Vader also has beskar hands, instead of the durasteel like the rest of his suit, and he actually has an electrifying net-like blast attack built into them, to make up for his lack of force lightning, which he couldn't use without flesh hands. Then there's the physical strength not often seen with him being able to punch a large dent into a metal surface, and lift several hundred pounds without much effort.

@@creed8712 Well, he has in a few cases dented metal walls and a table, and in a canon comic he actually did beat a man to death with his fists, which looked very brutal and did more damage than you'd expect from a normal hand. It's possible to find cases where his beskar hands are used to do damage, but it usually just doesn't happen because he favors his lightsaber and force powers, which I would too if I had those things. There is mention that blasters can be stopped by the force, but I don't remember anyone actually blocking one with it, only a very rare occurence of freezing them temporarily.
Great video man. This is exactly the reason why Vader lost to Obi-Wan in the rematch because he was conflicted plain and simple. He wasn't fully enveloped in the dark side that's why palps sensed Anakin peeking through. Also vader was crying! That's Anakin crying. But in this new comics as your video shows the Marvel Disney comics he's an absolute powerhouse. i mean you can literally hear how low this guy's IQ is from the way he speaks. he said a character is "relative" to another character, as if it's a synonym for "comparable", rather than a synonym for "in comparison to". a native english speaker should know how the word "relative" is used in a sentence. and he said vader has reaction speed faster than light, even though reaction speed is a measure of time, not velocity. and he keeps using "tons" as a unit of energy when it's actually a unit of mass, although i imagine he means "tons of tnt", despite him not realizing it. and he wants to measure everything by energy (or mass?) even when other physical properties like power would obviously be more appropriate. this guy would do much better to simply list the feats and not attempt to perform any analysis, because he blatantly lacks the abilities to pull it off.
The only thing about the Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel at the end of episode 3 is that while yes, Anakin is stronger than Obi Wan but was conflicted, Obi-Wan was also emotionally unstable. To the point where he begged Yoda to fight the Emperor instead of Anakin. Not only that, but saying Obi-Wan knew Anakin's style flawlessly gave him an advantage is kind of null since Anakin also knows Obi-Wan's style just as well. They cancel each other out in that aspect During the Clone Wars, the general consensus was that Anakin had the edge in raw power but Obi-Wan has the edge in tactics/cunning and was relative enough to beat him. Also, with Anakin being conflicted, yes he was nerfed, but he wasn't nerfed compared to his beginning of Episode 3 self, he was nerfed compared to the massive dark side amp he got that shot him above Yoda and Mace If I'm not remembering wrong, the novelization said something along the lines of Obi Wan achieving a state of Oneness with the force in a similar way to what happened against Grevious while Anakin's dark side amps were growing

Also his suit is sort of a double-edged sword. It's pretty durable and his gloves can stop blasts and like you said fireproof and more, but on the other hand it's extremely uncomfortable but that works to his advantage and also its very weak to electricity, as Palpatine made sure if darth vader were to try to kill him, lightning would shut him down

I understand that pull to the Darkside and also to the Light. Extreme, trauma and of course abuse, etc, leads some, people to channel their, inner "Vader". That rage and hatred can be POWERFUL which I believe makes Darth Vader so, much, more POWERFUL than Sidious could ever, DREAM of being. He knew this, which is why he psychologically manipulated Vader to never challenge him, because Palpatine knew that the day Vader turned on him, Vader would DESTROY him. Anakin/Vader is only able to be defeated when he’s conflicted. If his mind is in the game though, lightside or darkside there’s no hope for his opponent. Anakin/Vader is emotionally vulnerable and can’t handle them as well as his jedi and sith counter parts. It’s his weakness, always has been.
Palpatine had to nerf his suit cuz even after mustafar if he gave Vader an amazing suit then Vader would've killed him right after the surgery. He even tried to in the comics but the suit was susceptible to lightning and Palpatine had him on a leash for that reason. Palpatine is a giant pussy

Post suit Vader is soooooo much stronger than pre suit Vader, idk why but people still seem to think that Vader got weaker after mustafar, but the canon comic he killed kirak infila without a lightsaber (which amps a force user) and when heavily conflicted (he almost died bleeding the crystal a day after he was so conflicted) and kirak is confirmed stronger than oneness boost obi wan, and mace. He only becomes leaps and bounds superior after that.
The correct way to say is Vader is more limited with the suit on. But his Force prowess and Lightsaber impact is far more powerful than he was pre suited. But of course, the suit limit is mobility, and that's it.

You can actually scale lightsabers at “Small Planet” Level but comparing the two lightsabers to Palpatine’s lightning which can shut down many, many large ships which can survive faster-than-light speed
I’m pretty sure this is canon and maybe you can correct me if I’m wrong but vader actually tried healing his injuries and when he did he felt much better and wasn’t in as much pain and wasn’t as angry so the light side grew within him and he was returning to anakin but when he did that he lost the ability to heal any more as he needed to be vader to heal himself so it just reverted back to his injured self
It’s not exactly a feat, but he also was born from the force which is quite unique and his son reached force highs he never did by being able to create a black hole.

That’s the things. Yes of course Obi Wan loved Anakin, but he gave up on him twice and very quickly. Luke never gave up that’s why he got him redeemed.

I thought the last rematch he and Obi-Wan had made Vader look a fool. If there is to be a second season, or perhaps some other show/movie set before Rogue One, I believe they have to make the Dark Lord threatening again
If they ended it with Obi-wan being buried alive by Vader, and Vader walks away seemingly triumphant then that would have been a logical ending to their duel. You can still have Obi-wan use the Force to escape, since he needs to survive long enough to teach Luke about the Force in episode 4. Vader's supremacy over Obi-wan was perfectly logical prior to his Super Saiyan power up after he escapes being buried alive. The overall problem with Obi-wan having that kind of power level is his lack of combat experience over the time gap. Vader has not just been training in the Dark side, but has been fighting a war against Rebels, therefore his combat skills are fresh and sharp. Even if Obi-wan had kept up with his training (which the show was stupid to say that he hadn't) he would still be rusty. This is to say nothing of the VAST wealth of Expanded Universe content where Vader has pulled off magnificent feats with the Force, some of which are even greater than what's displayed in the show. The majority of Obi-wan's appearances in the Expanded Universe kept him confined to Tatooine (which is where he should be) therefore he hasn't had any grand space adventures to sharpen his ability with the Force. The evidence for Vader being powerful is overwhelming, whereas the evidence for Obi-wan is close to non-existent.

I can't say I know as in-depth the knowledge as you've clearly just shown, because this is a very detailed and well done breakdown, but I do see a few things that were definitely left out in some capacity or another. Darth Vader was never actually taught by Darth Sidious, other than minor lessons, to prevent him from gaining an upper hand. At least to my knowledge, despite wanting Anakin Skywalker to one day surpass him, after his fall on mustafar, he didn't believe that Darth Vader could ever regain the potential he once had as the chosen one of the force Anakin Skywalker. For that reason, Darth Sidious never considered Vader good enough to surpass him, yet also never found anyone capable of surpassing even Vader. Anakin Skywalker, and likely Luke Skywalker, we're supposed to be the chosen ones with nigh unlimited potential, and though the potential of Darth Vader was still far more vast than that of any other known Jedi or Sith outside of Sidious himself, Darth Vader was not capable of ever regaining the potential he once held. Again, at least to my knowledge.
Anakins emotions were rampant uncontrollable in the duel on mustafar and his master knew his fighting style and anakin better than anyone which is what led to his defeat at the hands of obi-wan
Yeah, although Palpatine is superior to Vader, that's not even up to debate, but I strongly believe that Vader is more powerful than Palpatine. I have the facts to back this up. Just some thoughts is all...
George Lucas' opinion on Vader is that he achieved 80 percent of the power Palpatine had. In other words if Palpatine is level 100 in an RPG, then Vader is level 80. Still remarkably powerful, but not as powerful as he could have been. Given Vader's many spectacular Force feats across the franchise, I like to think 80 percent might be underselling it a little bit. But I think the most clear and convincing evidence that Vader was at least on par with Palpatine, or more like 95 percent rather than 80, is Palpatine's death scene. Palpatine releases a barrage of Force lightning that was far more potent than the lightning he was using to torture Luke, implying of course that Palpatine is pouring his maximum effort into that attack. Despite the agony that lightning must have been causing him, Vader continues to walk forward and throws Palpatine to his death. I think what this is implying is that Vader had the Force power to fight Palpatine on an even playing field, but it was his suit that was holding him back. Even if he succeeded in killing Palpatine, the lightning damage his suit would have sustained would have resulted in Vader's death anyway. That's why Vader needed an apprentice, so that Vader had an advantage that would reduce the likelihood of being fatally shocked by the lightning -- or at least the apprentice would be able to give Vader medical support after beating Palpatine. That's my take on it.
I'm not sure Vader scales above Yoda or Windu, maybe I'm still biased from Legends but it just seems like a reach to use those Tarkin quotes to make such a definitive statement. I'm not sure how Vapaad works in canon, but depending on legends interpretation, it's kinda a trump card against dark siders. And Yoda can fight against Sideous to a standstill - not sure I'd give that to Vader. Great video though, loved the breakdown overall and agree a lot. I might just not know enough of canon

Vapaad works completely differently in canon than Legends. Sidious gets much stronger over time in canon. He surpassed Yoda millions of times over by the OT. There are multiple statements that Vader > Yoda and Mace. I provided 3 in this video.
Legends is even better for Vader. Vader is stated by palpatine to be able to kill him. This is the same palpatine who already had control of force storms which tear into hyperspace. This is 5D. Most I can say for mace is that he’s possibly universal+ using Dooku pulling power from across the universe. Legends Vader is just too strong for the clone wars Jedi
While I appreciate the Darth Vader power wank, please don't go overboard with it. Star destroying and massively faster then light speeds aren't in any Jedi or sith's current power set. Saying that everyone including the normal people are faster then light because they react to blaster shoots is... Very questionable at best.
It’s a relief to know that at least Vader’s power scaling in canon improved in comparison to the EU. Here he tops all High Republic-era Jedi and all Jedi council members, while in Legends he is implied to be barely AOTC/Clone Wars-level character. Also, I kinda disagree with Sidious’s ability to destroy Universe in Legends. It sounds more like an exaggerated statement than something real.
The Obi-Wan fights really complicate things because within the lore and meta of SW Anakin has always been the superior duelist and force user compared to his master. But the ROTS fight does make them seem perfectly on par with each other on both accounts. There's very little indication in the movie that Anakin has an overwhelming edge on Obi-Wan that Kenobi has to noticeably compensate for besides being put on the backfoot by Anakin for most of the fight. Even within just ROTS, the scaling isn't logical at all. Kenobi got completely throttled by Dooku but dark side boosted Anakin (the same one Obi-Wan was more or less stalemating) easily overpowered Dooku. Not as conclusive but still telling is the fact that both Anakin and Palpatine seemed to think they were relative to each other which aligns well with putting Anakin above your average Jedi Master but not quite at the absolute upper echelon of force user. To justify Obi-Wan's performance, you really do need to nerf Anakin power-wise. There's no way a fully submerged in the dark side Anakin wouldn't immediately stomp Obi-Wan. Anakin's inner conflict had to bring him down several notches, possibly even making him weaker than he would have normally been as a Jedi knight. And that makes sense given the fact that Anakin had just taken part in a genocide of sorts; a genocide that included many of his friends and coworkers.
So ur saying it doesn’t make sense but it does? Like u said Anakin was seriously conflicted, almost split in two. The real Anakin/his light side did not actually want to kill Obi-Wan and was making him hold back so much more than people realize or is even visible almost at all, and Vader/his dark side was so blindly drunk on bloodlust from the genocide you mentioned, pure arrogance and recklessness, and an extreme obsession with besting his master that left him mentally imbalanced and uncontrolled and stripped him of pretty much any strategy whatsoever. So not only was he severely conflicted, which in and of itself is a massive disadvantage, but on top of that, both sides/ends of him that he was conflicted between were extremely disadvantageous themselves. Taking all that into account, as well as what the above user said about Anakin being far less polished and practiced with the Force because of starting at a later age and just his many extreme traumas in general, it is actually a wonder he performed nearly as well as he did, imo.
What’s more is that all of this is so hard to account for or discern that even and especially Palpatine actually had no clue why and how Anakin didn’t really stand a chance in the state he was in. That is saying a lot because at the same time, Palpatine of all people understands the importance of ruthless singularity in one’s intentions and mental control toward achieving any ends, as opposed to being as conflicted as Anakin was, because of Palpatine’s extreme Dark Side immersion. However, Palpatine lacked empathy so greatly, if not completely, that he could not possibly have understood exactly how difficult the inner conflict and all its implications were for Anakin/Vader at that time, if he could have ever even wanted to imagine such a pitiful antithesis of the full fledged, pure Dark Side apprentice he had wished for so desperately. He could only merely grasp the vague notion that something was amiss with the Mustafar situation when he said “I sense Lord Vader is in danger”
i find also the fact interesting that sidious kept Vader with his suit at ca. 80% of his power what if ca. 50% of the posible power Vaders could reach if he is completely restored(that could be posible with a clone of Vader so Vader can reattach his lost limbs from the clone and getting a new suit as the current one was desinged by darth sidious to limit him)
I'd also like to point out that palps was drawing on the energy of the planet of exogol while facing Vader. Additionally, while Vader had a tiny but of more raw power than palps, palpatine was far more experienced.

Then there's the physical strength not often seen with him being able to punch a large dent into a metal surface, and lift several hundred pounds without much effort.

@@creed8712 Well, he has in a few cases dented metal walls and a table, and in a canon comic he actually did beat a man to death with his fists, which looked very brutal and did more damage than you'd expect from a normal hand. It's possible to find cases where his beskar hands are used to do damage, but it usually just doesn't happen because he favors his lightsaber and force powers, which I would too if I had those things. There is mention that blasters can be stopped by the force, but I don't remember anyone actually blocking one with it, only a very rare occurence of freezing them temporarily.

Great video man. This is exactly the reason why Vader lost to Obi-Wan in the rematch because he was conflicted plain and simple. He wasn't fully enveloped in the dark side that's why palps sensed Anakin peeking through. Also vader was crying! That's Anakin crying. Even in Legends where Vader is said to be 80% of the emperor due to his injuries palpatine even States that he believed Vader could reawaken his full potential even in the suit and injuries if he got rid of the Anakin side of him a psychologically fucked up part if he fully embraced his choices and the path said before him he could reawaken true power, Which is why sidious thought Vader's weakness was psychological and not so much physical. But in this new comics as your video shows the Marvel Disney comics he's an absolute powerhouse. i mean you can literally hear how low this guy's IQ is from the way he speaks. he said a character is "relative" to another character, as if it's a synonym for "comparable", rather than a synonym for "in comparison to". a native english speaker should know how the word "relative" is used in a sentence. and he said vader has reaction speed faster than light, even though reaction speed is a measure of time, not velocity. and he keeps using "tons" as a unit of energy when it's actually a unit of mass, although i imagine he means "tons of tnt", despite him not realizing it. and he wants to measure everything by energy (or mass?) even when other physical properties like power would obviously be more appropriate.

The only thing about the Obi-Wan vs Anakin duel at the end of episode 3 is that while yes, Anakin is stronger than Obi Wan but was conflicted, Obi-Wan was also emotionally unstable. To the point where he begged Yoda to fight the Emperor instead of Anakin. Not only that, but saying Obi-Wan knew Anakin's style flawlessly gave him an advantage is kind of null since Anakin also knows Obi-Wan's style just as well. They cancel each other out in that aspect
During the Clone Wars, the general consensus was that Anakin had the edge in raw power but Obi-Wan has the edge in tactics/cunning and was relative enough to beat him.
Also, with Anakin being conflicted, yes he was nerfed, but he wasn't nerfed compared to his beginning of Episode 3 self, he was nerfed compared to the massive dark side amp he got that shot him above Yoda and Mace

It's pretty durable and his gloves can stop blasts and like you said fireproof and more, but on the other hand it's extremely uncomfortable but that works to his advantage and also its very weak to electricity, as Palpatine made sure if darth vader were to try to kill him, lightning would shut him down
Shutting down the suit doesn't halt an enraged Vader, his rage could probably keep him moving long enough to finish the fight or do a lot of damage.

That rage and hatred can be POWERFUL which I believe makes Darth Vader so, much, more POWERFUL than Sidious could ever, DREAM of being. Anakin/Vader is only able to be defeated when he’s conflicted. If his mind is in the game though, lightside or darkside there’s no hope for his opponent.

He only becomes leaps and bounds superior after that.
The correct way to say is Vader is more limited with the suit on.
But his Force prowess and Lightsaber impact is far more powerful than he was pre suited.

I’m pretty sure this is canon and maybe you can correct me if I’m wrong but vader actually tried healing his injuries and when he did he felt much better and wasn’t in as much pain and wasn’t as angry so the light side grew within him and he was returning to anakin but when he did that he lost the ability to heal any more as he needed to be vader to heal himself so it just reverted back to his injured self
It’s not exactly a feat, but he also was born from the force which is quite unique and his son reached force highs he never did by being able to create a black hole.

I thought the last rematch he and Obi-Wan had made Vader look a fool. If there is to be a second season, or perhaps some other show/movie set before Rogue One, I believe they have to make the Dark Lord threatening again
If they ended it with Obi-wan being buried alive by Vader, and Vader walks away seemingly triumphant then that would have been a logical ending to their duel. You can still have Obi-wan use the Force to escape, since he needs to survive long enough to teach Luke about the Force in episode 4. Vader's supremacy over Obi-wan was perfectly logical prior to his Super Saiyan power up after he escapes being buried alive.
The overall problem with Obi-wan having that kind of power level is his lack of combat experience over the time gap. Vader has not just been training in the Dark side, but has been fighting a war against Rebels, therefore his combat skills are fresh and sharp. Even if Obi-wan had kept up with his training (which the show was stupid to say that he hadn't) he would still be rusty. This is to say nothing of the VAST wealth of Expanded Universe content where Vader has pulled off magnificent feats with the Force, some of which are even greater than what's displayed in the show. The majority of Obi-wan's appearances in the Expanded Universe kept him confined to Tatooine (which is where he should be) therefore he hasn't had any grand space adventures to sharpen his ability with the Force. The evidence for Vader being powerful is overwhelming, whereas the evidence for Obi-wan is close to non-existent.

I can't say I know as in-depth the knowledge as you've clearly just shown, because this is a very detailed and well done breakdown, but I do see a few things that were definitely left out in some capacity or another. Darth Vader was never actually taught by Darth Sidious, other than minor lessons, to prevent him from gaining an upper hand. At least to my knowledge, despite wanting Anakin Skywalker to one day surpass him, after his fall on mustafar, he didn't believe that Darth Vader could ever regain the potential he once had as the chosen one of the force Anakin Skywalker. For that reason, Darth Sidious never considered Vader good enough to surpass him, yet also never found anyone capable of surpassing even Vader. Anakin Skywalker, and likely Luke Skywalker, we're supposed to be the chosen ones with nigh unlimited potential, and though the potential of Darth Vader was still far more vast than that of any other known Jedi or Sith outside of Sidious himself, Darth Vader was not capable of ever regaining the potential he once held. Again, at least to my knowledge.

George Lucas' opinion on Vader is that he achieved 80 percent of the power Palpatine had. In other words if Palpatine is level 100 in an RPG, then Vader is level 80. Still remarkably powerful, but not as powerful as he could have been.
Given Vader's many spectacular Force feats across the franchise, I like to think 80 percent might be underselling it a little bit. But I think the most clear and convincing evidence that Vader was at least on par with Palpatine, or more like 95 percent rather than 80, is Palpatine's death scene. Palpatine releases a barrage of Force lightning that was far more potent than the lightning he was using to torture Luke, implying of course that Palpatine is pouring his maximum effort into that attack. Despite the agony that lightning must have been causing him, Vader continues to walk forward and throws Palpatine to his death. I think what this is implying is that Vader had the Force power to fight Palpatine on an even playing field, but it was his suit that was holding him back. Even if he succeeded in killing Palpatine, the lightning damage his suit would have sustained would have resulted in Vader's death anyway. That's why Vader needed an apprentice, so that Vader had an advantage that would reduce the likelihood of being fatally shocked by the lightning -- or at least the apprentice would be able to give Vader medical support after beating Palpatine. That's my take on it.

I'm not sure Vader scales above Yoda or Windu, maybe I'm still biased from Legends but it just seems like a reach to use those Tarkin quotes to make such a definitive statement. I'm not sure how Vapaad works in canon, but depending on legends interpretation, it's kinda a trump card against dark siders. And Yoda can fight against Sideous to a standstill - not sure I'd give that to Vader. Great video though, loved the breakdown overall and agree a lot. I might just not know enough of canon

Vapaad works completely differently in canon than Legends.
Sidious gets much stronger over time in canon. He surpassed Yoda millions of times over by the OT.

Legends is even better for Vader. Vader is stated by palpatine to be able to kill him. This is the same palpatine who already had control of force storms which tear into hyperspace. This is 5D. Most I can say for mace is that he’s possibly universal+ using Dooku pulling power from across the universe. Legends Vader is just too strong for the clone wars Jedi

Oh man, no Battle of the Heroes music in these scenes of their duel really threw me off
It’s a relief to know that at least Vader’s power scaling in canon improved in comparison to the EU. Here he tops all High Republic-era Jedi and all Jedi council members, while in Legends he is implied to be barely AOTC/Clone Wars-level character. Also, I kinda disagree with Sidious’s ability to destroy Universe in Legends. It sounds more like an exaggerated statement than something real.
The Obi-Wan fights really complicate things because within the lore and meta of SW Anakin has always been the superior duelist and force user compared to his master. But the ROTS fight does make them seem perfectly on par with each other on both accounts. There's very little indication in the movie that Anakin has an overwhelming edge on Obi-Wan that Kenobi has to noticeably compensate for besides being put on the backfoot by Anakin for most of the fight.
Even within just ROTS, the scaling isn't logical at all. Kenobi got completely throttled by Dooku but dark side boosted Anakin (the same one Obi-Wan was more or less stalemating) easily overpowered Dooku.
Not as conclusive but still telling is the fact that both Anakin and Palpatine seemed to think they were relative to each other which aligns well with putting Anakin above your average Jedi Master but not quite at the absolute upper echelon of force user.
To justify Obi-Wan's performance, you really do need to nerf Anakin power-wise. There's no way a fully submerged in the dark side Anakin wouldn't immediately stomp Obi-Wan. Anakin's inner conflict had to bring him down several notches, possibly even making him weaker than he would have normally been as a Jedi knight. And that makes sense given the fact that Anakin had just taken part in a genocide of sorts; a genocide that included many of his friends and coworkers.
Anakin was also young and wasn’t fully untouched with his control of the force obi-wan was in it sense day one as to where Anakin was brought in at 13
So ur saying it doesn’t make sense but it does? Like u said Anakin was seriously conflicted, almost split in two. The real Anakin/his light side did not actually want to kill Obi-Wan and was making him hold back so much more than people realize or is even visible almost at all, and Vader/his dark side was so blindly drunk on bloodlust from the genocide you mentioned, pure arrogance and recklessness, and an extreme obsession with besting his master that left him mentally imbalanced and uncontrolled and stripped him of pretty much any strategy whatsoever. So not only was he severely conflicted, which in and of itself is a massive disadvantage, but on top of that, both sides/ends of him that he was conflicted between were extremely disadvantageous themselves. Taking all that into account, as well as what the above user said about Anakin being far less polished and practiced with the Force because of starting at a later age and just his many extreme traumas in general, it is actually a wonder he performed nearly as well as he did, imo.
What’s more is that all of this is so hard to account for or discern that even and especially Palpatine actually had no clue why and how Anakin didn’t really stand a chance in the state he was in. That is saying a lot because at the same time, Palpatine of all people understands the importance of ruthless singularity in one’s intentions and mental control toward achieving any ends, as opposed to being as conflicted as Anakin was, because of Palpatine’s extreme Dark Side immersion. However, Palpatine lacked empathy so greatly, if not completely, that he could not possibly have understood exactly how difficult the inner conflict and all its implications were for Anakin/Vader at that time, if he could have ever even wanted to imagine such a pitiful antithesis of the full fledged, pure Dark Side apprentice he had wished for so desperately. He could only merely grasp the vague notion that something was amiss with the Mustafar situation when he said “I sense Lord Vader is in danger”
Vader didn’t learn that Leia was his daughter until Return of The Jedi.

i find also the fact interesting that sidious kept Vader with his suit at ca. 80% of his power what if ca. 50% of the posible power Vaders could reach if he is completely restored(that could be posible with a clone of Vader so Vader can reattach his lost limbs from the clone and getting a new suit as the current one was desinged by darth sidious to limit him)
