UhhQvnXBL actually Control burns prevent big forest fires. Park rangers do “control Burns” all the time in the United States. In fact when I go to King’s canyon nation park every year the park rangers start small brush fires everywhere and they leave them unsupervised. Fires are natural in nature and if you don’t want a huge forest fire you have to continually make small fires . ( also it depends on many other factors like the amount of rain that area has had in a given year .Like when there was a drought in Cali a few years ago they banned wood fires in Kings canyon for like 2 years until rain levels went back up to normal.). It’s really weird when I go up to Kings canyons and we are just swimming and walking passed brush fires.
Looks awesome! I had to take a large decking area in my backyard down and I'm reusing the wood for a wife approved backyard trail builds inspired pump track. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely awesome!!! The progression is amazing and dont worry about anybody elses pace. Love the builds and riding!!!! And the choice of music is 100% spot on perfect!!! Thanks Seth!!!!!
Sick Man! You and a lot of other youtubers hav inspired me to build a trail in my backyards with all the time I have because of quarantine. The only problem I have is that my yard is pretty flat.
WOW! Your videos are super. I have an acre and a Half in my back yard here in west Georgia. I am inspired. ( first I have to finish my Mother-in-law's Chicken house.)
Cool stuff! Hard to tell from camera angles, but any chance you can squeeze a 3rd line between the tree and the plywood berm (3:23)? You could use the ramp that goes into the berm as a launch pad and then land in the berm you're about to build on the pump track line.
you'll be able to generate more speed over those rollers if you just space them apart by an extra foot or two. give your body time to reset into attack position between them and you'll be able to get wayyy better pump. thanks for the great content dude you're keeping me enetertained any time i can't ride!!
Hey man, nice work. another one for the list - learn to manual the DJ through those rollers, the best feeling ever. Built a backyard roller line down here in NZ to learn those a few years back, heaps of fun.
At 7:50 you want to try and be in the 'meerkat' position and not bring the back up prematurely like you would in a bunny hop, this should help you go further on jumps Also, I Love the content, keep it up!
Progression is certainly tortoise-hare situation. If you go too fast you can end up hurt and not progressing at all. Thanks for the content dude! We love it
I always go out with my mates to bike trails and we always want to make our own. I’m not very good at riding trails tho and managed to stack on once cutting my arm down my chain needing stitches 😄
I would read this book! To bad I did not know you a few years ago, would have reached out when I was up your way to find someplace to ride. Ended up riding Creve Coeur one of the days I was up there
Little advice for your controlled burn next dig out a area that has nothing but dirt no leaves and burn in the area seen it happen before with people not digging a fire line. One guest of wind u got a brush fire ripping your track
Hey man I love these videos so much. I too live near saint Louis. Only 40 mins from eureka. You’ve inspired me to build some pretty big dh trails. Hopefully should have some videos out soon. 🤟🤟
If I may comment, the level of your music track is significantly louder than your voice over track. I keep having to turn up the volume to hear your commentary, but when you switch to music for the time-lapse montages, I get blown out.
hey, just wanted to say you might want to space out features a bit more, for instance the first two berms.. As you get faster the trails are going to feel too tight and choppy imo but it's great anyway :)
Love all the features and the honest skills commentary! Word. As I'm building-out my own backyard trail system, I also want to add wood features. Here in the Pacific Northwest it's wet. Alot! Is there a method you use to create more grip on your features? A little dew on on the wood makes for some slick surfaces. Keep up the good work! 👊
loving the series man, i can relate quiet a bit in relation to the tortoise, pumping wise i like to have my arms closer to vertical as it lets me put more power directly into pumping down.
Could have just been the way you rode it for the video clip but you originally said you were gonna build those two back to back birms high so you could really dig into them but then in the footage you pretty much just cut down the middle of them. Do they need to be spaced out more or is there just not really a need for them there? Anyway, awesome setup man (the track and bikes)! I’m jealous!!
Hey so I’m somewhat new to the channel but I’m a fairly good rider and a couple things you could take as some conservative criticism is when riding try compressing more into you cool little step up and try to lower your heels on the bike. Just some things I was taught when I first started doing jumps, anyway I like seeing the progress keep up the good work👍🏻
The 2 Seth's keeping me entertained through quarantine
You stole my comment🤣🤣
Same for me.
Two of the best MTB channels!
You shockeer also try Matt jones maybe
Should
Huis lockdown series at least
That “controlled burn” would instantly turn into a bush fire over here in Australia
legend has it our water is flammable 😭
Rip

Oath
@@reecealeck8314 why are you pretending to know anything about Australian bush fires? Cali bush fires have nothing on Australian bush fires.
When i saw that controlled burn before you said so i was just yelling at my screen that you were gonna create a bushfire
Ohana Ross-Roberts no
Also are you Australian because most of us aussies call em bushfires
@@jamesbowie1074 yep aha
Ohana Ross-Roberts you’re a fucking idiot
@Ohana Ross-Roberts you have to do controlled burns as part of maintaining the woods, that way a massive fire doesn't start when you're not prepared
plz collab with seth again!
after corona he should come to your house and build something
Looks awesome! I had to take a large decking area in my backyard down and I'm reusing the wood for a wife approved backyard trail builds inspired pump track. Keep up the good work.
L M how do u have a comment from 15hours ago when this was uploaded 9mins ago

It is so satisfying when he pack in dirt in time laps

As soon As it came into my notifications I went straight into your video love ya and been tryna mtb as much as I can
Same here haha
Great idea. I'm going to add some wooden rollers like yours to my pump track.
The two Seths are very entertaining and smart and they have the best yard trail and here I am two of them entertaining while I'm in quarantine
I don't know what Seth makes better Trail building videos?
Yesssss finally something good to watch for 10 minutes 🤟🤟
Sick Man! You and a lot of other youtubers hav inspired me to build a trail in my backyards with all the time I have because of quarantine. The only problem I have is that my yard is pretty flat.
Work with what you have! You can make some dope stuff
have a look at what matt jones has done
@@benstorey1130 I have been following his trail and they are insane.
Imagine if seth had to move and take down all the features
This isn’t seth
His name is seth
S K I B A isn’t this “Backyard Seth?”
GreenSphinx actually yeah it is but not seths bike hacks
I’m pretty inclined to belive that this is his property
Self quaranteen in a MTB paradise 😍
Awesome content man, keep it up 👍🏼
Looks pretty sick 🚵♀️

Sweet work man. Keep up the good work.
Great job, you really know what you are doing
Ha nice I use the same strategy to build Berms to save time and add a bit more stirdiness
Thanks for the videos and keep up the great work bud!

This channel is going to explode soon. The content is continually getting better
Amazing video. And well done sir.
very good job.
beautiful line 👌
Progression really is something that changes for each person and can be setback instantly.
Totally, don't want to push to a point that sets you back.

🔥🔥under rated channel🔥
Love these vids. I usually take a bong hit and your vids are chill!
Awsome video
You really do get goin on these things
How have you built those carves at the rollers out of on woodden piece?
I'm just amazed at all the level land you have. Lol

Q,...
That is sweet you should try to make a whale taill in your jump line
*tail
Thanks
the lack of being able to go out and bike has had me binge ur vids and i love em!
love the Sthlm in My Heart in that pump sequence! Nice editing, keep it up.
This is so cool! Would love to ride something like this
Love this stuff man keep em coing!! Building my own lines in my back yard with friends!

Did you ever go back and do the step up onto the platform drop?
Freaking awesome!!!!!
you should make another video where you ride all of your trails. it’s been a few months and you’ve added a lot of things since then.
OMG!!! ELON MUSK!
So good
Double the roller ? Seems possible
decent good job on the track
when did you start mtb

Build a foam pit.. you'll learn soooo many more tricks and gain alooooot of confidence.
With the wooden roller you could make a sick whaletail if you elevated them a bit.
Such a sick channel! New subscriber right here.
👍😎👍. Nice bike too
Loving all the new work on the trails. I have some space at my new under-construction house for trails
That's super exciting
What is your helmet?
What kind of job do you have because you have a bunch of extra time to build an amazing project. :)
Where in Missouri is it that cold at the end of April
Do you use cedar or treated wood?
Yo that trail is looking smexy

Why do you keep putting the berms from the pump track and moving them around.

What cameras do you use?
Next video: I put out a forest fire with only my mountain bike! // Backyard MTB Trail!
I think it would make a great vid if you could make some sort of skate park for bikes out of wood.
.....controled burn?

This is dope
