you felt. Well done!! It's very much appreciated!! 🙏🏼🙌🏼😊💕
That is such a hack with the bed setup! After almost completely our build, I will say, if you can save yourself time and stress by getting a couple things prebuilt or premade, really consider it. Building a van is incredibly rewarding, but some areas will never be worth the stress.
YOU & YOUR VIDEOS HAVE SOLVED MY VAN LIFE KITCHEN RUBRIC 🙏🏽🚐🖤💪🏽 THANK YOU for putting yourself out here and sharing your experiences & recommendations ❤
Thank you for this. Everything is just right for doing a van no build. I hope to do something soon and will definitely be visiting IKEA. That sink set up seems to be perfect and everything has a place. Your tiny home is just lovely and comfortable. Wishing you well and when you get on he road for adventures - safe travels.
YOU HAVE CONVINCED ME IKEA IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR NO BUILD, BUILD. I DID BUY THE SIX WALL MOUNTS FOR THE BED OFF EBAY, NOT KNOWING IKEA GIVE THEM AWAY. GREAT VIDEO! ALWAYS THUMBS UP!
I really like it when people who outfit their vehicle to either sleep or camp in, with the products that they use. Ever so helpful. Thank you very much
I’m so glad I stumbled onto your channel! Thanks for this video. You proved my theory that IKEA products are functional/practical, lightweight and affordable for a no-build camper setup - it just makes sense to me. New Subbie here and I’ve enjoyed all of your videos I’ve watched so far. I really like your candor. Thanks for sharing your insight with us! Happy Travels!
😮😳 I am ASTOUNDED that Sophie responded to you saying her name ! And how perfect was that when she looked at you when you said the word "we!" That was just mind boggling because I've been around cats and when the master said their name the cat had zero reaction😅
KUDOS for wonderful information and share! Ikea sounds great, just a litle hard to get to sometimes, as in far away... Hope to find a Van like yours one day, and do the same, but for now, a MiniVan has to do. All the BEST to you and Happy New Year too! Cheers from down south :)
I think if I ever get to qn Ikea I'd better have an entire day and sizeable wallet. Theres so much I'd like to get there but nearest one is 2 hours away.
The information about the bed and the kitchen, in particular, are so valuable, thank you, you are very generous.
You’re welcome Esther 😊

Since they have a restaurant you at least won’t starve 😉
I’m worried about you, you seem to have labored breathing.
