Overall good analysis, but one thing you missed about the 8th hokage: Shikamaru’s Sensei was.. Asuma.. the son of the 3rd hokage. Add in the fact that his hokage aid is the grandson of the 3rd hokage and the nephew (probably the closest thing to a son) to Asuma. So Shikamaru has placed himself right in the middle of a Sarutobi Sandwich; thus, the Konoha Nepo trend continues
Anyone else notice how the art just looks way better than before? Not just the fits but the shading looks better and the characters faces and bodies seem to have more expression than before
Could be that they got more/different people working on the new project, but more likely it’s just that they put more effort in first chapters since it is likely to be the first one some random new readers will see. The middle/end of a manga will only be read by people already invested, but first chapter (even of a sequel of a sequel) is more likely to be picked up randomly by new readers and needs to hook them in.
Why is no one asking the most important question, HOW IS SAUKURA HANDLING ALL THIS????? Her friends in Naruto and Hinata are assumed to be killed by their supposed "child", Her husband is aiding said "killer" of her friends, and I'm pretty sure her daughter has tried to convince her of Boruto's innocence but it's hard to believe and we don't know how she took the news. What's up with her???????

I feel like the simple explanation for Himawari is that she was actually affected by Omnipotence, but her feelings about Boruto are just her feelings for Kawaki.
That's exactly what it is. She tells team 10 that the person that saved her and her dad would not kill her dad but she's referring to Kawaki during the Delta attack. She was affected which throws more wrenches into the story than if she wasn't but it's clear she was. Why she was makes no sense because if it's not love for Boruto then what is it?
Or, her feelings for her brother are being combined with her thoughts of Kawaki that is turning into pure emotions. She's obviously subconsciously fighting the brainwash, it's because Boruto is her blood brother and connected spiritually, so she wants to help him, or better yet, compelled to help him. But the memories she has of "Kawaki" are being blended into one...
The brainwash was specifically that kawaki and Boruto swaps positions and that Boruto killed Naruto and Hinata. It'd be inconsistent for her to only resist the killing part and not the swap. Her partially resisting both would be more consistent IMO.
The only thing to debunk Code taking Sasuke's eye is that Sasuke's Rinnegan was his left eye. Momoshiki stabbed it and Sasuke didnt replace it, so he doesn't have a left eye to give to Code. Given Code was also injured in his left eye. Up to now in Naruto, we don't see people taking an opposite eye to replace the other that they lost (taking a right eye to replace the left).
I love the comparison between Naruto and Boruto returning to the hidden leaf. Naruto was welcomed with open arms and admiration. While Borutos return has him as a enemy that must be eliminated. The fact that they both left for 3 years to train with there masters???? Beautiful

I felt like that moment was written to show us that even though Mitsuki LOVED BORUTO, he still is trapped in the the power of Omnipotence.. That does two things.. The first is that everyone's theory on why Sarada and Sumire aren't effected by Omnipotence is probably incorrect, but the biggest is that Kawaki doesn't necessarily have to play along with the effects of Omnipotence for it to continue to be effective on everyone

Himawari in this chapter comes across as having indeed been immune to omnipotence, but also having simultaneously been gaslit by everyone she trusts to accept the role-reversal reality.

Something were missing. Pre time skip Himawari had a great bond with Kawaki. She really saw him like a brother figure. She now places that to Boruto, saying he probably aint like people see him. I think she is affected, but she is also Naruto's daughter and keeps trying to see the best in others.

I honestly think that Himawari being affected by omni-potence yet wanting to save Boruto is incredibly wholesome. It means that the way she care about Boruto now actually is the way she felt about Kawaki... and she just refuse to believe that Kawaki could have done something so horrible. She truely saw him as her other brother and fully trusted him. She's really Naruto and Hinata's daughter. Her heart is as pure and kind than both of them united. It kinda also show how incredibly wrong Kawaki was about no one caring about him.The fact that someone affected by omni-potence would still trust and care about him is incredible and show how loved he was without realizing it.
I'm a little surprised no one is talking about Amado. Like of all the people to break out of omnipotence, you would think he would be the most likely one. What is his state of affairs? Has he been enhancing Kawaki these past three years? How would he hide it from Eida?
I have a feeling he is affected because we see him among the people in the original panel (perhaps looking ominously at Sasuke), but he must have figured out some countermeasures to snap to reality.
So here's the problem with the Sasuke's dead theory - Sarada seems chill enough to have a conversation and out of the know of things with Code. Is there any way Aida doesn't see Code kill Sasuke? Is there any reason she doesn't tell Sarada about that?
She told Boruto and Sasuke that she wouldn’t track them until they come back to the village so she probably hadn’t bothered looking looking up on them.

I love this chapter. I wasn't the biggest fan of Sarada's design based on the promo but the Uchiha jacket goes hard, and I actually really like it for her personality now. She's like the punk rock/goth girl from high school that people are prone to misjudge on appearance and is a little intense but has a heart of gold, and I kinda like that for her.

Don’t you think that sasuke’s death is just too important of a fact to be done offscreen? It would be quite stupid of kishimoto to just eliminate him without using that scene. It could better be that due to a fight sasuke was severely injured and decided to just teach boruto and “retire”. At the same time in that fight code might have lost his eye, so he had to heal and decide to get stronger or create a bigger army
Well the first chapter of boruto two blue vortex seems to be kinda like a preview of what’s gonna happen later on in the show similar to how it was in the first episode of naruto shippuden. So I’m sure they’ll get into the details of Sasukes death. Honestly I’m hoping he’s not dead though :(

Yes however Naruto knew the whole story. He knew that obito was corrupted by Madara and knew that his parents truly cared for Obito even after being killed and revived. Himawari didn’t know that Kawaki was tortured by Isshiki and doesn’t trust anyone (such as Naruto) and naturally would think that Boruto (who replaced Kawaki) killed Naruto in cold blood. I think she is similar to Sasuke but a bit better. Obviously her mind has been warped by Eida, but I think that she has decided to not trust her memories or subconsciously decided to not trust her memories, like Sasuke when he was convinced by Sarada that his memories were warped by Eida. Either way, Himawari knows something is up, because she knows Naruto is alive, and if Naruto is alive Boruto is innocent and she is clearly smart enough to understand this. I also believe that if Minato hadn’t been revived and Obito wasn’t redeemed (in Naruto’s eyes) Naruto would have killed him or at least gotten very angry and charged him like he did with haku. Naruto does have a big heart but I don’t think he would comprehend the fact that the person who made him parentless and constantly hated by the village (I know that was Danzo who leaked the information but Naruto doesn’t know this, at least not until the start of the blank period) was standing there before him. When he believed Sasuke was killed by haku he went demon mode on him. Obviously Naruto was more consumed by hate at that time because Kurama wasn’t cooperative yet and was still a living embodiment of hatred, and by the time they separate obito from the Juubi Naruto has befriended Kurama and is not being fed hate from him, and I think Naruto would have just yelled and made a huge speech if he didn’t have Kurama when Sasuke was seemingly killed, because the reason Naruto attacked haku was because seeing Sasuke dead consumed him with so much hate that Kurama was partially released and Naruto gave into his hatred, and all of Naruto’s hatred was directed at haku for killing Sasuke. Point is, Himawari is probably going to be incredibly powerful, Shinobi or not

Just a theory I've always had but, while Sasuke was technically caught up with Omnipotence, maybe the reason he was willing to believe Sarada was also because he is Indra's reincarnation. He isn't technically Otsuski but has the chakra of a quarter Otsuski which makes him partially immune. Which is why he has doubts about his memories way earlier than the other villagers. And maybe if he still had his rinnegan, he would have shrugged the whole thing off. Kinda like how he still senses Momoshiki without it. By the way as a side note do you guys think Naruto would have been affected by Omnipotence given his six paths chakra?
no way naruto would've been affected, technically, he was a pseudo ten tails jinchuriki, he held a little bit of every tailed beast chakra, and still does besides kurama's chakra, which sucks its a massive nerf in ways, but again hes also ashuras reincarnate, which makes him the same as sasuke, which also makes naruto a pseudo otsutsuki he still also has sage mode, his so6p chakra, which gives him so6p's sage mode, which i doubt would have any affect on him, thats like saying it would affect hagoromo, which had a infinite creation of all things jutsu, Sun and Moon seals, (Yin, Yang) so no there is not a way in hell he would be affected.

I like the simple style of himawari, is simple, comfy and protective, all other female styles seems bare skin, no kunai, no pouches and loose jackets. If she gets entangled in wires like naruto in the valley of the end the double shirt and baggy pants can help her get loose but sarada is bare skin you wont need jutsu to damage her the wires would do that themselves.
My theories and something I don't understand in this chapter: Boruto fans might actually commit something horrible if Sasuke is dead especially in a timeskip. Sasuke is more loved in Boruto than in Naruto. Aside from that though, I think it would be cool if Sasuke managed to hurt Code with 1 EMS and 1 arm despite code claiming he is stronger than both naruto and sasuke. This could also prove that Sasuke is just way stronger than code if he was in his full capacity (both arms and a rinnegan). I don't think Sasuke is dead at most he is just gravely injured. If anything, I feel like hes gonna return with a power up (but im also a sasuke fan so). What I don't understand is how come shikamaru and rest of the villagers have no faith in Sasuke? Do they really think he is gonna betray the village again after he worked his off and spend years on his mission? I still wanna know how strong Sarada really is. Cause even in this chapter she is kinda in the back. I hope she somehow finds a way to stay on par with Kawaki and Boruto so it makes sense that she is the hokage. Also, Code is a real creep and I am surprised he even knows Sarada. He literally went, "Scream real pretty so he can hear you well". He also said something weird "It's FINALLY nice to meet you." Maybe I am looking into it too much. I think it would be better for Sarada to be upfront with Eida but I am not sure if she's gonna take it well. She, herself, might be wary of Sarada. Also, where df is Sakura, Kakashi and Tsunade? They fr just deleted the Naruto cast out of the Boruto world. I also realize I dislike Shikamaru cause he is such a hypocrite. He was willing to kill or fight Amado when his son had a bomb placed on his neck but when other people wanna fight or defend their loved ones he acts all righteous. I could never stand him from Shippuden.

He along with Sai blamed Sakura that she was the reason behind Narutos pain and how she didn't like him back and made promises with him which ended up into her trying to killing Sasuke and ended up nearly dying. Naruto said many times that he wants to save Sasuke for himself. They tried to plot against Sasuke behind Narutos back. During the war arc, everyone just accepted Sasuke because he was strong and could help them win the war rather than questioning his intentions (like Team 7 did) which ended up with Sasuke using chibaku tensei on the tailed beasts and nearly killing Naruto. Everyone always wanted Sasuke on their side just cause he was strong. No one really cared for him other than Team 7. This is happening in Boruto as well that everyone turned their backs on him cause he did one thing that they did not like.
Something i have seen literally NO ONE else mention is how on two separate occasions, in anime cannon episodes, they went through the trouble of saying the EXACT same line of dialogue to konohamaru that hinted at his upgrade in position. Both when isshiki tossed him aside in the village and when team 7 first fought kashin koji and kojima styled on konohamaru they said the same exact thing: “Is this the best a leaf jonin can do?”. Knew something big was in the works for konohamaru then and honestly his progression isnt done yet
Unfortunately I feel like there's a disconnect between what they tell us and what they show us with him. They tell us how cool he is, and outside of a few isolated scenes, he seems pretty trash. And it's not trash like "oh his opponents are too strong" it seems more like "1 or 2 attacks and he's being rolled"
Technically Shikamaru was taught by Asuma who was taught by hiruzen who was taught by Hashirama so wouldn't that still make him a student of the hokage and the nepotistic line?
I think the reason that Konohamaru is the new Hokage Aid is because the strengths of the 8th Hokage are different than any previous one. Hokages 1-7 were extremely talented in Combat from a strength POV, and the Aids that we've seen (especially Shizune and Shikamaru) were good at the intelligence part of things - paperwork, strategy, general knowledge stuff, etc. Shikamaru is good in combat, but as a tactician not a fighter. He's also good at the politician/paperwork stuff. So therefore making his Aid the guy gunning for the Hokage spot and was trained by the 7th Hokage, mastered the Rasengan, has Toad Summoning (potentially even trained as a Sage, wouldn't be surprised to see if that happened during the past 3 years) makes sense
If Sasuke had a penny every time a kid with Hokage ambitions wanted to bring him back to the village, he would have 2 pennies. Which isn't a lot, but it's strange it happened twice.
If Code does have Sasukes eye then that could give a reason for Sarada to get her EMS. She takes the eye out of love for her father and not wanting it to be used to hurt the village so she takes it into herself.
I really hope that the flash-forward scene where Konha is destroyed is soon, that would make the rest of the manga a mystery, which would be better for long-term tension
Poor Marada Uchiha. Spent the majority of his life planning for the eye of the moon plan/ infinite tsukuyomi, having a few back up plans just in case. But twenty-five years later, some woman shows up, with an even more powerful version of brain washing, which is less dangerous to the victims since they don't turn into white zetsu, and some are resistant/ immune to said brain washing. Ada seems to be the definition of "everything you can do, I can do better." To Marada.
It seemed like Himawari was in fact affected by Omnipotence but somehow not fully, as if she still had a gut feeling that 1) her parents were alive and therefore 2) Boruto didn't kill them. Adding the relationship she might fakely remember having with Boruto (which is actually the relationship she had with Kawaki) it could explain why she wants to help Boruto and doesn't believe he's really evil.
Ok… hear me out. Mitsuki loved Boruto so much that he was not affected by omnipotence. His murderous rage manifests around Kawaki because he knows what he did to Boruto. This explain why so much time was spent early on about how Mitsuki felt about Boruto. In addition, it expands on the arc when Mitsuki “defected” and became rogue while secretly undertaking his own covert mission to learn about the artificial humans. His goal is to stay close to Kawaki until he can make a move. And from what we know of Shikamaru, he may be working under the new hokage, who despite his feelings, see illogical cracks in the new reality.
I do really enjoy this theory and had something similar brewing in my head. Also possible that he is affected but being with boruto will confuse him and cause an internal conflict. But the bloodlust makes more sense to me if he actually was not affected by the omnipotence. He has seen boruto in danger before and has not been as heated as is implied here. Something has to be different in order to have this more extreme response.
Code was amassing his 10 tails army for the first year He didnt instantly spawn all of them, i think he was splitting them, growing them, splitting them… for 1 year, then tracking boruto for 2, and showed up now

Code couldn't have sasukes eye. His sharingan is in his right eye, and no longer has a left eye after losing the rinnigan. And code has a scar over his left eye, and if he took sasukes right eye it would have been shown as non uchiha can't turn the sharingan off as seen with kakashi.
I mean would it be that weird in Naruto with all the crazy easy eye transplants that someone could transplant a left eye into a right socket or vice versa?
Mitsuki betraying Kawaki is not an impossibility because we dont know 100% of how he was programmed by his father. Maybe some kind of genetic fail safe was progrmmed into him where he couldnt kill boruto even if he wanted to. But thats a whole other theory. Would love to see more of Boruto's summoning this time around too. He could take out some of Code's army
Sasuke not being there might just be because Boruto at this point is just way faster than him, especially with Momoshiki aswell. I think the "screaming" part Code said to Sarada, might be implying on his use of the Jougan and how he can hear "voices" through different dimensions and even teleport through them. (Seen in the Sumere Nue Arc, he had exactly the same feat) So if you see it that way, he might've heard Sarada and Code with the Jougan, then decided to instantly act and teleport to both of them, this would also explain why Boruto randomly comes flying out of the sky and why Sasuke might not be in this chapter (because he would arrive later, cuz he has to walk / sprint because his rinnegan is gone)
And here I am left her wondering about Kashin Koji. He has to be Checkov’s Shiriken right now right? But if he didn’t help with Boruto’s training then what? Also. . . I hope we get to see Kakashi and Sakura again. There seems to be less and less ways of them being useful since it seems they can’t even say fight Sasuke anymore.

A perfect Jiraiya clone who killed Jigen forcing Isshiki into a position where he could be killed and Kawaki made safe from being taken over. Nick’s theory was a good one, as you can’t just have a character like that disappear forever. Though there are many possibilities of how this can go. I would have expected him to appear to have been doing something during the time skip though
I wouldve thought that Shikadai wouldve been a good aide for shikamaru depending on how old he is. I mean shikamaru became the hokages aide relatively young. Im not mad at the connection with konohamaru though.

She’s still affected by the jutsu but just genuinely wants to help her adopted brother! So still a win win
Honestly, I see Sarada as more of the 10th Hokage than the 9th. It would add to the Naruto parallels, as both would have become Hokages after their mentors (Kakashi and Konohamaru) plus it would mean that both female hokage would be the 5th and 10th respectively. Which would be a cool thing, plus that said hokage was the teacher of Sarada’s mother
The story ending with her as Hokage would also really illustrate the growth of Konoha into what hashirama envisioned… from leaders like tobirama and danzo showing prejudice to uchiha to the first ever uchiha hokage… like hashirama had intended the first to be Madara
Theory: Boruto learned flying raijin with Sasuke during the time skip. Sasuke likely learned it in between Shippuden and Boruto . Sure he has the karma teleporting but it’s nowhere near as fast as and it’s too noticeable for battle
Afaik Sasuke never had Flying Raijin. He has an instant teleport but it's his Rinnegan ability to switch places (Amenotejikara), therefore not teachable. It's not impossible that Boruto learnt FR, as the chakra usage is said to be minimal (issue for Boruto and his 4 clones compared to the virtual infinite amount of Naruto or the 12 of Sasuke) and its a way for him to emulate Sasuke's fighting style with Amenotejikara

Every new character design was great... and then there was Inojin. I personally don't think Code has Sasukes Sharingan for the simple reason that every time someone took only one eye of a character, they put it into the exact same eyesoccet as they took it from. Codes scar is on his left side. Sasukes Sharingan was on his right side.
No Himawari is affected by omnipotentence, Boruto and Kawaki have switched places. So the feelings she has about Boruto is how she felt about Kawaki prior to the change. She was one of the first people to have a break thru with Kawaki originally and genuinely feels he is a good person. That’s why she wants to help Boruto in Part 2 since everything is switched.
I think Sasuke had to show his resolve 2 years ago. He was either killed by code or was mortally wounded. Momoshiki would be eager to turn him into a chakra fruit like he did Kinshiki. The boruto we see is a Sasuke fused boruto.

I just want to point out that Shikimaru is a character who does the job but doesn’t want the power. I identify with him. Yes with the position comes the power and prestige but Shikimaru know how much work and responsibilities come with the position. He is the kind of man who step up to assume responsibility because it’s the job that needs to get done; not because he wants it. I would confidently assume that he is taking position as Hokage, because he was Naruto’s second (administrative bodyguard?). Rather than being Hokage, his personality would better match a Steward, where he would step down once Naruto returned. He’s taken the position only to ensure no one takes it away from Naruto.
So I have two ideas: first that during the time skip Boruto learned Flying Raijin which is how he just appeared. I think he marked either Code or Sarada. I think he learned it from Tobirama or Minato by way of Edo Tensei. My second is a counter point to Code stealing Sauske's eye. I think he gave hie eye to Boruto after being mortally wounded by Code. That the reason he keeps his eye closed as to not drain chakra and because when it was implanted rather than being an always active Sharingon it evolved into an always active Jogon. I can see your theory about Himawari but I also think it's much more simple than that. She already considered Kawaki her brother before Omnipotence happened so her feelings about Boruto now are just her feelings about Kawaki. She wants to help Boruto because she loves him. All the Boruto Part 2 fits are mega drippy. One thing I disliked about the Part 1 designs was how simple and forgettable they were. These new designs are perfect for cosplay; they look awesome. I feel like the story has also taken a noticeable jump in quality, and this is just chapter 1. I reckon that ever since Kishimoto returned as the main writer and Kodachi left, Kishimoto was forced to wrap up Kodachi's future story direction ideas. Since the timeskip acts as a soft reboot, Kishimoto now has 100% writing control to take the story wherever he wants. I can't believe that the day is finally here. Boruto is great, and I'm actually excited for new chapters to drop.

No way sasuke could have held off code for enough time for boruto to escape. Code is as strong as jigen or even stronger then him and jigen shat on naruto and sasuke while they were at thier peaks of power. I think himawari was affected just like everyone else but you have to take into account when boruto and kawaki’s roles were flipped she was there when kawaki lost his arm trying to save her and naruto from delta’s beam. Could be that they got more/different people working on the new project, but more likely it’s just that they put more effort in first chapters since it is likely to be the first one some random new readers will see. The middle/end of a manga will only be read by people already invested, but first chapter (even of a sequel of a sequel) is more likely to be picked up randomly by new readers and needs to hook them in.

That's exactly what it is. She tells team 10 that the person that saved her and her dad would not kill her dad but she's referring to Kawaki during the Delta attack. She was affected which throws more wrenches into the story than if she wasn't but it's clear she was. Why she was makes no sense because if it's not love for Boruto then what is it?

The brainwash was specifically that kawaki and Boruto swaps positions and that Boruto killed Naruto and Hinata. It'd be inconsistent for her to only resist the killing part and not the swap. Her partially resisting both would be more consistent IMO.

The only thing to debunk Code taking Sasuke's eye is that Sasuke's Rinnegan was his left eye. Momoshiki stabbed it and Sasuke didnt replace it, so he doesn't have a left eye to give to Code. Given Code was also injured in his left eye. Up to now in Naruto, we don't see people taking an opposite eye to replace the other that they lost (taking a right eye to replace the left).

I love this chapter. I wasn't the biggest fan of Sarada's design based on the promo but the Uchiha jacket goes hard, and I actually really like it for her personality now. She's like the punk rock/goth girl from high school that people are prone to misjudge on appearance and is a little intense but has a heart of gold, and I kinda like that for her.

Exactly, feels like he had an idea in his head and jumped the shark with it lol. I took it as her feeling love for Kawaki before the swap and not believing the crimes now accredited to Boruto after the swap.
Also it could be different times he saved both of them, like Naruto when fighting Jigen/Ishiki and Himawari during Delta fight.
But either way, I believe she's subconsciously fighting the brainwash. I think her feelings for her brother are connected spiritually, so she wants to help him, or better yet, compelled to help him. And her memories she has of "Kawaki" are being blended into one. So her love for her "real" brother is overriding with pure emotions (or at least resisting the omnipotence flipped memories), while combining with the happy/familial positive memories of Kawaki, being misplaced all on Boruto. It's obvious she's not fully believing what she's being forced to remember/believe, to me it is at least.

Don’t you think that sasuke’s death is just too important of a fact to be done offscreen? It would be quite stupid of kishimoto to just eliminate him without using that scene. It could better be that due to a fight sasuke was severely injured and decided to just teach boruto and “retire”. At the same time in that fight code might have lost his eye, so he had to heal and decide to get stronger or create a bigger army
Well the first chapter of boruto two blue vortex seems to be kinda like a preview of what’s gonna happen later on in the show similar to how it was in the first episode of naruto shippuden. So I’m sure they’ll get into the details of Sasukes death. Honestly I’m hoping he’s not dead though :(

Yes however Naruto knew the whole story. He knew that obito was corrupted by Madara and knew that his parents truly cared for Obito even after being killed and revived. Himawari didn’t know that Kawaki was tortured by Isshiki and doesn’t trust anyone (such as Naruto) and naturally would think that Boruto (who replaced Kawaki) killed Naruto in cold blood. I think she is similar to Sasuke but a bit better. Obviously her mind has been warped by Eida, but I think that she has decided to not trust her memories or subconsciously decided to not trust her memories, like Sasuke when he was convinced by Sarada that his memories were warped by Eida. Either way, Himawari knows something is up, because she knows Naruto is alive, and if Naruto is alive Boruto is innocent and she is clearly smart enough to understand this. I also believe that if Minato hadn’t been revived and Obito wasn’t redeemed (in Naruto’s eyes) Naruto would have killed him or at least gotten very angry and charged him like he did with haku. Naruto does have a big heart but I don’t think he would comprehend the fact that the person who made him parentless and constantly hated by the village (I know that was Danzo who leaked the information but Naruto doesn’t know this, at least not until the start of the blank period) was standing there before him. When he believed Sasuke was killed by haku he went demon mode on him. Obviously Naruto was more consumed by hate at that time because Kurama wasn’t cooperative yet and was still a living embodiment of hatred, and by the time they separate obito from the Juubi Naruto has befriended Kurama and is not being fed hate from him, and I think Naruto would have just yelled and made a huge speech if he didn’t have Kurama when Sasuke was seemingly killed, because the reason Naruto attacked haku was because seeing Sasuke dead consumed him with so much hate that Kurama was partially released and Naruto gave into his hatred, and all of Naruto’s hatred was directed at haku for killing Sasuke. Point is, Himawari is probably going to be incredibly powerful, Shinobi or not

Just a theory I've always had but, while Sasuke was technically caught up with Omnipotence, maybe the reason he was willing to believe Sarada was also because he is Indra's reincarnation. He isn't technically Otsuski but has the chakra of a quarter Otsuski which makes him partially immune. Which is why he has doubts about his memories way earlier than the other villagers. And maybe if he still had his rinnegan, he would have shrugged the whole thing off. Kinda like how he still senses Momoshiki without it.
By the way as a side note do you guys think Naruto would have been affected by Omnipotence given his six paths chakra?
no way naruto would've been affected, technically, he was a pseudo ten tails jinchuriki, he held a little bit of every tailed beast chakra, and still does besides kurama's chakra, which sucks its a massive nerf in ways, but again hes also ashuras reincarnate, which makes him the same as sasuke, which also makes naruto a pseudo otsutsuki he still also has sage mode, his so6p chakra, which gives him so6p's sage mode, which i doubt would have any affect on him, thats like saying it would affect hagoromo, which had a infinite creation of all things jutsu, Sun and Moon seals, (Yin, Yang) so no there is not a way in hell he would be affected.

I like the simple style of himawari, is simple, comfy and protective, all other female styles seems bare skin, no kunai, no pouches and loose jackets. If she gets entangled in wires like naruto in the valley of the end the double shirt and baggy pants can help her get loose but sarada is bare skin you wont need jutsu to damage her the wires would do that themselves.
to be fair, Shikamaru was taught by Asuma, who is Hiruzen's son. Nepotism lives yet again!
My theories and something I don't understand in this chapter:
Boruto fans might actually commit something horrible if Sasuke is dead especially in a timeskip. Sasuke is more loved in Boruto than in Naruto. Aside from that though, I think it would be cool if Sasuke managed to hurt Code with 1 EMS and 1 arm despite code claiming he is stronger than both naruto and sasuke. This could also prove that Sasuke is just way stronger than code if he was in his full capacity (both arms and a rinnegan).
I don't think Sasuke is dead at most he is just gravely injured. If anything, I feel like hes gonna return with a power up (but im also a sasuke fan so).
What I don't understand is how come shikamaru and rest of the villagers have no faith in Sasuke? Do they really think he is gonna betray the village again after he worked his off and spend years on his mission?
I still wanna know how strong Sarada really is. Cause even in this chapter she is kinda in the back. I hope she somehow finds a way to stay on par with Kawaki and Boruto so it makes sense that she is the hokage. Also, Code is a real creep and I am surprised he even knows Sarada. He literally went, "Scream real pretty so he can hear you well". He also said something weird "It's FINALLY nice to meet you." Maybe I am looking into it too much.
I think it would be better for Sarada to be upfront with Eida but I am not sure if she's gonna take it well. She, herself, might be wary of Sarada.
Also, where df is Sakura, Kakashi and Tsunade? They fr just deleted the Naruto cast out of the Boruto world.
I also realize I dislike Shikamaru cause he is such a hypocrite. He was willing to kill or fight Amado when his son had a bomb placed on his neck but when other people wanna fight or defend their loved ones he acts all righteous. I could never stand him from Shippuden.

He along with Sai blamed Sakura that she was the reason behind Narutos pain and how she didn't like him back and made promises with him which ended up into her trying to killing Sasuke and ended up nearly dying. Naruto said many times that he wants to save Sasuke for himself. They tried to plot against Sasuke behind Narutos back. During the war arc, everyone just accepted Sasuke because he was strong and could help them win the war rather than questioning his intentions (like Team 7 did) which ended up with Sasuke using chibaku tensei on the tailed beasts and nearly killing Naruto.
Everyone always wanted Sasuke on their side just cause he was strong. No one really cared for him other than Team 7. This is happening in Boruto as well that everyone turned their backs on him cause he did one thing that they did not like.
Something i have seen literally NO ONE else mention is how on two separate occasions, in anime cannon episodes, they went through the trouble of saying the EXACT same line of dialogue to konohamaru that hinted at his upgrade in position.
Both when isshiki tossed him aside in the village and when team 7 first fought kashin koji and kojima styled on konohamaru they said the same exact thing:
“Is this the best a leaf jonin can do?”. Knew something big was in the works for konohamaru then and honestly his progression isnt done yet
Also when Team 7 was deactivated he got a special position to do solo missions on his own.
I think he is gonna master monkey sage and he’ll be able to summon the monkey king, really wishing for him to have his moment
Unfortunately I feel like there's a disconnect between what they tell us and what they show us with him. They tell us how cool he is, and outside of a few isolated scenes, he seems pretty trash. And it's not trash like "oh his opponents are too strong" it seems more like "1 or 2 attacks and he's being rolled"

I think the reason that Konohamaru is the new Hokage Aid is because the strengths of the 8th Hokage are different than any previous one. Hokages 1-7 were extremely talented in Combat from a strength POV, and the Aids that we've seen (especially Shizune and Shikamaru) were good at the intelligence part of things - paperwork, strategy, general knowledge stuff, etc. Shikamaru is good in combat, but as a tactician not a fighter. He's also good at the politician/paperwork stuff. So therefore making his Aid the guy gunning for the Hokage spot and was trained by the 7th Hokage, mastered the Rasengan, has Toad Summoning (potentially even trained as a Sage, wouldn't be surprised to see if that happened during the past 3 years) makes sense
If Sasuke had a penny every time a kid with Hokage ambitions wanted to bring him back to the village, he would have 2 pennies.
Which isn't a lot, but it's strange it happened twice.
If Code does have Sasukes eye then that could give a reason for Sarada to get her EMS.
She takes the eye out of love for her father and not wanting it to be used to hurt the village so she takes it into herself.
I really hope that the flash-forward scene where Konha is destroyed is soon, that would make the rest of the manga a mystery, which would be better for long-term tension

Poor Marada Uchiha. Spent the majority of his life planning for the eye of the moon plan/ infinite tsukuyomi, having a few back up plans just in case. But twenty-five years later, some woman shows up, with an even more powerful version of brain washing, which is less dangerous to the victims since they don't turn into white zetsu, and some are resistant/ immune to said brain washing. Ada seems to be the definition of "everything you can do, I can do better." To Marada.
It seemed like Himawari was in fact affected by Omnipotence but somehow not fully, as if she still had a gut feeling that 1) her parents were alive and therefore 2) Boruto didn't kill them. Adding the relationship she might fakely remember having with Boruto (which is actually the relationship she had with Kawaki) it could explain why she wants to help Boruto and doesn't believe he's really evil.
Imma say it. Boruto has either the shinjutsu from which it is derived, or the flying raijin, and has a marking on Code.

Ok… hear me out. Mitsuki loved Boruto so much that he was not affected by omnipotence. His murderous rage manifests around Kawaki because he knows what he did to Boruto. This explain why so much time was spent early on about how Mitsuki felt about Boruto. In addition, it expands on the arc when Mitsuki “defected” and became rogue while secretly undertaking his own covert mission to learn about the artificial humans. His goal is to stay close to Kawaki until he can make a move. And from what we know of Shikamaru, he may be working under the new hokage, who despite his feelings, see illogical cracks in the new reality.
I do really enjoy this theory and had something similar brewing in my head. Also possible that he is affected but being with boruto will confuse him and cause an internal conflict. But the bloodlust makes more sense to me if he actually was not affected by the omnipotence. He has seen boruto in danger before and has not been as heated as is implied here. Something has to be different in order to have this more extreme response.

Code couldn't have sasukes eye. His sharingan is in his right eye, and no longer has a left eye after losing the rinnigan. And code has a scar over his left eye, and if he took sasukes right eye it would have been shown as non uchiha can't turn the sharingan off as seen with kakashi.
Maybe since he’s otuski ( excuse my spelling) he can turn it on and off whenever he wants.

Mitsuki betraying Kawaki is not an impossibility because we dont know 100% of how he was programmed by his father. Maybe some kind of genetic fail safe was progrmmed into him where he couldnt kill boruto even if he wanted to. But thats a whole other theory. Would love to see more of Boruto's summoning this time around too. He could take out some of Code's army

Honestly who knows, in that first chapter it seemed like mitsuki was having doubts about kawaki actually being the Sun to his moon.
Sasuke not being there might just be because Boruto at this point is just way faster than him, especially with Momoshiki aswell. I think the "screaming" part Code said to Sarada, might be implying on his use of the Jougan and how he can hear "voices" through different dimensions and even teleport through them. (Seen in the Sumere Nue Arc, he had exactly the same feat) So if you see it that way, he might've heard Sarada and Code with the Jougan, then decided to instantly act and teleport to both of them, this would also explain why Boruto randomly comes flying out of the sky and why Sasuke might not be in this chapter (because he would arrive later, cuz he has to walk / sprint because his rinnegan is gone)
And here I am left her wondering about Kashin Koji. He has to be Checkov’s Shiriken right now right? But if he didn’t help with Boruto’s training then what?
Also. . . I hope we get to see Kakashi and Sakura again. There seems to be less and less ways of them being useful since it seems they can’t even say fight Sasuke anymore.

Honestly, I see Sarada as more of the 10th Hokage than the 9th. It would add to the Naruto parallels, as both would have become Hokages after their mentors (Kakashi and Konohamaru) plus it would mean that both female hokage would be the 5th and 10th respectively. Which would be a cool thing, plus that said hokage was the teacher of Sarada’s mother
The story ending with her as Hokage would also really illustrate the growth of Konoha into what hashirama envisioned… from leaders like tobirama and danzo showing prejudice to uchiha to the first ever uchiha hokage… like hashirama had intended the first to be Madara

Theory: Boruto learned flying raijin with Sasuke during the time skip. Sasuke likely learned it in between Shippuden and Boruto . Sure he has the karma teleporting but it’s nowhere near as fast as and it’s too noticeable for battle
Afaik Sasuke never had Flying Raijin. He has an instant teleport but it's his Rinnegan ability to switch places (Amenotejikara), therefore not teachable. It's not impossible that Boruto learnt FR, as the chakra usage is said to be minimal (issue for Boruto and his 4 clones compared to the virtual infinite amount of Naruto or the 12 of Sasuke) and its a way for him to emulate Sasuke's fighting style with Amenotejikara

I personally don't think Code has Sasukes Sharingan for the simple reason that every time someone took only one eye of a character, they put it into the exact same eyesoccet as they took it from. Codes scar is on his left side. Sasukes Sharingan was on his right side.

No Himawari is affected by omnipotentence, Boruto and Kawaki have switched places. So the feelings she has about Boruto is how she felt about Kawaki prior to the change. She was one of the first people to have a break thru with Kawaki originally and genuinely feels he is a good person. That’s why she wants to help Boruto in Part 2 since everything is switched.
I think Sasuke had to show his resolve 2 years ago. He was either killed by code or was mortally wounded. Momoshiki would be eager to turn him into a chakra fruit like he did Kinshiki. The boruto we see is a Sasuke fused boruto.

my only question about the Code taking Sasuke's eye theory is that it's his left eye that's slashed and Sasuke only has his right eye since his rinnegan got bonked, so does that mean you can transplant right eyes into left sockets and vice versa?

Is it just me or does it make anyone else just a little bit mad that he is in Naruto’s cloak it feels like he’ll just never fill his shoes
I just want to point out that Shikimaru is a character who does the job but doesn’t want the power.
I identify with him.
Yes with the position comes the power and prestige but Shikimaru know how much work and responsibilities come with the position.
He is the kind of man who step up to assume responsibility because it’s the job that needs to get done; not because he wants it.
I would confidently assume that he is taking position as Hokage, because he was Naruto’s second (administrative bodyguard?).
Rather than being Hokage, his personality would better match a Steward, where he would step down once Naruto returned.
He’s taken the position only to ensure no one takes it away from Naruto.
So I have two ideas: first that during the time skip Boruto learned Flying Raijin which is how he just appeared. I think he marked either Code or Sarada. I think he learned it from Tobirama or Minato by way of Edo Tensei.
My second is a counter point to Code stealing Sauske's eye. I think he gave hie eye to Boruto after being mortally wounded by Code. That the reason he keeps his eye closed as to not drain chakra and because when it was implanted rather than being an always active Sharingon it evolved into an always active Jogon.

I can see your theory about Himawari but I also think it's much more simple than that. She already considered Kawaki her brother before Omnipotence happened so her feelings about Boruto now are just her feelings about Kawaki. She wants to help Boruto because she loves him. Her feelings are only supported by the fact that she can still feel Naruto.

Boruto definitely learned Flying Thunder God and marked Code. He can legit just pull up on Code at any moment.
There is no way that Sasuke got an off screen death. It doesn't make sense, Sasuke is way to important of a character to not get a big moment like Jiraiya did. If Sasuke is gonna die we're probably gonna have a hype moment. "Vegeta's final explosion"
All the Boruto Part 2 fits are mega drippy. One thing I disliked about the Part 1 designs was how simple and forgettable they were.
These new designs are perfect for cosplay; they look awesome.
I feel like the story has also taken a noticeable jump in quality, and this is just chapter 1. I reckon that ever since Kishimoto returned as the main writer and Kodachi left, Kishimoto was forced to wrap up Kodachi's future story direction ideas. Since the timeskip acts as a soft reboot, Kishimoto now has 100% writing control to take the story wherever he wants.
I can't believe that the day is finally here. Boruto is great, and I'm actually excited for new chapters to drop.

What do you think about Sarada being a genin, yet in the anime and somewhat in the manga we were told that she was the chunin of team 7.
Head Canon / Theory :- Shikamaru demotes Sarada because he is worried bout her
Chalk it down to the anime not being closely involved enough with the manga and the teams being seperate

Hear me out, sasuke could’ve held off code for boruto sacrificing himself in the process. but not forget sasuke might’ve used izanagi to fake his death if to say code showed up on boruto and sasuke. After said use of izanagi sasuke could’ve used his snake summon to bring him to orochimaru to have him healed and/or give him an eye sharingan or not. But this is where my theory runs out. Who knows if sasuke teamed up with orochimaru to find a way in bringing back naruto. But I’m just gonna leave this here

No way sasuke could have held off code for enough time for boruto to escape. Code is as strong as jigen or even stronger then him and jigen shat on naruto and sasuke while they were at thier peaks of power. Now sasuke doesnt even has rennigan so he doesnt even have any real hax abilities to stall for time against code.

But then again I never stated that sasuke was physically capable enough to BEAT code just hold him off, it would explain the disappearance of sasuke and boruto making it out alive regardless of how little time , defensively sasuke is well capable of being a punching bag if we include the will in defending boruto. Sasuke still has Amaterasu but I doubt kagutsuchi, he still has susanoo which he can coat in said Amaterasu flames and a lightning based chakra sword depending on when or if sasuke let boruto take his sword .
I strongly belive that if chapter was released with a single badly drawn panel of Sasuke death he would decleare it to be the greatest chapter in manga history
I love how the designs of the characters reflects modern-day Japanese clothing styles that you would see somewhere like Shibuya
i like the idea of code having sasuke's eye, but for most that replaced an eye we've seen it be replaced by the eye of the same side and code's is on the opposite side of the remaining eye sasuke had, not sure if that matters or not though
That's exactly what I thought. Sasuke lost his Rinnegan, which was his left eye and that's where Code has his scar. I think he was injured and that's about it.
Maybe Sasuke slash Code's eye and code took his (sasuke)right eye and put on left side😂

1. Why wouldn’t shikamaru be hokage? Remember Kakashi never wanted to be hokage..so it doesn’t make sense to force him back in that position and Shikamaru does have the most powerful brain in the village…so technically..he’s the most powerful ninja in the village.
2. Why doesn’t anyone ever mention that Sasuke has a lab full of sharingan?
I think himawari was affected just like everyone else but you have to take into account when boruto and kawaki’s roles were flipped she was there when kawaki lost his arm trying to save her and naruto from delta’s beam. So in her mind, boruto lost his arm trying to save her and naruto from delta which is why she said someone who would protect them like that wouldn’t kill her father
what if sarada and the other girl could resist the charm and mind jutsu because they were part otsouki as indra and adhura where half meaning there reincarnations where half and if you got hasiramias cells to get wood realse then that's otsotsuki chakra and as the daughter of indras reincarnation Sasuke she has otsotsuki blood to

To clear this up it's stated Isshiki was able to store people in his dimensions however he was limited in power n Life to jigen v2 abilties So he could use a lot of his abilities just at a low level
the most shocking thing to me is that Sarada never thought to try & be friends with Eida & Ignore shikimaru's order of secrecy...... Like, shes the only single person maybe able to help her in her current predicament.... why take shikimarus side... why not become literally the clossest person to her, to get her on your side instead of kawaki... completely saw Eida not being against them... after all shes only wanted their friendship from the begining.... & i imagine Kawaki isnt the best boyfriend
