Honestly this piece is amazing, i have been working on learning it. Props to you, that is the best saxophone solo i have ever seen written on musescore, keep it up
Hurrah! What a wonderful performance! Dear performers! I congratulate all the four of you. I wish you all the best to perform better and better in more and more pieces like this. When all the four of you simultaneously play it gives the effect of playing duplication of same copy of melody on both upper and lower octave (left and right hand) with addition of two more notes (keys) in between on foot-pumped harmonium which is otherwise known as reed organ. At some parts where tenor part is played and other three saxophones are silent, at some parts where alto part is played and other three saxophones are silent in such cases the voice of saxophone is clearly understandable.
Shifted Reality it's a lower pitch bend. Just lower the pitch with your mouth or embouchure. I don't know if "full" is the correct notation, but it was the best and quickest way to get playback on Musescore.
Still waiting for the fun day when Musescore updates there shitty saxophone sound effect to harmonize with the iconic saxophone harmony like in jazz peices like sugar rum cherry or hunting wabbits
This is pretty good, but the tenor solo in the middle with the low Bb is kinda eh, I would change that to something different and the pacing feels a little off compared to the rest of the song, but it still sounds great
Hey man, this is awesome! I love it so much! Would I be able to play and record this? Not for money or anything just for recreation. Full credits ofc if i ever post it :)
If I remember correctly, it was a feature on MuseScore (I think with electric guitar?) that allowed you to control pitch bends. I just put it on the saxophone to design certain bends and blue notes in particular spots for playback. The notation is confusing and not at all standard or what I’d do now I’d say if you want to perform this, just create a bend or match a note that is akin to what I have in this midi playback (or as close as you can get). Best of luck if you decide to play it, and I’d love to answer any and all questions!
You do know that all the fingerings are the same for all the instruments but if you could transpose and play and post it that would actually be awesome
MultiBossjack i mean i admit that the solos kinda ridiculous and just seems like a bunch of notes, but none of it is impossible. altissimo is an advanced skill but it's basically a requirement in a lot of saxophone repertoire
the pitch bends won't be as large a interval as they are on the recording but they are definitely doable. Very eloquent how you instantly go to personal insult.
TriggerDude Games They're just called bends. It's a downwards bend, and you can program it in Musescore. It's called "Full" in there and it's under the Articulation and Ornamentations section. If you're talking playing it, then that's something that comes down to voicing and control over your oral cavity while playing.
I would pay a lot of good money to see/hear this played perfectly.
I think the tenor had a couple of red bulls before playing and I love the bari parts
Same for something so simple, they bari part is so fire just like the bari part in shake it off by Taylor swift lol
That tenor part made me want to cry.
yea
as a tenor sax player, my new goal is to be able to play that solo before i die 😎
Honestly this piece is amazing, i have been working on learning it. Props to you, that is the best saxophone solo i have ever seen written on musescore, keep it up
I'd love to see a quartet actually play this!
I play Bari, Tenor, and Alto sax. I own my Alto but not the other two. But I'll still try to play it.
The bari sax tho
pedros tacos yes I play bari it’s fun to play
the tenor solo tho
Bro I swear baselines like that on bari are so fun
I WANT TO PLAY IT!!!
I liked so much hope in a future to record this song with all the saxophone jeje

the tenor part seems possible at first glance but actually trying to play it is kinda wild
Ever since I first saw this video, I've been working on trying to bend notes on a bass clarinet, but I'm not having much luck :-/
The ending of that solo
bro, I found this song perfect🎵❤️
Loved it. I will try the alto part.
This is such an amazing piece
you thought the tenor part was difficult but imagine playing it on trombone
That tenor solo requires the sacrifice of four Red Bulls and a few grams of Colombian nose candy to be able to play it
Damn for how amazing this is it should have ALOT more likes and I don't see how you could dislike the song!
That was awsome
what is that ornament on the alto part that creates a slide down effect called? (has "full" written above it)

thank you
I think it says "Fall".
It's called a "fall-off". Watch some tutorials on how to do it
I play tenor and iM SHOOK HOW ARE U SUPPOSED TO PLAY THAT SOLO
Very quickly and after four Redbulls and a bit of Colombian nose candy
I think the tenor player got cancer
*Me:* I'm a tenor sax player yeet.
*Me after watching this video:* ... fuck.
can i learn this like in a group with people? because its frickin awesomee
Ikrr I'm a bari and alto player... I love this piece so much
@@hampter2407 yessir this is a w arrangement fr
Btw idk if I told you this but I have my own bari now, it's purple with gold keys it's so tuff
You can play the tenor solo an octave down for some notes and only if the notes dont come out as clear as heard here.
Tenor sax🔫
This reminds me of The Ballad of Sara Berry.

You know Muse Sounds exist, right? The actual Muse Sounds are free
This is really great! Are there any actual recordings of a saxophone quartet playing your compositions out there? @Joshua Haugen
This is pretty good, but the tenor solo in the middle with the low Bb is kinda eh, I would change that to something different and the pacing feels a little off compared to the rest of the song, but it still sounds great
thats the point
The tenor part sound awsome but at 1:36 is impossible
It is impossible you can't switch between a high F and an altissimo note that quickly
There is a thing called "alternate fingerings".
1.5 it sounds so sweaty lolol

9 the barstads, ughh how dare they. Why dont they understand that clarinet is just a high pich sax fir beginners
Actually 16 lol oof this is such a great piece why did they dislike :(

Absolutely! Send me an e-mail at: joshua.d.haugen@wmich.edu

I want play this but can someone tell what is the "full" on some notes plz ?

Maybe that solo is better suited for the soprano
And maybe with the chords written
Is there any way that you can play the fast tenor part jzonda415 and like post it
I play exclusively Bari and Alto, so it'd have to be transposed or played like the piece is in a different key. I could probably learn it though.

Leo P.???
fun song, but there are a lot of areas that are practically unplayable
Nick Botts maybe for you 😂
none of this is unplayable lol
Was gonna say the same thing, i don't see anything unplayable lol
Ya dumb?
the pitch bends won't be as large a interval as they are on the recording but they are definitely doable. Very eloquent how you instantly go to personal insult.
Wait what are those pitch bends called I wanna know how to do that

Joshua Haugen Thank you so much
Hello! Do you have this arrangement in PDF?
Send me an e-mail at jzonda415@gmail.com and I'll send it right over!
Joshua Haugen thanks
I like it but oh my god its unreadable, the rhythms aren't displayed well, I'm having trouble finding beat 3 in bars
Logan I agree 100%

That’s some bad looking notation
