I win more times in season 4 than season 3 I don’t even use the avengers items, except for the hover jets and what is the button for the hover jet to cancel because every time I wanna cancel, I have to wait for it to finish with the field or Tiket it out of my inventory i’m playing on controller how am I winning more times? 🤔
You complained about every item. If they are all so good they counter each other. The ranger pistol is just as good as dual mags if you use it right. This season is awesome because it rewards skillful movement and aim instead of magneto that does 90 damage instead of 50 like this seasons items. Also the nitro guantlets are too easy to use the jet pack has a way higher skill threshold.
Your complaints were honestly really dumb because you were already able to counter all those items on pure skill alone. An actual decent player can take out someone with an arsenal just fine, and if they have a shield, even better. Given the over-abundance of nerfs to these items now, anyone complaining about these items quite literally just shows they're completely ass. As the jetpack is basically a shell of its former self, it is extremely mid. The shield can be countered even more easily now by just moving to the side, or if you have a jetpack, you can still slightly be able to dodge. And the auto turret should've gotten a slight nerf by now with the amount of flinch it gives. Otherwise I just can't ever see how this season was difficult for anyone, and if people are still having issues even after the nerfs, then that is really telling of their skill ngl.
Me and my teammates getting jumped by three squads with jetpacks definitely made me went from loving this season to "give me the glove thanos ill fucking do it myself" scenario

I feel like its the same story over and over. New season comes out, Epic adds new items that change the meta, the hardcore players get mad and scream bloody murder, items get nerfed till they don't do anything. This time around it seems like the new hero items are so pivotal to the gameplay of the season that Epic can't go in and make these too awful. I initially enjoyed playing with the items, but as days passed you slowly realized that without a marvel item you get murked, it gets kinda annoying. Me and my friend ended up moving over to ranked to get a bit more out of the season because getting destroyed for nothing wasn't cool. At the end of the day, you really can't play this season without having something from the marvel drops, you will die.
Watching this video now, just have to add how annoying it is to deal with a person flying around in a jet pack all over my screen and having the repulsers and just holding the fire button having no skill and just locking on to you and ABSOLUTELY destroying your health. Yeah, I feel that. There was this one game I played yesterday where me and another player landed in mount Olympus. They got a shield, I got a Sovereign Shotgun. I had to LOCK IN, and even then I survived on like 5 HP. Shit was crazy. I died like 5 seconds later to someone who had a Cap’s shield and a jet pack tho lmao
Snipers coming back would be so beneficial for this season. Mystical bomb has a small animation and the jetpack kids just sitting in the air spraying could be countered with a sniper

I actually don't think that way , and if you feel like that you should try competitive or reload there is a very different loot pool for people who doesn't want to play against or with the new Mythic weapons.
I feel like this season is hard as fuck and haven't been able to win any solo's yet. I LOVED last season and won often but I've always loved the cars and spammed running people over. It's my specialty really. The turret just added a little more bang for my buck. Loved last season so much.
@Notjust-Naruto maybe but I prefer build mode. Zero build I feel like it's harder to defend yourself and it's just less fun. I'm not the best at building but I'm learning and I'm still kinda new going on my second year playing.
Your answer is in the second half of your reply. Now I have no idea how long you’ve been playing. But if your play style is “ram people with cars”. Once they remove them it’s naturally going to be extremely hard now that your main strategy is gone and you haven’t been practicing the core gameplay as much as before. Even then winning is usually hard if your not in bot lobby’s, the difference is that there isn’t an easy win item you can get
I've honestly had a lot of problems with this season, but it hasn't ruined my enjoyment of the season. I really think they need to nerf the HELL out of Cap Shield, and make the fuel for the jetpack far less. The shield is imo the worst offender of this season, because it's the easiest unique weapon to use, has really good damage, and the "downside" to the weapon isn't even a downside. There's been multiple times when I get the stun, but because I've unloaded most of my mag on them I can barely do damage to them. Then they're back to rocking my shit. ALSO combine the shield with the auto turret, AND THEN YOU GET PUNISHED FOR ENGAGING, BECAUSE THE TURRET DOES MORE DAMAGE TO YOU THEN YOU'LL DO TO THEM. People aren't talking about how annoying, and toxic the turret is. The only way to counter it is to use the shield- like omfg lmaoooo

The auto turret doesn’t even do that crazy of numbers like it does 15 damage every sec and u can avoid it using cover or bubble shields or caps shield at this point ur just complaining abt something of a skill issue

my biggest issue with this season is definitely the "you either get a jetpack before your first real fight or you lose instantly" factor, it sucks having SUPER must carries like that in the game especially when they're so rare, but i dont think in my semi competitive opinion that makes it a "terrible" season, i really love this season bc im a marvel fan so maybe im just blinded to reality and epic can do no wrong but when this seasons fun its REALLY fun, and on the other hand when you dont get a jetpack off drop and 3 other people around you do and all you can do is run around like an ant and die off drop, it does blow really hard
My biggest complaint about this season is how uncommitted and how big of cowards everyone is. Like i be in a gun fight and im about to win, but then instead of going a warrior's death the oppenent runs far away with like every mobility item in the game
At least some of the items are counterable this season at least in build mode (I’m sorry no build players I played one game and there’s no way I’m playing another game with people flying around while I blank there head because the shields hit box is broken
Unfortunately, I'm a very casual player and only came back to this game because of the Marvel pack. I only play zero build because I don't know how to build. Playing ranked is annoying.
The cars stopped being a problem a long time ago, like when the emp's were finally added. Because they were already nerfed. There were countless counters to the cars and then they added the magneto powers which were annoying and overkill.

Was in the final stretch of a Zero Build with all of WM's arsenal and was lighting up a Cap Shield player and was doing constant white damage but somehow despite throwing a literal barrage of missiles and bullet they never broke stance and killed me instead. Like...how? That's why I don't care for this season much, Marvel gear always seems to benefit enemies rather then me and it leaves me baffled.
I also enjoyed last season as well, I hope this season is just as good if not better in the fun department. Especially as all the sweats be on my tail every round.
I hate they removed Nitro completely as well because it seemed so important then it just disappeared completely. It was impossible to not have Nitro last season and now it has completely been removed for what? I dunno this season is less fun than last one for me so far as well

It's hard to adapt when it's hard enough to handle most of the stuff. Felt like luck the first few seasons and I enjoy it more now because of the nerfs. The weapons are still strong, but it's more of a fair fight
I personally prefer to play more in zero-build mode, and unlike last season, winning a match or even lasting until the top 10 is really a matter of luck. If you don't have at least something from War Machine's arsenal, a Captain America shield or Doctor Doom's Gauntlet, good luck because you'll have a hard time at least making it to the top 20. Not to mention that if you're unlucky enough to encounter a player using the jetpack, shield and gauntlet you can be sure that you will NOT win against that guy
Now Idk about the zero build area but I’n build mode it’s not hard to get top 10-15 placements if you have decent game sense. In s3 you where screwed if you didn’t have a car. And the only op item is the shield
@@Blue_Doge I played a few games in build mode and yes, it is easier to get to at least the top 15. The problem with zero build mode is that when someone comes with a gauntlet or the captain's shield, they start spamming you and it only gets worse if they have a jetpack because they fly right over your head. In build mode you can still protect yourself or even run away if your health is low, but in zero build mode if you are outdoors with no structures nearby, you can consider yourself dead.
@@Blue_Doge Considering how long I've been playing Fortnite, this is the first time I've been so stressed out while playing. I'm not a big fan of the building mode because the first time you shoot a player they quickly build the Tower of Babel in front of you, and I'm not someone who has the patience to go out and build and go after them. But the zero building mode is quite "suffocating".
This might just be me, but I’m really enjoying this season, as someone who hated season 3 with every fiber of my being, I can see how this season is pretty unbalanced, but I don’t think it’s a complete requirement to have the broken items, I’ve won plenty of games without the avengers items, I swear when I see kids who use these items I usually just use the monarch pistol or the new shotgun, I feel like when I die to players using these weapons, I could’ve outplayed them, not that I just didn’t have one of the marvel items, but idk I’ve only played builds this season it prolly sucks in ZB
I am mostly a casual and am enjoying the season a lot. But I do think they NEED to split the loot pool in casual vs ranked/comp. It will allow the more competitive to feel competitive and not luck or no skill, and it allows pubs to stay fun and wacky.
Lost a ranked match because someone was flying so high up in the sky I couldn't even see them and they were using claws and jetpack with the repulse to stay up. They had heals and landed on a vending machine in storm at the end so I lost that :) watching the replay was frustrating
Honestly, I really, really love this season. The only problem I have is the shield. That thing is just straight up broken but I love doom gauntlets I love the war machine weapons and I love all of the normal weapons that we got this season. I loved playing with the revolver in hand cannon and the monarch pistol is just that the burst rifle to me is just meh And I love the dual SMG’s for what they are and I can’t wait to be shooting doom’s freaking laserbeam and flying around like Iron Man
I completely understand what you mean with the shield, I mag dump someone who just holds it in front of them with no care in the world and either the shield simply won’t break or if I’m lucky it does break but all my guns need to reload (and guess what by the time thats done they already have it up again). But if I even dare to use it all someone has to do is spray for one second and it’s already down, or just bypass it completely. I swear almost all if not every loss I have is due to stupid interactions with the shield. Other than that I personally don’t have too many issues with the other weapons in the game. Been enjoying it a lot.

I only played ranked this season after the Avengers gear had already been removed. Can’t believe Epic even put them in there in the first place. Armoured walls actually are in Zero Builds for some reason, so are mats and I’m not sure why. I somehow ended up with 400 metal in a Zero Build game.
The auto-turrets might be the worst offender out of all the marvel mythics, imo. Been killed so many times because it beams you for 20-25 health essentially every second or so, and if someone also has the jetpack they can chase you with the turret and there is absolutely nothing you can do. It's like you don't even really get a chance against it, you're just dead in a few seconds. It should have a longer cooldown between the bursts it fires, and the lock-on range should be smaller. I believe the damage is okay, maybe a little much, but the fact it's pretty much an aimbot laser that you can't avoid at most fighting ranges is unfair and absolutely unbalanced.
@@Notjust-Naruto some of us don't like to play builds. Pretty sure that's why Zero Build exists as a mode. Also, whether it's 15 damage or 20 doesn't matter, because it shoots quickly in bursts with minimal time between them. That's not fair. A whole squad with auto-turrets beaming you for a combined total of 60 damage every few seconds isn't fair, you just don't get a good enough chance to escape when there is limited mobility and the turret has such a large lock-on range. If you die, you should know it was because you made a mistake and can fix that mistake in future play. When you die without being given a chance to survive out of no fault of your own, that's poor game design. That's why so many people didn't like last season, because it had the same issue with unbalanced and unfair items.
@@Notjust-Naruto it's not that. It's a case of people either not having the right equipment or not having enough time to invest into playing the game. Zero builds exists as a gateway to bring people who can't compete with the high skill gap into fortnite and let them enjoy it. This doesn't mean they should let weapons that are severely unbalanced in that lootpool stay that way, though. They should be doing separate nerfs for zero builds and builds, since that's a large portion of the game's playerbase. I have nothing but respect for people who play builds, and I don't think it's any problem with sweats, pros, or just good players in general. I simply just can't compete with them, and I often find I don't have enough time or willpower to "get better" at building. I'm also limited by hardware. In the end, I just want the game to do well and for people to enjoy it, hence why I'm saying the auto-turret should get a nerf that stops it being so unbalanced in a core mode. It may be fine it builds, but it's unfair in zero builds and becomes the dominant meta which isn't good for a game that allows for lots of playstyle expression.

Although we have reloaded, it's exhausting to have all this horseshit in game that by the time we get use to is removed and replaced with something worse.
There's lots of counter strategies. They are hard to fight against but not impossible. The only descent cover is shield bubbles and side ducking in and out to toss back right peek damage to Captain Doom Machine. The other option is to practice that crazy side and back boosting with the jetpack.. Jetpack at distance, negates the auto turret and the Doom gloves, and makes it harder to hit with Rockets and Machine Gun from the gloves. For people boxing up with iron plate walls...shockwaves. Shockwaves still break them. Reverse Shockwave through, break the wall tag em with a shotty. I've made sure to carry them to also solve the cheeky buggers that trap you in the weapons bunkers using the walls.. Shockwave out, easy peasy.
The rockets of the arsenal have a pretty short range only going 25 meters I believe so if you keep your distance you can kill the player using it The auto turret can just be out ranged The jet pack can be countered pretty heavily since it leaves you in the open while flying Cap shield just spray them at close range and shotgun them

The reason people love season og and reload is because of this. This is no bullshit just guns. No NPC’s, no mythic op weapons. And none of these special items which just feel unfair.
Naaah the jetpack and the turret are too strong especially the jetpack since it is mandatory to carry it or facing someone who has it will be a nightmare.
This made me realize how long it's been since I played a battle royale game against real people and what an awful nightmare it is to play with random people on your team, now I just play other modes and sometimes bot lobbies.

Maybe bring something like ch5 s1 back. Because that was definitely the most balanced season of this chapter imo. Yeah the ballistic shield was annoying, so was the frenzy Auto but at least you can do something against them. In season 4, all new items are very hard to counter. And there are a lot of them. Someone flying up to you while having an automatic firing turret with an uncounterable shield with an illegally fast smg while you can't do anything is just completely unfun and unbalanced. 5/10 season, so mid

The new items are fun except for when low skill players do nothing but use cap’s shield and auto turrets. That’s the same reason as to why we hated the cars last season, they were really fun, but not when noobs killed half the lobby by sitting in one the entire game.
I think that they definitely should've split the lootpools, but other than that, I'm having a blast with this season, since Hero weapons (except Doom Gauntlets) are relatively common, I don't usually find myself outright destroying anyone, sure there may be the ocassional free kill from someone who's only defense is an uncommon striker burst and a rare sovereign shotgun but again, that's not typically the case in my experience and if I die, then I don't find myself being all that frustrated since it was a pretty fair 'bout
"Just adapt" is really code to "your way of playing for fun is wrong and if you don't play this specific way you'll loose 200% of the time" and the sweat way is so dull and boring in all honesty
as a casual: this season is just. not fun,, i warmed up to last season against my will because like, at my fault i suppose, i believe we shouldn’t have to drive a busted car (or in the case of this season, carry all the marvel weapons) just to win. i have a lot more fun when the game ends in an actual gun fight and not a one person has jetpack and the other doesn’t

Here’s a hot take, I actually like the duel SMGs, also as to the game the thing I liked about the last season before the Marvel Collab going on currently is previously that it didn’t seem that difficult to play, like I’ll be completing quest for tasks or anything that the games wanting me to complete but I can’t do that half the time in this season because it seems like every 10 seconds I’m having someone run up behind me shooting at me
Happy to see I'm not the only one who feels this way about this season. I've been playing Fortnite since Chapter 5: Season 1 with the Underground. I've improved a lot, but the game has become challenging with mythics and Avatar stuff but was still fun to play. Even the Nitro season was my more frustrating season but I found great pleasure in it because of the cars. Then MARVEL came in. This season, I played 141 matches in ranked and 236 in casual (as of typing this), and it's been frustrating. The new MARVEL GEAR is causing issues, and I'm questioning if I'm just the worst player or if the weapons are too much to handle. Despite winning a few crowns in solo matches, Winning doesn't even feel good anymore. I recently had a debate about the overpowered Marvel weapons in Fortnite with an acquaintance. He said, "Maybe you're just mad because someone knows how to use them." It's a good point, but it doesn't help that he's been playing Fortnite since it first came out, while I only started less than a year ago. Plus, it doesn't make the weapons any less overpowered than they already are. I've noticed that it's getting harder to find good mobility items in the game. Sometimes, I'm lucky to find just 2 shockwave grenades for an entire match, if at all. Jetpacks are a rare find for me it's laughable. Despite these challenges, I haven't given up. I'm still trying to get better, but I'm not expecting to win anytime soon. I'm hoping that the next season will be manageable. Hopefully more fun too.
My only issue with this season is when people pull up on me with a shield, auto turret AND a jetpack on top of that. Like youre not even playing the game atp, youre just blocking and letting your auto turret get me low enough to where you feel like you can finish me

Last couple seasons sweats have shown that if you mess with their house building they get sad and cry. I'd say keep them corralled in ranked mode where nothing changes except the seasons current gun rotation and leave the fun new experiences to normals. That way they can can shotgun and tower build on each other for another couple years....at least until Disney finally just buys Epic and turns FN into Toontown 3.
10:25 The Doom gloves are nowhere close to the Magneto Gauntlets. I felt the Doom's gloves were actually pretty underpowered for only having one in a match.
Jet pack trick, if your hover button is the same as the boost button, you immediately boost the moment you start flying. It may be a little uncontrollable if you’re just trying to fly upwards, but it’s brain dead easy to do boost dodges and movement shenanigans. Controller player here, might be different for keyboard.
i see what you are putting down but ive actually havent had bad times with these mythics. like, yea the first week with caps shield was op asl but, after it got easier to counter. last season it felt like i didnt have a chance at fighting. W vid
I've felt both sides of this season so far. i tried to play competitively. i hated it. i hopped on with some friends, and its a blast. i wouldn't say I'm a competitive player. but i like the option, some days i want to hop into ranked and try hard for a bit. but its just a coinflip if you get good loot or not at the moment. "don't have a jetpack from your first chest. i guess you lose." on the other hand. the items are so fun to use as a squad. nothing beats the fun factor of your team rocking up with War Machine items. so im very split.
I think for no builds this season is not as horrible as it was when it first released. There's more items now. Far more often you can reliably find mobility like iron Man flight kits and jet packs or panther claws. I've played about 150 games and there has only been one single game where I did not have any power items before the last few circles. The big problem item is the doom gauntlet. Bc there's only one and it's so oppressive for zero build you pretty much have to contest for it bc if you don't you will lose 9/10 times. The shield has also been nerfed to where it really isn't reliable in the late game and only is used to counter war machine rocket salvos. The auto turret is ok but it doesn't do enough to where you need to carry it. Iron Man gloves are a must have bc of the lock on feature, but in general this season has been a blast for me so far. Competitively I can see why it sucks but I think for the base game it's really fun, just take some of the busted stuff out of ranked.
I felt that.. I am trying SO HARD to like this season, but I'll play it maybe once or twice a week which is a lot less than what I usually played before this season dropped.
So what I'm hearing in TLDR is: “We can't have fun because we have shit luck with drops, so we will blame everything else instead of that.” In the clip shown at 8:00 that's not an item issue, that's a literal misplay you did by returning onto the island while you're the only one still standing. Both of your teammates are down, you're not at full hp and have only half shield, going against a full squad who is capping the island and are literally looking for people to take down while guarding the spot. This is not an item issue, this is you being an idiot by going back in. Hell I'll throw you a bone, sure maybe you should've gone back in, you were next to a downed teammate, but instead of helping them up to get a better fighting chance what do you do? You attack all three with doom gauntlets like a dumbass, that item is ONLY good for builds, against people it's absolutely sub-par. Don't blame the items for your lackluster game sense and inability to adapt to the environment.
The items can also be an issue as well. It's not just one of the other between items or skill. 90% of the damage he took in that clip were from auto locks.
@@skelebrosgaming2187 the turrets do 5 damage per shot, and they fire at a rate of 5.5. what you said is absolutely not true. The damage he took is from them shooting at him with either burst AR or with the Striker AR. This is 100% not the item issue but skill. At MOST if the enemy had 3 turrets ONLY it would've cracked him and dented the 50 shield down to like 5% shields. Every other bit of damage was not the auto turret, it was the players outplaying him.
from a zero build perspective, the magneto gauntlets were much more broken than the doom gauntlets. The only time I had trouble with doom was when I was using portabunkers during the early game in ranked, but I should have been using the bubbles because they are far more common and hard counter most of the bs this season. From my grind to unreal rank, doom gauntlet users were a free kill in the early to late game if I had bubbles and/or the hover jets
Honestly, I just say enjoy it because Fortnite did know some things to the weapons to make up not as powerful but the cars have gotten Nerf this season because I can barely find one
I feel like the reason I am not enjoying the season as much is actually because of the lack of more "Hero weapons". The first Marvel season had a lot of cool powers: Groot, She Hulk, Storm, Wolverine, IM, Doom, Thor, Venom and BP. This season we only got Cap, IronMan, BP, WM and Doom. Variety made it fun even if you lost.
This season had so much going for it, the theme (while really unappealing to me as i dont like collab seasons) was really awesome ror many, the battle pass being no longer exclusive and having some fan favourite characters is very sweet and i absolutely love the map changes as the new bioke is really pretty (personally its my favourite biome from this chapter cause it doesnt feel like depressing) and the jetpack can be crazy fun. HOWEVER This season sometimes just feels crazy unfair and sometimes i die in such BULLSHIT reason it makes me legit alt f4 out if the game and just boot up minecraft and like play on a peaceful difficulty world💔
The season is definitely really easy, I'm enjoying the chaos of it it reminds me of all the silly quirks of the older seasons. Definitely over tuned in terms of some stuff being way over powered but as a complete casual that's kinda what fortnite has always been to me personally. It's definitely been way too free with the levels though I shouldn't be at level like 115 this early from doing my regular quests and playing a few hours of festival a week.
As a zero build player thats returning after a few seasons, I wondered why it felt almost impossible to regroup and repair, or heck even get a starting foot on the match.

I win more times in season 4 than season 3 I don’t even use the avengers items, except for the hover jets and what is the button for the hover jet to cancel because every time I wanna cancel, I have to wait for it to finish with the field or Tiket it out of my inventory i’m playing on controller how am I winning more times? 🤔
It's boring. The gameplay is slow, Marvel mythics are alright, and the guns are just so bland and repetitive.

You complained about every item. If they are all so good they counter each other. The ranger pistol is just as good as dual mags if you use it right. This season is awesome because it rewards skillful movement and aim instead of magneto that does 90 damage instead of 50 like this seasons items. Also the nitro guantlets are too easy to use the jet pack has a way higher skill threshold.
Your complaints were honestly really dumb because you were already able to counter all those items on pure skill alone. An actual decent player can take out someone with an arsenal just fine, and if they have a shield, even better.
Given the over-abundance of nerfs to these items now, anyone complaining about these items quite literally just shows they're completely ass. As the jetpack is basically a shell of its former self, it is extremely mid. The shield can be countered even more easily now by just moving to the side, or if you have a jetpack, you can still slightly be able to dodge. And the auto turret should've gotten a slight nerf by now with the amount of flinch it gives. Otherwise I just can't ever see how this season was difficult for anyone, and if people are still having issues even after the nerfs, then that is really telling of their skill ngl.
The biggest advantage of the turret so far is it alerts you to players sneaking up behind you
Me and my teammates getting jumped by three squads with jetpacks definitely made me went from loving this season to "give me the glove thanos ill fucking do it myself" scenario

I feel like its the same story over and over. New season comes out, Epic adds new items that change the meta, the hardcore players get mad and scream bloody murder, items get nerfed till they don't do anything.
This time around it seems like the new hero items are so pivotal to the gameplay of the season that Epic can't go in and make these too awful.
I initially enjoyed playing with the items, but as days passed you slowly realized that without a marvel item you get murked, it gets kinda annoying. Me and my friend ended up moving over to ranked to get a bit more out of the season because getting destroyed for nothing wasn't cool.
At the end of the day, you really can't play this season without having something from the marvel drops, you will die.

Yeah, I feel that. There was this one game I played yesterday where me and another player landed in mount Olympus. They got a shield, I got a Sovereign Shotgun. I had to LOCK IN, and even then I survived on like 5 HP. Shit was crazy.

I feel like this season is hard as fuck and haven't been able to win any solo's yet. I LOVED last season and won often but I've always loved the cars and spammed running people over. It's my specialty really. The turret just added a little more bang for my buck. Loved last season so much.

Your answer is in the second half of your reply. Now I have no idea how long you’ve been playing. But if your play style is “ram people with cars”. Once they remove them it’s naturally going to be extremely hard now that your main strategy is gone and you haven’t been practicing the core gameplay as much as before.
Even then winning is usually hard if your not in bot lobby’s, the difference is that there isn’t an easy win item you can get
I've honestly had a lot of problems with this season, but it hasn't ruined my enjoyment of the season. I really think they need to nerf the HELL out of Cap Shield, and make the fuel for the jetpack far less. The shield is imo the worst offender of this season, because it's the easiest unique weapon to use, has really good damage, and the "downside" to the weapon isn't even a downside. There's been multiple times when I get the stun, but because I've unloaded most of my mag on them I can barely do damage to them. Then they're back to rocking my shit.
ALSO combine the shield with the auto turret, AND THEN YOU GET PUNISHED FOR ENGAGING, BECAUSE THE TURRET DOES MORE DAMAGE TO YOU THEN YOU'LL DO TO THEM. People aren't talking about how annoying, and toxic the turret is. The only way to counter it is to use the shield- like omfg lmaoooo

my biggest issue with this season is definitely the "you either get a jetpack before your first real fight or you lose instantly" factor, it sucks having SUPER must carries like that in the game especially when they're so rare, but i dont think in my semi competitive opinion that makes it a "terrible" season, i really love this season bc im a marvel fan so maybe im just blinded to reality and epic can do no wrong but when this seasons fun its REALLY fun, and on the other hand when you dont get a jetpack off drop and 3 other people around you do and all you can do is run around like an ant and die off drop, it does blow really hard

The cars stopped being a problem a long time ago, like when the emp's were finally added. Because they were already nerfed. There were countless counters to the cars and then they added the magneto powers which were annoying and overkill.

Was in the final stretch of a Zero Build with all of WM's arsenal and was lighting up a Cap Shield player and was doing constant white damage but somehow despite throwing a literal barrage of missiles and bullet they never broke stance and killed me instead. Like...how? That's why I don't care for this season much, Marvel gear always seems to benefit enemies rather then me and it leaves me baffled.
I also enjoyed last season as well, I hope this season is just as good if not better in the fun department. Especially as all the sweats be on my tail every round.
I hate they removed Nitro completely as well because it seemed so important then it just disappeared completely. It was impossible to not have Nitro last season and now it has completely been removed for what? I dunno this season is less fun than last one for me so far as well

It's hard to adapt when it's hard enough to handle most of the stuff. Felt like luck the first few seasons and I enjoy it more now because of the nerfs. The weapons are still strong, but it's more of a fair fight
I personally prefer to play more in zero-build mode, and unlike last season, winning a match or even lasting until the top 10 is really a matter of luck. If you don't have at least something from War Machine's arsenal, a Captain America shield or Doctor Doom's Gauntlet, good luck because you'll have a hard time at least making it to the top 20. Not to mention that if you're unlucky enough to encounter a player using the jetpack, shield and gauntlet you can be sure that you will NOT win against that guy
Now Idk about the zero build area but I’n build mode it’s not hard to get top 10-15 placements if you have decent game sense. In s3 you where screwed if you didn’t have a car. And the only op item is the shield
@@Blue_Doge I played a few games in build mode and yes, it is easier to get to at least the top 15. The problem with zero build mode is that when someone comes with a gauntlet or the captain's shield, they start spamming you and it only gets worse if they have a jetpack because they fly right over your head. In build mode you can still protect yourself or even run away if your health is low, but in zero build mode if you are outdoors with no structures nearby, you can consider yourself dead.

I'm not a big fan of the building mode because the first time you shoot a player they quickly build the Tower of Babel in front of you, and I'm not someone who has the patience to go out and build and go after them. This might just be me, but I’m really enjoying this season, as someone who hated season 3 with every fiber of my being, I can see how this season is pretty unbalanced, but I don’t think it’s a complete requirement to have the broken items, I’ve won plenty of games without the avengers items, I swear when I see kids who use these items I usually just use the monarch pistol or the new shotgun, I feel like when I die to players using these weapons, I could’ve outplayed them, not that I just didn’t have one of the marvel items, but idk I’ve only played builds this season it prolly sucks in ZB
I am mostly a casual and am enjoying the season a lot. But I do think they NEED to split the loot pool in casual vs ranked/comp. It will allow the more competitive to feel competitive and not luck or no skill, and it allows pubs to stay fun and wacky.
Lost a ranked match because someone was flying so high up in the sky I couldn't even see them and they were using claws and jetpack with the repulse to stay up. They had heals and landed on a vending machine in storm at the end so I lost that :) watching the replay was frustrating
Honestly, I really, really love this season. The only problem I have is the shield. That thing is just straight up broken but I love doom gauntlets I love the war machine weapons and I love all of the normal weapons that we got this season. I loved playing with the revolver in hand cannon and the monarch pistol is just that the burst rifle to me is just meh And I love the dual SMG’s for what they are and I can’t wait to be shooting doom’s freaking laserbeam and flying around like Iron Man
I completely understand what you mean with the shield, I mag dump someone who just holds it in front of them with no care in the world and either the shield simply won’t break or if I’m lucky it does break but all my guns need to reload (and guess what by the time thats done they already have it up again). But if I even dare to use it all someone has to do is spray for one second and it’s already down, or just bypass it completely. I swear almost all if not every loss I have is due to stupid interactions with the shield. Other than that I personally don’t have too many issues with the other weapons in the game. Been enjoying it a lot.

I only played ranked this season after the Avengers gear had already been removed. Can’t believe Epic even put them in there in the first place.
Armoured walls actually are in Zero Builds for some reason, so are mats and I’m not sure why. I somehow ended up with 400 metal in a Zero Build game.
The auto-turrets might be the worst offender out of all the marvel mythics, imo.
Been killed so many times because it beams you for 20-25 health essentially every second or so, and if someone also has the jetpack they can chase you with the turret and there is absolutely nothing you can do. It's like you don't even really get a chance against it, you're just dead in a few seconds.
It should have a longer cooldown between the bursts it fires, and the lock-on range should be smaller. I believe the damage is okay, maybe a little much, but the fact it's pretty much an aimbot laser that you can't avoid at most fighting ranges is unfair and absolutely unbalanced.

Also, whether it's 15 damage or 20 doesn't matter, because it shoots quickly in bursts with minimal time between them. That's not fair. A whole squad with auto-turrets beaming you for a combined total of 60 damage every few seconds isn't fair, you just don't get a good enough chance to escape when there is limited mobility and the turret has such a large lock-on range.
If you die, you should know it was because you made a mistake and can fix that mistake in future play. When you die without being given a chance to survive out of no fault of your own, that's poor game design. That's why so many people didn't like last season, because it had the same issue with unbalanced and unfair items.

Zero builds exists as a gateway to bring people who can't compete with the high skill gap into fortnite and let them enjoy it. This doesn't mean they should let weapons that are severely unbalanced in that lootpool stay that way, though. They should be doing separate nerfs for zero builds and builds, since that's a large portion of the game's playerbase.
I have nothing but respect for people who play builds, and I don't think it's any problem with sweats, pros, or just good players in general. I simply just can't compete with them, and I often find I don't have enough time or willpower to "get better" at building. I'm also limited by hardware.
In the end, I just want the game to do well and for people to enjoy it, hence why I'm saying the auto-turret should get a nerf that stops it being so unbalanced in a core mode. It may be fine it builds, but it's unfair in zero builds and becomes the dominant meta which isn't good for a game that allows for lots of playstyle expression.

"Run sprint in one direction and turn" you are describing a wall bounce, my friend, and it sucks.
There's lots of counter strategies. They are hard to fight against but not impossible. The only descent cover is shield bubbles and side ducking in and out to toss back right peek damage to Captain Doom Machine. The other option is to practice that crazy side and back boosting with the jetpack.. Jetpack at distance, negates the auto turret and the Doom gloves, and makes it harder to hit with Rockets and Machine Gun from the gloves.
For people boxing up with iron plate walls...shockwaves. Shockwaves still break them. Reverse Shockwave through, break the wall tag em with a shotty.
I've made sure to carry them to also solve the cheeky buggers that trap you in the weapons bunkers using the walls.. Shockwave out, easy peasy.

The rockets of the arsenal have a pretty short range only going 25 meters I believe so if you keep your distance you can kill the player using it
The auto turret can just be out ranged
The jet pack can be countered pretty heavily since it leaves you in the open while flying

Yeah the ballistic shield was annoying, so was the frenzy Auto but at least you can do something against them. In season 4, all new items are very hard to counter. And there are a lot of them. The new items are fun except for when low skill players do nothing but use cap’s shield and auto turrets. That’s the same reason as to why we hated the cars last season, they were really fun, but not when noobs killed half the lobby by sitting in one the entire game.

I think that they definitely should've split the lootpools, but other than that, I'm having a blast with this season, since Hero weapons (except Doom Gauntlets) are relatively common, I don't usually find myself outright destroying anyone, sure there may be the ocassional free kill from someone who's only defense is an uncommon striker burst and a rare sovereign shotgun but again, that's not typically the case in my experience and if I die, then I don't find myself being all that frustrated since it was a pretty fair 'bout
"Just adapt" is really code to "your way of playing for fun is wrong and if you don't play this specific way you'll loose 200% of the time" and the sweat way is so dull and boring in all honesty
as a casual: this season is just. not fun,, i warmed up to last season against my will because like, at my fault i suppose, i believe we shouldn’t have to drive a busted car (or in the case of this season, carry all the marvel weapons) just to win. i have a lot more fun when the game ends in an actual gun fight and not a one person has jetpack and the other doesn’t

Here’s a hot take, I actually like the duel SMGs, also as to the game the thing I liked about the last season before the Marvel Collab going on currently is previously that it didn’t seem that difficult to play, like I’ll be completing quest for tasks or anything that the games wanting me to complete but I can’t do that half the time in this season because it seems like every 10 seconds I’m having someone run up behind me shooting at me

I've been playing Fortnite since Chapter 5: Season 1 with the Underground. I've improved a lot, but the game has become challenging with mythics and Avatar stuff but was still fun to play. Even the Nitro season was my more frustrating season but I found great pleasure in it because of the cars. Then MARVEL came in.
This season, I played 141 matches in ranked and 236 in casual (as of typing this), and it's been frustrating. The new MARVEL GEAR is causing issues, and I'm questioning if I'm just the worst player or if the weapons are too much to handle. Despite winning a few crowns in solo matches, Winning doesn't even feel good anymore.
I recently had a debate about the overpowered Marvel weapons in Fortnite with an acquaintance. He said, "Maybe you're just mad because someone knows how to use them." It's a good point, but it doesn't help that he's been playing Fortnite since it first came out, while I only started less than a year ago. Plus, it doesn't make the weapons any less overpowered than they already are.
I've noticed that it's getting harder to find good mobility items in the game. Sometimes, I'm lucky to find just 2 shockwave grenades for an entire match, if at all. Jetpacks are a rare find for me it's laughable. Despite these challenges, I haven't given up. I'm still trying to get better, but I'm not expecting to win anytime soon. I'm hoping that the next season will be manageable. Hopefully more fun too.

My only issue with this season is when people pull up on me with a shield, auto turret AND a jetpack on top of that. Like youre not even playing the game atp, youre just blocking and letting your auto turret get me low enough to where you feel like you can finish me

Specifically bringing up that doom gloves are horribly OP (theyre not, theyre slow and have a huge bullet drop) when literally theres only 1 glove on the map which you can choose to fight for yourself. Whereas for cars everyone had them for free and you have to use them whether you liked it or not. Insane take

Last couple seasons sweats have shown that if you mess with their house building they get sad and cry. I'd say keep them corralled in ranked mode where nothing changes except the seasons current gun rotation and leave the fun new experiences to normals. That way they can can shotgun and tower build on each other for another couple years....at least until Disney finally just buys Epic and turns FN into Toontown 3.

10:25 The Doom gloves are nowhere close to the Magneto Gauntlets. I felt the Doom's gloves were actually pretty underpowered for only having one in a match.
Jet pack trick, if your hover button is the same as the boost button, you immediately boost the moment you start flying. It may be a little uncontrollable if you’re just trying to fly upwards, but it’s brain dead easy to do boost dodges and movement shenanigans. Controller player here, might be different for keyboard.

i see what you are putting down but ive actually havent had bad times with these mythics. like, yea the first week with caps shield was op asl but, after it got easier to counter. last season it felt like i didnt have a chance at fighting. W vid
I've felt both sides of this season so far. i tried to play competitively. i hated it. i hopped on with some friends, and its a blast. i wouldn't say I'm a competitive player. but i like the option, some days i want to hop into ranked and try hard for a bit. but its just a coinflip if you get good loot or not at the moment. "don't have a jetpack from your first chest. i guess you lose." on the other hand. the items are so fun to use as a squad. nothing beats the fun factor of your team rocking up with War Machine items. so im very split.
The problem with last season is you could just find a mythic car and basically win ESPECIALLY during the beginning

I think for no builds this season is not as horrible as it was when it first released. There's more items now. Far more often you can reliably find mobility like iron Man flight kits and jet packs or panther claws. I've played about 150 games and there has only been one single game where I did not have any power items before the last few circles. The big problem item is the doom gauntlet. Bc there's only one and it's so oppressive for zero build you pretty much have to contest for it bc if you don't you will lose 9/10 times. The shield has also been nerfed to where it really isn't reliable in the late game and only is used to counter war machine rocket salvos. The auto turret is ok but it doesn't do enough to where you need to carry it. Iron Man gloves are a must have bc of the lock on feature, but in general this season has been a blast for me so far. Competitively I can see why it sucks but I think for the base game it's really fun, just take some of the busted stuff out of ranked.
I felt that.. I am trying SO HARD to like this season, but I'll play it maybe once or twice a week which is a lot less than what I usually played before this season dropped.
So what I'm hearing in TLDR is:
“We can't have fun because we have shit luck with drops, so we will blame everything else instead of that.”
In the clip shown at 8:00 that's not an item issue, that's a literal misplay you did by returning onto the island while you're the only one still standing. Both of your teammates are down, you're not at full hp and have only half shield, going against a full squad who is capping the island and are literally looking for people to take down while guarding the spot. This is not an item issue, this is you being an idiot by going back in.
Hell I'll throw you a bone, sure maybe you should've gone back in, you were next to a downed teammate, but instead of helping them up to get a better fighting chance what do you do? You attack all three with doom gauntlets like a dumbass, that item is ONLY good for builds, against people it's absolutely sub-par. Don't blame the items for your lackluster game sense and inability to adapt to the environment.

The items can also be an issue as well. It's not just one of the other between items or skill. 90% of the damage he took in that clip were from auto locks.
@@skelebrosgaming2187 the turrets do 5 damage per shot, and they fire at a rate of 5.5. what you said is absolutely not true. The damage he took is from them shooting at him with either burst AR or with the Striker AR. This is 100% not the item issue but skill. At MOST if the enemy had 3 turrets ONLY it would've cracked him and dented the 50 shield down to like 5% shields. Every other bit of damage was not the auto turret, it was the players outplaying him.

from a zero build perspective, the magneto gauntlets were much more broken than the doom gauntlets.
The only time I had trouble with doom was when I was using portabunkers during the early game in ranked, but I should have been using the bubbles because they are far more common and hard counter most of the bs this season. From my grind to unreal rank, doom gauntlet users were a free kill in the early to late game if I had bubbles and/or the hover jets

Honestly, I just say enjoy it because Fortnite did know some things to the weapons to make up not as powerful but the cars have gotten Nerf this season because I can barely find one
I feel like the reason I am not enjoying the season as much is actually because of the lack of more "Hero weapons".
The first Marvel season had a lot of cool powers: Groot, She Hulk, Storm, Wolverine, IM, Doom, Thor, Venom and BP. This season we only got Cap, IronMan, BP, WM and Doom. Variety made it fun even if you lost.
This season had so much going for it, the theme (while really unappealing to me as i dont like collab seasons) was really awesome ror many, the battle pass being no longer exclusive and having some fan favourite characters is very sweet and i absolutely love the map changes as the new bioke is really pretty (personally its my favourite biome from this chapter cause it doesnt feel like depressing) and the jetpack can be crazy fun.
HOWEVER
This season sometimes just feels crazy unfair and sometimes i die in such BULLSHIT reason it makes me legit alt f4 out if the game and just boot up minecraft and like play on a peaceful difficulty world💔
The season is definitely really easy, I'm enjoying the chaos of it it reminds me of all the silly quirks of the older seasons. Definitely over tuned in terms of some stuff being way over powered but as a complete casual that's kinda what fortnite has always been to me personally.
It's definitely been way too free with the levels though I shouldn't be at level like 115 this early from doing my regular quests and playing a few hours of festival a week.
The jet pack combined with the auto turret and Doom’s mythic is overpowered as hell because your impossible to hit and your constantly doing damage

The trick to the jetpack is having a controller with bottom buttons. It's WAY easier to veer left and right and aim at the same time with them.
As a zero build player thats returning after a few seasons, I wondered why it felt almost impossible to regroup and repair, or heck even get a starting foot on the match.
