  • This is a very basic video explaining how to put the litter robot three open air back together- after breaking it down into two pieces of the globe, two pieces of the waste drawer, taking out the rubber liner, and taking out the sifter/shield on the inside. This one does not have the connect feature, I'm not sure if that process would be different or not. I explained everything with the idea of someone who has no knowledge of tools in order to hopefully help someone out! I wanted to put all of this into one video to save someone some time.

Tips BEFORE taking this apart that you may need when putting it back together:
(Majority are along the same lines as the disassembly)
-Taking APART the LR3 is a one-person job, but it helps to have two people during the assembly when you are putting the globe back together. One person to push the top of the globe down so you can align the holes correctly to place your screws.
-You are going to need a Phillips screwdriver. All screws are hand tight, taking off and putting back on, but if you want to use a small hand drill you sure can. I recommend not using a big drill in order to not accidentally strip out the screws on accident.
-I recommend whether you use a hand screwdriver or a drill to get one with a magnetic tip/ability. Some of the places you have to put screws are a bit tricky to get them lined into and it can be frustrating dropping them over and over
-There are two "in disguise" screws on the front with a white "plug" on them. You can pry these OFF with a flat screwdriver. These are pointed out in the disassembly video.
-DONT TOUCH THE GREEN PART OF THE SENSOR! This is also pointed out in the disassembly video
-The BLACK SCREW that goes in the liner! It has a nut attached to it (I said I lost it in the video, but I had actually just misplaced it) just don't lose this nut when you take out this screw!

This is the only video I've seen where someone removes the inner plastic thingy with the plastic mesh on it. I need to do that becuase I can clean the inside thoroughly but stinky litter is still stuck under that thing. I cannot figure out how to remove it. Honestly, If I can remove it I dont think I even need to take it out of the globe- I just need to clean under it.
Q: Are the only screws you need to remove it are the 4 around the that hole/window? I usually clean it in my tub- but now that it's warmer I can do it outside....except the hose water will be ice cold and I typically will soak the inside of the globe in hot hot water when I clean it.

Your nut goes on the inside and the screw goes up into it. At least that's the way it was when i got it. I just replaced the liner.

I connected the cover inside to the top piece before I assembly bottom and top of egg together.

@@CKArts.studio6 Yes the mesh part would be much easier to install into the top before putting the globe back together.

Does anyone know the position of the 2 magnets within the 3 slots of the bottom globe under the rubber mat area. I took the bottom globe apart and they fell out. Not sure proper positioning of the 2 magnets within the 3 holes. Help please
