I can’t believe I came across this TH-cam video. I wasn’t even looking for it. I have nearly this entire set. I have lots of duplicates too. This is nuts. 🤯
The reason the Mark Jackson #205 is so valuable is because the Menendez brothers (Eric and Lyle) are sitting court side to the far left of Jackson. Lyle confirmed that they attended the game a month after they murdered their parents and just months before they were investigated as the prime suspects. In case you don't know, they're both serving life in prison for the murders.
I checked the comments to make sure someone mentioned this. It was alluded to in the video that there was a lot more about this card to discuss, but he didn't mention anything. It is an iconic card.

The Sam Vincent card is awesome. That’s the one game that Michael Jordan had to wear an unnamed jersey number 12 because someone stole his regular jersey. Great videos glad I found the channel!
your video on this set last year is what got me to go through all my old boxes of cards. I have multiple copies of nearly all these cards. Which is pretty much the definition of said Junk Wax Era. It was fun going through them. No plans on selling or grading as the odds are against it being worth going through all that. But the point of collection cards as a kid is to go through memory lane later on in life. And that was beyond a fun experience.
If you ever decide to let them go I would gladly take them off your hands 😊 I just got my son into collecting cards and doing that I've actually became very interested in it lol
Seeing those packs takes me back to my dad, brother and I spending hours upon hours in card shops and shows. The smell came to me as soon as I saw the pack. Good times.

A lot of people don’t understand the lore of the Sam Vincent card. It wasn’t just because of it being MJ. That card is the only card ever made featuring Jordan in his infamous #12 jersey. Quick story, Bulls showed up in Orlando for just a regular away game and someone in the back had snuck in and stolen MJ’s game jersey. The only other jersey they had that he could wear was a generic #12 jersey with no name on the back. That was the game featured on this card, which is what drives the price of it up so high.
@@aceassn716 no, Jordan dropped 64 on Orlando in ‘93 during Shaq’s rookie year. Shaq and Orlando actually won that game too behind Shaq’s 29 points and unglodly 24 rebounds. But MJ’s jersey was stolen on Valentine’s Day of the 1990 season. So two different games.

That Mark Jackson card in the end is worth bucks cause of the two, young brothers sitting court side, hours after killing their parents. They were on the news.
The problem is selling these things. I have thousands of these cards from when a card store closed and the owner gave my brother and I cases of cards in the early 90's. I have cards from the 70's to the 90's. baseball, football, hockey and every marvel card, complete sets with checklist cards, but I have no idea how to sell them. I got my first real six-string Bought it at the 5 and dime Played it till my fingers bled It was the summer of 69 Me and some guys from school Had a band and we tried real hard Jimmy quit and jody got married I should have known we'd never get far But when I look back now That summer seemed to last forever And if I had the choice Yeah I'd always want to be there Those were the best days of my life
Question, I have a couple of these but they're not worth anything unless graded 9 or 10 right? Is there a point in getting them graded? I guess I could do it if I thought they were 9 or 10??
How do I get my cards graded? I have that #2 Jordan and a few others.. I also have that same Jordan with a yellow surround instead of grey! Really curious as I have many old cards and I’m thinking of starting to sell them. Ty for any info!
That Sam Vincent is not only the fact MJ was in the photo. It's a crazy story. MJ got his jersey stolen before the game. MJ was so distraught about it he was even trying to see if a fan in the stands had a jersey he could wear. Ultimately no luck and the Bulls gave him a 12 jersey.
ok, how do you get the psa prices when they charge insane amounts to grade cards? Any card grading resources you'd recommend? Any sales outlets you would recommend?
There's the rub. You gotta wonder if the grading companies have ppl making these vids. You put out hundreds of dollars to get cards graded then have to hope you can make a profit.
I have a lot of these cards as well. Is it safe to say no matter the shape they are in if right off the bat it’s not perfectly centred , that it’s not a psa 10 or even 9?
That's correct and you have the right mindset for grading. I can't tell you how many comments I read from people that say they have these cards and they are in "mint" or "pristine condition" from their childhood. The truth is you can go buy a brand new factory sealed box and the majorty of brand new cards will most likely be PSA 7s-8s on centering alone. I've opened factory cases (20 unopened boxes) from the junk wax era and literally only found 10-20 cards worth submitting out of all 20 boxes

It would take years to even go through them all. I have sets with the bubble gum still in them.
You are sitting on a gold mine. The 1990 set of Marvel is going for big bucks online, if you have it do a search on EBay.
@@teefrankenstein4340 I have all of them complete with checklist cards, not one is missing from any of the sets. I'll see what I can find I've had them so long I never looked into it
@@2pink1stink 1990 Marvel I think the complete set is selling for thousands of dollars due to Marvel movie popularity. I watched a video recently and some of the individual cards of that set a worth money too. I have the 1993 set, haven’t looked it up yet but I’m sure it’s worth something too.
@@teefrankenstein4340 I am loooking at the 95 fleer set, 95, fleer spring break set, alternate-x set, lethal weapons set, and judgment day set. I don't know what others I have. these have been in one binder since the 90 in a box
I found a set of "double six" coca-cola domino's that looks super old I bet that's worth something lol. I have a 1980's snoopy snow cone machine still in the box but I can't imagine that's worth anything 😂
Where’s the David Robinson rookie card?
Didn't even mention the Menendez bros in the background? Creepy factor.
The mark jackson is popular because the menendez brothers are pictured in the background just after murdering their parents
My mom worked at a 5 and dime store back in the late 80s to 90s....she would bring me home boxes of the 1990 nba hoops and skybox card packs. I have multiples of every card on this list that have been in plastic sleeves since i got them. I have 5 of the #358 jordan, 5 of the mark jackson, 6 of the #65 jordan and 6 of the sam vincent...they have been in plastic sleeves and stored in plastic totes....i want to get them graded.
I got my first real six-string
Bought it at the 5 and dime
Played it till my fingers bled
It was the summer of 69
Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and jody got married
I should have known we'd never get far
But when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah I'd always want to be there
Those were the best days of my life

🎶 Back in the summer of '69! 🎶
I have all but the Isaiah. Back when I was 9 buying the 40 cent packs.
Congrats to 1 year!!!
I appreciate that and all the continued support Spencer!
I have every single card with an extra and some triples for each. I never thought of grading.
Is there a market for old Beckett's? just curious? like issue # 1,2,3. Football/Basketball
What’s so crazy is out 44 and had all these cards but didn’t know what I had!
Congrats on 1 year anniversary 👏
Thank you Armando! Have a great weekend my friend!
@@tenclubcards always enjoys your videos...keep them coming 👍
Great info & stats ❣️✌️
I remember these. I felt bad missing out on the david robinson jersey series the year before. I bought a ton and have the set. All worthless.
I have a Menendez Brothers (Mark Jackson) story....when Lyle came to prison they forced him to remove his toupee....he cried.
The grading companies are charging up the Ying Yang to get a card graded and apparently there's a large backlog.
Ah hell, I had to of those Sam Vincent cards back then.
ok, how do you get the psa prices when they charge insane amounts to grade cards? Any card grading resources you'd recommend? Any sales outlets you would recommend?
There's the rub. You gotta wonder if the grading companies have ppl making these vids. You put out hundreds of dollars to get cards graded then have to hope you can make a profit.
I have all these cards. Treasured em all these years. Bout to turn 40 in june
@@tenclubcards 10-20 wow that really puts it into perspective lol
Love how you give us the 9s.
