Love to see him working on these older outboards Cody bass and my brother worked very good together and he has a bunch of my brother's stuff very very knowledgeable I'm bringing him 6 outboard from Cordova
Hi Kodi, nice one👍 Well, the test run with the 60hp Merc didn't go well today. I was running it up around 4,800 rpm and decided to check the temp. When I turned the motor off and sounded like the prop was fee wheeling with a tick tick tick sound? I started it back up and hit up the rpm and definitely revved up like a spun prop would. Also the impeller needs to be replaced. Off with the lower leg again except this time I'm buying new parts. Other than that the motor ran great😁👍
Here in North Carolina it’s been hotter than a two-peckered Billy goat peeing on a flat rock at a 4th of July picnic. This is late July weather already. I’m a sweatin like a Jezebel at revival meetins 🥵👍
I throughly enjoy your video of your outboard motors I have a 1973 evinrude 18hp and a 1961 Johnson 10hp both in my family since day 1
I own those as well, The 18 hp is one of my all time favorite motor's. kb

Hello Kodi, do you rebuild old bigger outboards around 100 to 150hp engines? If so I'd love to watch the videos.
Sadly not anymore. Not many left around here as most went 4 stroke. kb
hey Kodi l wondering if you dry ice blast the salt off the motors cooling systems insides an parts if they might come back.
Is it formally summer as you now in ••Work Shorts**
Nope' not until I see buds on the Plum tree.

I believe you misspoke. The drill is a Hack & Wrecker
Not 2 bad with the candles out. kb
Good runners!
Like you say, it needs to be ran and brought up to temp to burn off any carbon buildup!
Did you check lower unit oil on that one?
Yep' it was not real bad, so I just shot some fresh oil in & let it drain out the top a few pumps. kb
