How to pronounce Mamamoo members name:
- Solar: "So-La(r)" the "R" is subtle because it's "솔라" (Sol-La) not "솔라르" (Sol-La-Reu). But going by "Solar" is okay though.
- Moonbyul: "Moon-b-you'll" read "b" and "you'll" fast. For the exact pronunciation of "byul", it's "beyond" but replace "nd" with "L" and read it fast too. (because her name is "별" (byeol) not "뷸" (byool)).
- Wheein: "We-in", for the exact pronunciation of "Whee", say it a bit breathy as if you're adding "H" before "We" (maybe like "Whinny" but without "nny"). It's because her name is "휘인" (Hwee-In) not "위인" (Wee-In).
- Hwasa: "Hwa-Sa", the "Hwa" sounds like the breathy version of "What" but without "T". Because her name is "화사" (Hwa-Sa) not "와사" (Wa-Sa).

The name of Mamamoo's fandom is moomoo. Moo means radish in Korean and MMM's light sticks are shaped like daikon radishes. Moomoos are just as dorky as Mamamoo but it's one of the nicest fandoms in kpop. 😊
Imo the inspiration for the first musical style is spaghetti western OSTs, which fits with the costumes and the technicolor desert sunset projection. The switch into future trap comes out of nowhere and I think it's the musical version of the climactic shoot out at the OK Corral. Imo this performance is like a time traveling kdrama where fated souls meet in multiple lives that end with tragic stories until they finally achieve their Destiny to be together. Mamamoo believes they were destined to be best friends even if they never met through RBW and became a group.
I'd be really curious to see your reaction to Mamamoo's "cover" of AOA's song Good Luck on Queendom. I put cover in quotes because calling what they did with Good Luck a cover doesn't do justice to the creativity they brought to the song.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Mamamoo's 2019 series of 10 concerts called 4 Seasons F/W each ran over 4 hours and Hong Kong moomoos said the final concert in HK was 5 hours. Those concerts concluded Mamamoo's four album project called 4 Season 4 Color. Kinda fitting that the concerts were epic in length since the 4S4C series is the most epic, complex, ambitious project ever attempted by a girl group. I highly recommend the 20 minute solo segments by each member at those concerts. Solar's solo performance is iconic and already legendary. If you watch Hwasa's be sure to pick the video by Mintbox and turn on subtitles because Hwasa tells her story and you're going to want to understand what she's saying. 😂

this was from a tv show called queendom, it's really good.The tv show is about 6 different girl groups whom all made a comeback on the same day, so they're competing for first place. I forgot what the prize was, but you should just watch and see.
The prize was a comeback show on music bank (and a trophy 😂)
But yeah the show was amazing! I thought they were gonna pit the girls against each other but it was nothing like that even though they were technically competing. Groups really steps up and showed their creativity and stage presence.

@@Ahjusshi_Brown everyone hated the idea of Queendom when it was announced, saying Mnet tried to pit the girls against each other. But guess what, we're all wrong lol. They're all so supportive of each other (especially the 2nd mission where they had to cover each other's songs). Each and everyone of them managed to show their creativity and talent in the show. They gained new fans too. I'm rooting for a second season of Queendom!
Mamamoo by far than any other kpop group is the best at hyping up the crowd. What made this performance even more impressive is that this was the last performance (not only their but the last group to perform) of a 10 week competition. They needed to nail this performance to see if they would win or lose the whole thing. Queendom was one of the best singing competition shows I've seen in a long time. They are going to have a male version called Kingdom coming out this year.

Probably Wheegolas in the beginning lol. Anyway, I would say “I Miss You” is their best Queendom performance. Pure emotion and love and vocals. This was their first Destiny live stage and I think they were nervous, still killed it though. And I loved their outfits for it!!

There are some of the most iconic performances from girl groups in Queendom, Aoa sorry, G-idle's Lion,Park Bom. Almost all performance were trending when it first came out .
I hardly knew few of the groups in the show but everyone were Queens! Stanned all of them by the end of the show.

Yes, it's insane, but 3 hour concerts are normal for most K-pop groups in Asia, not just MAMAMOO. Some of it is videos and talking, but still, I don't know how they do it either. And since this has become the expectation, fans would probably feel cheated if they got less. I saw BTS in Germany and it was cut down to 90 minutes, and SuJu in Japan which was over 3 hours, and I was surprised how quickly the time flew by!
