    first, this is an amazing video. I remember there. The side and back door .We had to tie fluorescent tape on the bindings on the skis and run that up the leg far as once you lot a ski that tape was all you had to find it. That was the late 80's and the worst snow season sunshine had. still great times though

    I hope no one ever has to give me the advise you gave at the 5:20 min mark. “ Make sure you get enough speed to clear the rocks”!

    I think they pull your pass for the canyon cliffs now I might be wrong

    • @lopht12
      @lopht12  ปีที่แล้ว

      that's too bad. I always thought they'd pull your pass on areas marked 'closed' areas but not OOB or roped off

    I am sorry but if you don't land the jump, then it is just falling off a cliff. Props for the guts it takes.

    which is the one in goats eye?

    • @lopht12
      @lopht12  ปีที่แล้ว

      The only one I can think of that's on Goat's Eye is Eagle Creek? That's usually pretty hard packed...

      I seem to have pretty bad luck with the Far Side, but under the right conditions they could be a lot of fun!

    How do you get to the fist one?

    • @lopht12
      @lopht12  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Standish Cliff? Come down Prune Pickers Pass. Before you head down to the little hill to Showboat, there is a wide path on the left that goes up the mountain for 20m or so. Follow that and you'll see a path that leads into the trees.

      lopht12 I was wondering about that one also but I meant the very first one on wawa

    • @lopht12
      @lopht12  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh sorry. Turn right off of Wawa, traverse for 3 mins and head down towards the 'cliff' sign then towards a small clump of trees which is the top. You can see it on your right as you head up the lift.

      You're right, I did. When the sign says cliff... it means it. Super-flat landing though, not sure I'd recommend it.

    Pretty damn good, for an old fart. I ride sunshine weekly and have hit most of these. I know a quicker way to the upper canyon cliffs... You don't need to hike at all. When you go out back door you need to stay high and to the right and it will lead you right to them... Well kind of. But I ride right up to it and that's on a snowboard.
