Sasuke has been a defender of the shinobi world and konoha for a decade and without him it would have been completely destroyed at least three times. The half meteor coming down to destroy konoha. Momoshiki's attack at the chuinin exam, without Sasuke, Naruto would have just got his chakra drained and probably died then the world would have been done, and the entire ishiki situation. Sasuke was a key player in taking him down. I think he redeemed himself plenty after the war.

The ten-tails itself has the rinnegan. The claw grimes are made by pinching off parts of the ten-tails via Code's claw-marking ability. It would make sense that there are some claw grimes containing the eye pieces of the original ten-tails.

This would be a very insulting end to Sasuke and would make a lot of fans angry. I think it's more likely that more claw grimes will awaken Rinnegan on their own and that it's due to yet another method of awakening one exclusive to the ten tails. Perhaps ten tails chakra + human chakra (i.e., Code's chakra that he used to form the claw grimes) is what's needed for a Rinnegan in this case. The original superior claw grime we saw is probably blown in half from Kawaki's explosion, but there will be more like it.
If that's not susuke then at least now we know how he's going to get his eye back 😂
that would actually be a really cool way to reverse the nerf on Sasuke. He gets a literal ten-tails eye. Him and Naruto can still be the strongest human shinobi, and Boruto/Kawaki can keep their otsutsuki power levels.

And when his boroshiki destroyed his eye and Sakura confirmed he no longer had the chakra from it he said "a ninja fights with the tools they are given" I don't know that it would work for his character to pull a madara

And yes they where made bit differently but what's so surprising that some of these things that were made in inferior way start to show similar traits. The eye is located within the claw mark, so even if the clawgrime dies I don’t see why the rinnegan can’t js zip out of there. A rinnegan that can be amongst any of the thousand clones sounds like a great fighting plot point.
Here is a theory, what if the threat of the ten tails that Boruto was talking about wasn't about what happened in the fourth great shinobi war but was instead about the ten tails evolving to have their own personality. Given the fact that the Rinnegan eye appears on the claw mark on the claw grime, it is possible that due to Code's altering of the ten tails it has begun to obtain free will. I suspect that more of these Claw Grimes will begin to talk and fight independently and Code will no longer be able to control them, hence why Boruto was so adamant that Code brings him to the main body before it's too late.

@Maho, that would put their characters to good use and possibly redeem the Boruto franchise with giving us a Madara leveled threat.
The only problem I have with this theory is if Clawgrime=Sasuke, then one would expect it to have sharingan as well. And if the answer to that is that code took the sharingan for himself, then I ask why take sharingan over rinnegan?
I can see maybe the rinnegan was damaged, so it needed 10 tails to heal, but what about after?

Didn't people 'affected' by Rinnegan (different Paths of Pain, a bunch of Jinchuuriki that Naruto and Killer Bee fought in the beginning of 4th Shinobi War) - when shown on screen - POSSESS Rinnegan-like eyes? Maybe the Frieza-like 10 tails guy is the same? Like this isn't his Rinnegan, but this is a Rinnegan of someone else.

Yes, the method that Nagato and Obito used reflect the wielder's eyes onto the corpses they controlled, despite them not actual having that eye. This method and the fact that the tentails has a RinneSharingan are ACTUALLY the most likely reasons that clawgrime has a rinnegan. Why everyone only expands on the idea of Sasuke being a zombie now is a mystery to me.
I don't think people are thinking he's a zombie...just that he was either turned into a ten tails soldier or his eye was taken...But maybe he did get killed and then his body was used...Just let people create theories, they do not affect you in any way@@izitest2785
@@lemonzef at this point that could honestly mean any number of things. We already know that somehow in this planet there was not only stronger Otsutsuki than Kagya but also the body of strongest Otsutsuki in history during the events of Naruto. We know that one human scientist, in relatively short amount of time learnt how to at least implant and extract Otsutsuki abilities, maybe to even manipulate and reverse engineer them to some extent. We know that he learnt to create clones and androids stronger than Otsutsukis. I think we're kidding ourselves if we keep acting that Rinnegan is still something completely exceptional when we have artificial human with literal Omnipotence. So if Kishimoto wants to introduce new big player with access to Rinnegan imo it won't be any more outlandish than anything that's happened so far in Boruto. To me this teasing about the Otsutsuki god and true nature of ten tails also hints that the story's soon gonna re-contextualize both and that includes dojutsu derived from Otsutsukis.
There's also always the possibility of new Otsutsuki entering to the story during timeskip. After all, this is the planet that hosts body of their strongest member and has now taken lives of 4 or 5 of their members. That's definitely more than enough reason for them to become curious about what's going on and also for next one of them to try to different approach since clearly raw power isn't enough to conquer this planet anymore. Code would also love nothing more than have a chance to work under them so to me Otsutsuki using him as a pawn seems like one of the more logical developments for the story, especially since Boruto and presumably Kawaki are now stronger than Code.
Nagato was projecting the rinnegan thru the paths of pain and same with obitos paths of pain. The black rods they use allow them to do it. Sasuke could technically do it i think but idk
Sasuke is not the clawgrime. It’s not a coincidence that code has his left eye closed and the clawgrime has his left eye open. Code might have a rinnegan and is using his closed eye to see through the clawgrimes POV similar to gaara using the technique to hold 2 fingers over one of his eyes and is able to use a sand eye for recon or similar to the pain’s technique to use there eyes to see through each of the pains POV. I do not think for one second that sasuke is at all the clawgrime.

Sasuke has already repented for his sins, without him 4th great ninja war wouldn't have ended, he choose to lose his one hand, became the shadow hokage, protected the village from external threats and was alone researching on otsushuki's. Even without the rinnegan he is still the 2nd most valuable person in the village. If someone like Orochimaru can get scratch free then saying Sasuke still needs redemption is stupid.
I would not go so far as to say it's Sasuke, albeit that's an interesting direction to take within the manga's lore.
I believe it to be a simple display of an ever growing creep of intelligence potential within the clawgrimes themselves.
As in, the upgraded grimer could "smell" the otsutsuki on Kawaki and was making a remark, like it had finally found the meal it was waiting to catch.
There is another option. The claw grime may have a Rinnegan because it was being controlled by another Rinnegan user, the way Nagato controlled the six paths and Obito controlled the Jinchuriki. That would mean the claw grime's Rinnegan was only a projection, not the actual Rinnegan eye. So the real question is who was controlling that claw grime?

A tentails inherently has a Rinnegans, the soldiers made out of a ten tails body could obviously evolve to develop a variety of abilities, including Rinnegans.

I think it is interesting that the claw grime's Rinnegan mirrors Sasuke's, but it's similar to killing off Sasuke during the timeskip. It would just be smarter to show it actually happen. Have him lose a cool battle, imply Code is doing something to him and THEN reveal the claw grime with a Rinnegan in a later chapter.
And even then this setup would be best suited for a fakeout.
I highly doubt a clown like code would be able to kill sasuke let alone enslave him when he hasn’t won a single battle

I think Code has Sasuke’s Rinnegan in his eye and the clawgrime we saw was just him peaking through his claw mark with his Rinnegan eye. He did it with his regular eye in ch 72. And now code presumably is missing a left eye, that just seems like too much of a coincidence to me.

A thought of how Sarada's story could play out since Nick mentioned it. It would be cool to see Sarada wanting to chase after Code for 'killing' Sasuke (regardless of if he died or got absorbed by Clawgrime). It would be a way to give her a purpose in the plot, even if it is just the b-plot, as the people who were around to hear all of the 'Uchiha curse of hatred' stuff in Shippuden would be scared to see the last Uchiha fall victim to reopening that curse, becoming a woman vs self conflict for Sarada about her philosophy about revenge.
The result of that inner-conflict could pull some plot no jutsu to give her (#-tomoe) rinnegan when she ultimately conquers the hatred, letting her follow down the same path as her idol Naruto, who also conquered revenge around a rinnegan, which could make her ~mainplot level for the final fight.
It would also keep Kakashi relevant to the plot as he could try to right his mistake with Sasuke by being there for Sarada, and ngl I'm starving for Boruto-era Kakashi content.

I don't think it's Sasuke. Sarada needs some sort of Sharingan improvement beyond MS. There's no way a main character is going to have an end game of going blind, especially not when she's going to be Hokage one day. She also needs to learn a lot more about her clans history and abilities.

I mean I think Sasuke just randomly dying is a huge injustice to him, also being turned into the grime is too. But I’m sure Kishimoto will create Sasuke’s epic, emotional, and proper final stand. Also, it makes sense for some of his legacy to be left to Sarada, at the same time he will finally pay the grand price and repent for his sins as the hero and protector he has always been from the shadows.
I actually think this fight might lead into the fight Kawaki and Boruto have on the Hokage monument real soon... with those two up there while Code and Sarada are down in the village duking it out...
Since Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of 1/4th otsutsuki with their chakra and the ten tails eats otsutsuki then imagine if the series has both Naruto and Sasuke purposely let themselves be eaten by the ten tails to change it.
Maybe even give it a conscious with their personalities/beliefs overwriting it’s blank state while leaving the world to next generation. Naruto being the one to shape the ten tails into a force of good with him and Sasuke’s souls would be a wild ending

Sasuke being alive is far better than being dead because it means he can still be saved. Sasuke didn't get off easy, he changed. He deserves to live a good life unmanipulated and guided by his love rather than his hate. For now though he appears to continue being manipulated and hating them there Otsutsuki.
Yea I agree with a lot of these guys. The ten tails has rinnegan and I makes sense for them to have it. The white zetsu came from the shell so I can see why they would also be inferior to the clawgrimes.

Theory: Sasuke purposefully let himself get changed into a claw grime so his rinnegan would be come back fully healed. Then thru ninjutsu via Boruto and Sarada, he will be brought back as six paths Sasuke!

I also think death, especially offscreen death is worse than being a Clawgrime. Eespecially when there's a chance to reverse the effects somehow. I honestly doubt Sasuke's the superior clawgrime. Code prolly captured him to use his chakra to try and create more superior clawgrimes.

Is no one going to talk about how the black side of the superior claw grimes face, is also how Sasuke’s hair was? How it covered his rinnegan eye? Honestly, I think the logical thing is, Code wouldn’t kill Sasuke. He would use him. I think he has Sasuke tied up somewhere and is making claw grimes that are basically clones of him.
Think about it. It would retain the things a Superior claw grime would need from Sasuke. Like mini bosses. They would have his battle prowess and visual prowess. But it likely isn’t easy making a Superior grime. So the production is probably slow and drains Sasuke if his chakra every time one is made. My own theory.

I just want to point out that if we are talking g about obtaining blood to make a Rinnegan, and that all it takes is any blood to create it-provided it comes from Sasuke and Naruto- we need to look no further than the Valley of the End.
At the end of their battle, sasuke and Naruto lay next to each other and their blood mixes on the rocks.
If any blood, no matter how old, is needed then you could find plenty of blood at the valley of the end to meet your needs.
I personally believe that the “transformation” on the 10 tail clones is just the claw marks that are infused in them. If I recall codes claw mark are a shinjutsu or created by using shibai’s dna with codes meaning that they come from an Ōtsutsuki. I think that the ten tail clones are reacting with the claw marks that come form an Ōtsutsuki’s are making them self aware and giving them more abilities, and there just started to awaken them because this is the first experience of actual combat.

The clawgrims transformations is that they will adapt to who/what ever they consume so any of yhe leaf villagers who got eaten and the grime wasn't killed off will humanise and gain things from that person

so where has there been anything that points out that theres more then one claw grim that has a rinnigan and the whole if its a man made one whats stopping code from just giving all of them rinnigans or alot more they just one and going off how strong a ten tails is id assume if theres only one with a rinnigan that if it has that much chakra to have one rinnigan why not two or a red one or even a 6 tomae rinnigan

Since the clawgrime, has the claw mark on his .. head, and in a way that is covering most of it... and Code and also the clawgrimes can manipulate the teleportation via the claw marks... Isn't it possible, that Sasuke is indeed alive, and his left eye healed (by medical ninjutsu or 10 tails chakra), but also being manipulated and not turned into clawgrime .. but instead have a claw mark on his head covering the left eye, but most probably the right one too ? This way Code or the clawgrimes can use Saske's rinnegan via the claw marks (as we already saw it can teleport only parts of the body) or even his manipulated self to be more powerful ? This was a theory of mine, but i don't know how good it might be.
After some more thinking it makes even more sense, since Code himself can use it.. as he doesn't have right eye. And something more, this will be very tragic for Sasuke, if he is seeing every fight against his daughter.

My biggest question would be when? When did Sasuke get turned to a claw grime. The time skip is 3 years and 2 years ago is when code saw boruto last so If Sasuke was training boruto the whole time then he hasn't seen him either. But if he did kill him or turn him into a grime when he found them then did boruto get all the training he needed from Sasuke in a yea. Then why would he have to run from code ? So who trained boruto after Sasuke was gone? Kashin Koji? Or time travel to jiraiya?

the claw grime didn't have the rinnegan previous to being hit by kawaki it unlocked it after absorbing some of his chakra, or otsusuki dna from the contact

I think code has a rinnegan in his left eye and using the claw marks can transfer it amongst ten tails soldiers. the ten tail soldier didnt have the rinnegan all through it suddenly appeared around when kawaki showed up. its possible codes clawmark just made a rinnegan pop out of it just so he can view kawakis moves as he probably sees kawaki as a back up plan b option for if boruto didnt show up at konoha. cause he had no reason to be sure he was going to see boruto. as to how code got the rinnegan i think the ten tails has a rinnegan. its possible his modification could make the 10 tail spawn an eye similar to how it spawns body for clones. This rinnegan is also not seen to use any of the rinnegans abilities so they may just be eyes that code can look through to observe things as normally the soldiers dont have eyes. so he just transfers the eyes across claw grimes whenever he wants to observe something else and that could be why his left eye is still closed as im sure he could very easily have healed it with the technology available to him. similar to how gaara closed one eye in his defense ball when observing outside with the sand eye
