It is a beast. My grandpa got his boat in 1980. 44 years later with basic maintenance and that 35 still starts every year.

Definitely either a water pump issue or clog.Don’t overheat it.Water pump should be under water at least 6 inches.Compresssion is on the low side.

More water should be coming out of the top lower unit exhaust for sure after a minute or so great model

@@VintageEngineRepairs they make an adapter to attach a garden hose to an outboard, if you find a good market and move that way it will be a handy tool. I hope the budget has room for flowers, Kat earned some. 🙂

The rectifier is there!
Its under the wire terminal block.
