Doing this now to my daughter's 2014 sonic.was able to do it without taking the Radiator out with a side ratchet.. thanks for the video,really helpful!!
I’m guessing the radiator was already out for other reasons and made it easier to video. If you notice that car is kinda beat to crap and it only has 37,000 miles.
@@lloydbraun7729 dont get your hopes up for a fix on this. I did this to my daughter's car plus a whole host of other things like replacing the pcm,ecm ect and nothing fixed the issue.
She ended up trading that pos back to the dealer and getting her another car.
@@solidsnake6405 no worries. I was actually getting a different code. The input speed sensor was the culprit. I was just watching this video because the repair is a similar process. I didn’t find a video the specifically addressed the input sensor, all the ones I found were the output sensor. What I found during the process (today) was the sensor could have been malfunctioning but not necessarily bad. The sensor had a fair bit of metal shavings stuck to it that was probably causing it to get a faulty reading. I went ahead and replaced it anyways.
@@lloydbraun7729 dont get your hopes up im telling.when we replaced hers it would run a day or two just fine then start again.
We went from the Throttle body down to the trans,then the computers and never could find the issue.
The dealer we swapped it back to the tech had it for a month and never could figure out the cause.he found a gounded wire,rewired the harness and once again it ran fine for a few days and it came right back.
The dealer ended up giving up,giving her another car and scraping hers.

Hey My concerns is the digital speedometer go faster than the needle speed. I meant running slow and hit 40 in the needle and the digital show 60. What is worng with chevy cruze 2012 lt turbo

When you put the part back in after replacing the sensor, you have to make sure the gear selector on the top left goes through a pin looking piece. Video below shows you how it works

@@seandon5649 watch the video link I posted above, there is a pin that has to go through the gear selector, otherwise your transmission when you move the lever from park to drive won't move at all inside the transmission
I can't believe how fast that gets black. My sonic is the same way. I wonder if they just run hotter or something and it burns the fluid fast or something?

2013 Chevy Equinox with very low miles (10,300). Bought new just don’t drive it much and the stealership wants $1935 to change this. Damn it looks too easy.
