I think a funny way of transitioning into Remix would've been Jones talking to hope about the past and Peely being excited to tell it to Hope for Jones and Peely being an unreliable narrator who completely misremembered the events. That way when it's over we could've had a cutscene at the end with Jones writing the whole the thing off readying for whatever story is to happen in Chapter 6.

This isn't even new either. C2S4 and C3S1 advertise marvel as well in major ways. Advertising in Fortnite has been here for years, this season might be a little more obvious but it's not like this is something that's new at all.

The Marvel event had different cutscenes, signature weapons and medallions to mix things up that you all got to use AT LEAST once! Not to mention Fortnite mares and Doom being the introduction to the monarch pistol and sovereign shotgun. Those weapons were fun in my opinion. Despite the Ice Spice weapon and grappler being there, we have already had the ice grappler and whatever ice spice has isn’t saving this season.
They changed the locker to allow complete presets. So when you select a preset, it loads your skin, emotes, wraps, vehicles etc. all at once. It's a feature we used to have, and they gave it back. It's a step in the right direction, I also agree Reload is where it's at.
I loved these. This made chapter 4 so fun. I loved completing goofy achievements or doing something and earning an achievement because it's such a rare thing for anyone to do. They were fun and made earning XP rewarding.
Personally I don't give a flying fuck if it's an ad, I'm having a lot of fun this season so far. Ch2 map looks gorgeous and reloads new map is sick af. W season.

With that the Meowdas turns 1/3 more gold with each kill. 3 for him to be completely gold. The guns turn as gold as he is when he has them. I feel a secret skin will be golden Mewodas that has golden touch. It requires almost no work on epics part because it's a simple code change from assets they already have.
There is a difference between an ad and a well made collaboration Lots of work and attention to detail was put into everything here, and even with the collabs it still feels JUST like Chapter 2

I figured out how to escape Restored Reels during the Prelude event. If you tried to leave, a forcefield would send you flying back. But if you went to one of the corners, you could send yourself flying up, and eventually over the forcefield. I just walked around the low-quality map, and it was a lot more fun than the actual event.

Chapter 4 was an ad for unreal engine thats the only reason we got chapter 4, but that was a chapter thats held high in peoples minds ads don't instantly mean it's bad
Ngl the whole event just killed the hype of this season for me. I started in Season X so early chapter 2 was my favourite time to play fortnite and they butchered it for a bunch of collabs that could have easily just been included in Festival alone. OG was a lot more fun for me because i got to experience a lot of what i missed out on, where this is just a collab with nostalgia in the background. However its not necessarily bad, just disappointing. I do really like this season's lootpool though.
Im sorry, how os bringing something new and interesting to the game disappointing? The reality is you were never going to get chapter 2 back in the exact same way you had it, so if that was all you wanted, you would be disappointed either way. At least we got a remix of the old map with new content so that you can have new experiences rather than playing 1-3 games for nostalgia and then getting bored of the same loot pool and map youve had before because there is nothing actually interesting about bringing those festures back in their original form.

Honestly, I would argue that the Music Pass does belong next to the Battle Pass in terms of UI now that it uses exp instead of Festival Points, and literally everyone who is past lvl 20 has finished it. It would be weird to not be able to see all the other rewards you will get automatically by playing br.

I do somewhat disagree with alot of this video, we have to keep in mind that the entire reason for this season is to copy paste chapter 2 and to try to mash all its golden season into one season, like we have the agency cuz it was everyone fav season, similar to Fortnite OG we had i believe season 9? cuz season 10 wasnt everyone fav season with all the weird future pois. This season isnt aimed to be a permanent feature and is only a buffer season to give Epic some time to work on Chapter 6, so in all honesty, just dont take these season serious, get the pass done and play something else, take a break between the chapters so ur more ready and hyped for chapter 6, thats all that these seasons are meant to be. The whole ending with chapter 5 tho i can agree with, i do wish they did more with Dr Doom, considering how *powerful* hes meant to be, and all we did was fight him for some time and he got sand in his eye and was fuked off. Its a step in the right direction and could be showing us that they are listening to our feedback about world events, but the concert stuff didnt really show that... Tbh with this season i feel like they should of focused more on the whole "Remix" thing and(I do still believe that the season is focused around music which is why they named it Remix but...) they should of had concert from each artist to play when they eventually came onto the island, Snoop being day one release, plays a short concert over his POI every now and then for a few days then when MnM released same thing for him over his POI then who ever the last person was cba remembering her name, but they would be reason for people to be somewhat interested in the season, even if its not a serious season instead of just having a big concert at the start for season release and then just nothing after that... I don't know why people are clowning on you. These are valid criticisms and they care more about the cosmetics and collabs than the actual gameplay. Fortnite is basically succeeding in the same way Roblox is. More and more slop without much substance. I stopped playing fortnite a while ago but came back now for this season. on a side-note, I hope they bring back the old movement. Building and movement feels really slow and loose for me causing me to need to sprint constantly. There was nothing wrong with the old animations. They were Iconic too, I think they changed them just for the new modes and UEFN.

This is just a bunch of nit picking for a game that’s FREE, most of the things you can experience from the doom event to the snoop and ice spice livestream were FREE. Epic has to make their money back somehow, id understand if this was a game we spent money on but so what if there’s bugs that they fix along the way in a FREE game go play cod or apex it’s not that big of a deal.

98% of the Chapter 2 map is unchanged. If you drop anywhere but The Agency or the Grotto...you cant tell its a Remix. Also bro "theres no mobility, BUT the only mobility we have should have fall damage???" WTF? If you sub an extra item slot and carry 2 grapplers, mobility is NOT an issue and if you have an RPG you can cruise around the map in no time. Also, Choppas were gone for 48 hours tops. Sure there's issues with this season, but I'm harpooning people into my Tac shotgun in Misty Meadows and dropping in Slurpy Swamp with a brand new TNTina skin. I'm having fun while other people are being miserable,and i dont feel bad. Just make a minimal effort to have fun this season, and you will.

I think that one of the major problems of this season, for some of us. Is the wasted potential of what should have been OG Chapter 2. The whole theme of this season shallows in compare of OG 1. OG was suppose to homage the magic and originality from the chapter. How it merges the season into one map and how 2 years of content was merged in just 4 weeks. I really enjoy chapter 2 season 2, but also the rest of the chapter itself. It feels disappointing to see not only how this "OG" was only theme around season 2, but even sadder how this one was overtake by a big add. Letting within the battle pass, the map and the theme itself just a gray feeling of something that was suppose to be special.💔

I'm personally of the belief that Zero Build is fine on Apollo, it would be great if insta-builds and shield bubbles weren't in the lootpool because it kinda defeats the purpose of ZERO build (for both standard BR and Reload), but part of the challenge of Zero Build has always been thinking about natural cover, concealment, and positioning. If you want more than what's naturally available, then what you want is build mode, and if you don't like that it's too sweaty, then join the club that's been begging for a nerf for literal years. (I'd just make the hologram parts of builds not have any collision but idk i'm just a founder)
Fortnite Absolute Doom was by far a much bigger ad than Chapter 2 remix. It's a themed look back on Chapter 2. I feel like Absolute Doom was just a miserable drag that killed all the momentum that C5 had going for it.

Ngl the whole event just killed the hype of this season for me. I started in Season X so early chapter 2 was my favourite time to play fortnite and they butchered it for a bunch of collabs that could have easily just been included in Festival alone. OG was a lot more fun for me because i got to experience a lot of what i missed out on, where this is just a collab with nostalgia in the background. However its not necessarily bad, just disappointing. I do really like this season's lootpool though.
Im sorry, how os bringing something new and interesting to the game disappointing? The reality is you were never going to get chapter 2 back in the exact same way you had it, so if that was all you wanted, you would be disappointed either way. At least we got a remix of the old map with new content so that you can have new experiences rather than playing 1-3 games for nostalgia and then getting bored of the same loot pool and map youve had before because there is nothing actually interesting about bringing those festures back in their original form.

Honestly, I would argue that the Music Pass does belong next to the Battle Pass in terms of UI now that it uses exp instead of Festival Points, and literally everyone who is past lvl 20 has finished it.
It would be weird to not be able to see all the other rewards you will get automatically by playing br.
Oh, and to add on, there's a wrap in the pass, which you can't even use in festival.
Great video man, I completely agree with most of the stuff you posted out. The locker is a mess to navigate now and the map is awful for zero build. Zero build wouldn't been so frustrating if there was easier mobility.

I do somewhat disagree with alot of this video, we have to keep in mind that the entire reason for this season is to copy paste chapter 2 and to try to mash all its golden season into one season, like we have the agency cuz it was everyone fav season, similar to Fortnite OG we had i believe season 9? cuz season 10 wasnt everyone fav season with all the weird future pois.
This season isnt aimed to be a permanent feature and is only a buffer season to give Epic some time to work on Chapter 6, so in all honesty, just dont take these season serious, get the pass done and play something else, take a break between the chapters so ur more ready and hyped for chapter 6, thats all that these seasons are meant to be.
The whole ending with chapter 5 tho i can agree with, i do wish they did more with Dr Doom, considering how *powerful* hes meant to be, and all we did was fight him for some time and he got sand in his eye and was fuked off. Its a step in the right direction and could be showing us that they are listening to our feedback about world events, but the concert stuff didnt really show that...
Tbh with this season i feel like they should of focused more on the whole "Remix" thing and(I do still believe that the season is focused around music which is why they named it Remix but...) they should of had concert from each artist to play when they eventually came onto the island, Snoop being day one release, plays a short concert over his POI every now and then for a few days then when MnM released same thing for him over his POI then who ever the last person was cba remembering her name, but they would be reason for people to be somewhat interested in the season, even if its not a serious season instead of just having a big concert at the start for season release and then just nothing after that...
Basically to wrap up, while i agree that the season may feel "Minimal effort" its not a whole chapter 6, its just a buffer season I just got my shit I wanted to get done and moved on to something else so im ready for CHPT 6, i might come back if theres new stuff here n there, but eh, im just gonna relax for now.

I don't know why people are clowning on you. These are valid criticisms and they care more about the cosmetics and collabs than the actual gameplay. Fortnite is basically succeeding in the same way Roblox is. More and more slop without much substance. I stopped playing fortnite a while ago but came back now for this season.
on a side-note, I hope they bring back the old movement. Building and movement feels really slow and loose for me causing me to need to sprint constantly. There was nothing wrong with the old animations. They were Iconic too, I think they changed them just for the new modes and UEFN.

It’s funny with how the Battlepass will work moving forward. Epic has gone backwards, as this battle pass is closer to something you would’ve seen in 2018, which isn’t a good thing because it means we are getting rid of the progress towards better battle passes that epic has been making for the past 6 years.

This is just a bunch of nit picking for a game that’s FREE, most of the things you can experience from the doom event to the snoop and ice spice livestream were FREE. Epic has to make their money back somehow, id understand if this was a game we spent money on but so what if there’s bugs that they fix along the way in a FREE game go play cod or apex it’s not that big of a deal.
I think they couldnt bring back midas because midas is dead since chapter 4 season4 becuase we saw his hand in an vault which means that he probably got killed by kado thorne

98% of the Chapter 2 map is unchanged. If you drop anywhere but The Agency or the Grotto...you cant tell its a Remix. Also bro "theres no mobility, BUT the only mobility we have should have fall damage???" WTF? If you sub an extra item slot and carry 2 grapplers, mobility is NOT an issue and if you have an RPG you can cruise around the map in no time. Also, Choppas were gone for 48 hours tops. Sure there's issues with this season, but I'm harpooning people into my Tac shotgun in Misty Meadows and dropping in Slurpy Swamp with a brand new TNTina skin. I'm having fun while other people are being miserable,and i dont feel bad. Just make a minimal effort to have fun this season, and you will.

I think that one of the major problems of this season, for some of us. Is the wasted potential of what should have been OG Chapter 2. The whole theme of this season shallows in compare of OG 1. OG was suppose to homage the magic and originality from the chapter. How it merges the season into one map and how 2 years of content was merged in just 4 weeks. I really enjoy chapter 2 season 2, but also the rest of the chapter itself. It feels disappointing to see not only how this "OG" was only theme around season 2, but even sadder how this one was overtake by a big add. Letting within the battle pass, the map and the theme itself just a gray feeling of something that was suppose to be special.💔

I'm personally of the belief that Zero Build is fine on Apollo, it would be great if insta-builds and shield bubbles weren't in the lootpool because it kinda defeats the purpose of ZERO build (for both standard BR and Reload), but part of the challenge of Zero Build has always been thinking about natural cover, concealment, and positioning. If you want more than what's naturally available, then what you want is build mode, and if you don't like that it's too sweaty, then join the club that's been begging for a nerf for literal years.
(I'd just make the hologram parts of builds not have any collision but idk i'm just a founder)

Fortnite Absolute Doom was by far a much bigger ad than Chapter 2 remix. It's a themed look back on Chapter 2. I feel like Absolute Doom was just a miserable drag that killed all the momentum that C5 had going for it.
