  • In part two of this rebuild we look at rebuilding the hand brake mechanism with hand brake shoes and putting on the brake disc on the left hand side. Right hand side with full details is coming in part 3.
    This is a quick walkthrough with litle details but notice that the left hand side is upside down from the right hand side so it's good to watch both part two and then part 3 when that comes out.

    Welcome to the zero faults series and the Project Discovery overland build series. Before I start adding mods like roof rack, rock sliders, lights and so on, I want to reset the car and get all faults cleared away. And first of is a full brake replacement starting with front brake discs an pads in full details.
    There are 2 major and some minor faults with the car at this point. The major ones are the EPB/handbrake module that has jammed on and the EGR-valves not closing. These are throwing an error and need to be fixed togheter with new brakes discs and pads all around before the MOT in June. About two months from this point in time.
    This reset series will end up in the EGR-replacement video and concluding with a MOT test day video.

    Hi Simon. I'm sure it was very satisfying to get the brakes done. Should last for ages. Have a great weekend :-)

      Yeah, it’s always a good feeling putting on new and shiny parts. But the best feeling I get when I do an engine oil change, then I’m driving with an extra good feeling. 😊😊

    Great work Simon. When I saw you with the screwdriver struggling with that fitting, I thought to myself that it was an accident waiting to happen. Sure enough the inevitable occurred and the screwdriver shot towards your palm. Ouch. Next scene showed you wearing gloves. Lol. I guess this was after you underwent first aid. ⛑🩹
    I hope the bloody handbrake works!

      Hehe, yeah, cut away the scene where I tell my self to put on the damn gloves. 😅😅 The reason why I wear gloves is so I can just work ahead without thinking, but it doesn’t work well when I forget to put on the gloves. 😂😂

    Hey Simon do both wheels need to be off the floor to make the adjustment?

    • @LandRoverDrive
      @LandRoverDrive  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both rear needs to be off yeah, to be able to spin it around so you can find the adjustment screws. 👍
