    Something to consider: If you reverse the seating/drive arrangement, having the elevated section of track at the rear, and your weight focused there, you might be able to get it to climb stairs with you, you just have to do it butt-first.

    Add retractable spring loaded wheelie bars so you can still climb stairs and hills. Add retractable casters to the front so you can turn easier on hard surfaces without stressing the motors and causing excessive wear to the treads.
    Cool machine though!!! 👍👍

It's always unnerving for the rider though. Your safety is totally in the hands of someone else at that point, nothing like an elevator.

    Me and my buddies built a potato cannon when we were in high school 25y ago.
    We had the smart idea of a buddy going out on a small sail boat on the lake. An once that buddy was out about 100 yards or so. Starts yelling that we can't hit him. First shot missed. Second shot did not miss and hit him about 2in to the right of his manhood. We laughed as he fell into the water. Buddy came back to the dock a few minutes later and the spot where he was hit started bruising already.
    The next day it was about the size of a softball and black in color. It was there for about 2-3 weeks.
    We learned right then dont shoot at each other with potato cannon. So then we built a 2 story beer bong instead. That didnt go so well either but made us laugh seening the other people puke from the 5 or more beers it held.
    Ahh, high school was fun. Lol

    • @saveitforparts
      @saveitforparts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha! Glad your friend and his junk survived! Reminds me of a story about my grandpa and his brothers. Grampa built a black powder cannon in shop class (back when that was OK!). They had one ball bearing that would fit, so they told the youngest brother to ride his bike down the block and watch where it landed so they could re-use it. Cannon was fired, brother comes biking back and says it whizzed past his head too fast to find it! Fortunately they stopped shooting near eachother after that. I still have the cannon, I should make a video on it!

    • @2dogsmowing
      @2dogsmowing ปีที่แล้ว

      @saveitforparts . Now that's insane. Lol
      But my buddy was bound and determined to lose at least one in the man sack. Running through the woods playing capture the flag in scout summer camp one year. High school age still. A stick got mad and jumped up into one side of the man sack. Same buddy, running through the woods playing capture the flag again in scout summer camp, at night. I'm chasing him laterally about 25 yards apart. He gets clothes lined with feet straight out 3ft in the air. The funniest damn thing I've seen in my life still. I'm yelling asking if he is OK and laughter so hard at the same time. He's a buddy that I've known since kindergarten. Same buddy cut off part of his thumb carring plywood onto a roof. Doctor put his thumb in his palm. Like fold your thumb down to your palm. But it was held there to heal with stitches. For 2-4 weeks.
      Good friend just slightly accident prone. Lol

  • @QUIX4U
    @QUIX4U 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Everything was OK up until 15:45 & then?
    Things went all to hell.
    OK - so?
    Try this..
    Rebuild the "tank" by facing the BODY of it, the other way on the skids - so that to "climb stairs" (in order to allow you to have your "weighty" butt at the up-stair end). That way - the tracks themselves will be "driving backwards" - (whilst your tank drives forwards - with you at the back - running on the skinny end of the rubber-skids)
    OR..
    Fit sissy-bar wheels (to stop it overturning backwards - when pulling high-step "wheelies".....)
    P.S:
    Have any remote control "off-road-car" Tamiya spare parts - that you can modify as "stair climbers" whilst OUT of the tank?
    After all - if crane operators can operate their hi-lift booms remotely - why not remotely drive your tank up stairs..?
