Everyone who was in Queendom benefitted from the show. Every other girl group gained fans, exposure and validation through the show so they are all winners in a way.
I only know of G Idle, whom I loved since I saw them, and now Mamamoo that's been on Queendom! I'll have to watch the rest!

Same! I mean, Hip's greatness is all in the concept (the diss track). I do like the funk and the choreo, but vocal-wise and arrangement-wise it doesn't compare to most of Mamamoo's previous comebacks, Destiny included.

Solar tripping was worse when they covered AOA‘s „Good Luck“. But of course she went on with the show as if nothing happened.

and by 'was worse', he means after their stage, she realized that it aggravated her slipped disc, so went to the hospital to get that checked out and missed the rest of that day's filming, as well as part of the next day's (which, along with wheein's taking a break due to anxiety meant moonbyul and hwasa had to decide between themselves who would join the dance unit and who would join the vocal unit).
thankfully it wasn't really serious and she was back in full form rather quickly. probably at least partially due to her poledancing, which has been said she took up specifically to work on strengthening her back muscles after an injury in early 2018

it's worth it watching Queendom(the entire episodes) off the air. I too was curious and watched from the first episode to the last one after coming across the youtube snips last year. all the groups were great. am speaking as a Moomoo. loved Destiny which is a mix of country, pop, and other genres.
I going to watch them for sure, but may not react to them to avoid copyright strikes. I see a lot of reactors have patreons where they react to content that may risk copyright strikes, but I really don't want to charge anyone for anything. I just enjoy doing reactions.
I'll always laugh at the ending, because it always reminds me of MMM's 1st preliminary round on Queendom, where during the final rehearsal, MMM was saying the biggest challenge they had was to have a fairy ending (i.e. at the end of the rehearsal, the PD asked them about the ending individual/group pose, all of them had a panic look on their face 🤣). They finally got their fairy ending in their final performance. 🤣🤣👍

i really enjoy your mamamoo reaction videos. unlike some reactors, you seem really genuine and sweet with your reactions. the best thing is you don’t leave a member out. some reactors only focus on hwasa and some male reactors never really focus on moonbyul cos she doesn’t wear revealing clothing which sucks :( and other reactors just leave wheein out and don’t pay attention to her at all but i’m happy that you’re enjoying their performances and that you pay attention to everyone and that you come in with an open mind !!
They're all so talented, sexy, charismatic, and lovable! I don't see how anyone can even pick a favorite in this group!
I was also sad when Idle didn't win in Queendom, but that was the time before I even knew Mamamoo, when i watched Mamamoo's, I understand now why they won and I truly looove and stan them now. 👌

(G)I-dle did some wonderful performances on Queendom, as did all the contestants, but my favorites were by Mamamoo and Oh My Girl. Besides being a great song with a startling mix of musical genres Destiny is an example of Mamamoo's subtle & allusive approach to performance concepts. MMM believes they were destined to be best friends whether or not they were in a group together or even led completely different lives (as seen in the preview teasers for the new album and the Hip MV). Imo in this performance they were doing the equivalent of a kdrama where they tell their story as souls who were fated to be together "through thick and thin" in multiple lives before fulfilling their destiny to be Mamamoo. You've got the spaghetti western OST music with a technicolor sunset over the desert and the good girls in white western style outfits & bad guys in black with masks to set the stage for the telling of an archetypal legend. Hwasa summons up the spirits & memories of the past to start the songstory and angelic Solar floats in through the mists of time to join her. Their struggles are indicated by the dramatic switch to future trap and their determination to overcome the odds are summed up in Hwasa's line "I can wait forever." They finally achieve their fated destiny to be Mamamoo when Solar banishes the memories of past struggles as she repeats for the last time "We were destined to eventually meet again" and the black wraiths disappear, leaving Wheein to sum it up in the last line "We won't desert each other now" as they come together in that final iconic pose that looks like a renaissance sculpture of a classic Greek myth or biblical story.

their music videos are always fun, but they are always best live, as you're seeing here... i hope you get to watch all the performances from all 6 teams involved, just to see what everyone was up against, even if you don't manage to react to them (it's frustrating that mnet so frequently hits people with copyright, but is also extremely inconsistent with it). everybody but one group was going outside their comfort zones with trying so many new genres or styles, something i think is important for growth as an artist (and is sadly something most agencies don't allow for their groups, especially girl groups). the one group not going out of their comfort zone with this was mamamoo, and that's just because they'd been experimenting with new genres basically since their debut, so had been doing it for years, being experimental is firmly in their wheelhouse
every team (i won't say group, since park bom was on her own) had an 'introduction' song they performed, one of their own hits to show what they were about (mamamoo did "decalcomanie"), then they each did a cover of another group's song, with one exception, they were their competitors (one group won the ability to pick any kpop song to cover. mamamoo did aoa's "good luck"), then they each did a 'fandom' performance, something the fans really wanted them to do (mamamoo turned one of their vocally powerful songs into a love song to the fans with "i miss you" and last up, they each did the new song that was introduced with queendom, though every one put their individual song on their next album (mamamoo did "destiny").
there was also a part where they formed a dance team and a vocal team, each using one member of each competing team (park bom used a proxy for the dance team). moonbyul wound up leading the dance team, who performed as a unit together and also had solo segments they got scored on. and hwasa wound up being the mmm member that went to the vocal team, performng a duet with kei of the group lovelyz. all the vocal unit duets are very much worth checking out, as are the dance unit performances

Buuuut it's a bit risky, some people might not coming back to TH-cam to watch the commentary part. But I always come back to TH-cam to watch her commentary part though lol
